The most important thing to find is a sparring partner who won’t take your head off for laughs
ThatBoi R agreed you can learn a lot from a fair and sporting sparring partner👊🏼👍🏼
My first sparring session was vs a Pro cruicer weight😢
Jr Hernandez yea sure
Absolutely. When I used train... too many head hunters.
Its all good if he tries to take my head off off with his fucking head as well no pussies in this sport
Man, good for him, with his high-end matching gear. You know most of us first-timers come in with some mismatched brown gloves borrowed from your friend's dad who used to box back in the Navy during like the Korean war or some shit, you got your mouthguard they gave you in JV soccer, wraps too short 'cause you bought the ones for teens by accident and lost the receipt, headgear may or may not be from a Halloween costume
of the Master Chief from Halo...
gunwild gunwild
I have built up my equipment over many years
I'm not suggesting that you need a full matching winning set and a pair of Nike hyper kos for the first time you go to the gym😆
I didn't mean to imply that, I'm just saying it's nice that you get to use good gear! By the way, like your channel.
gunwild gunwild
Sorry my mistake, if I was a little defensive in my response
Thank you for your comment and glad you are enjoying Fit2Box channel👍🏼
Same bruh 😂
@@Fit2Box gunwild was just cracking a joke lolol. I'm also envious of all the sweet gear you have but you deserve it mate. Your channel is awesome!
dang man all cocained out with the white
Nicholas Sanchez
cocained out?? you mean coked out dumbass
estaban Julio Juan Cortez sanchez haha yeah man
Lol
Scarface mode on
it would be nice of you if you gave me all of that as a late Christmas gift 😂
I have Nike boxing shoes. They are the best I've ever owned.
Can I have the name ?
kiyoshi Hyperko

0:43 I love how you casually said “boxing is a dangerous sport” 😂
🤣 it is a beautiful brutal sport 🥊 love it
The matching colors are so satisfying and clean
Bloody hell! If a beginner had all that I'd definitely label them all gear no idea! 😂 Been boxing for 16 years and only just bought a pair of winning gloves 😂 great video
🤣yes the winning gear was to show my gear at the time
I’m definitely not suggesting you need all winning gear to turn up for your first time at a boxing club
As 1 you would get battered
And 2 probably get robbed as well 🤣
Glad you enjoyed it 😄👍🏼🙌🏼
@@Fit2Box definitely go missing in my first few gyms 😂😂
Love the channel mate I think I'm gonna purchase Cleto Reyas equipment
Those gloves are beautiful!
Well here in Tijuana Mexico we don’t have the money to buy all that stuff, there’s like 15 teens and grown man waiting for there turn to use 8oz old gloves with a wide open headgear with no padding at all hahaha.
That’s where the best boxers come from amigo!
chuck taylor converses have been great for me as boxing shoes in the gym training.
I have addidas training headguard 45 quid venum bag gloves 60 quid ringside sparring gloves 100 quid addidas pretero boots 60 quid and mt4 wraps 5 quid and a 2 quid boil and bite gumshield (btw is the best gumshield ive ever had)
Alan Dunn
you do know I'm not suggesting for one minute that to start boxing you need the winning/Nike gear I've spent years building up don't you😆
I do mention that in the vid👊🏼👍🏼
Best gear channel on youtube
solid video mate. i'd never use any club gear. i recommend saving up and buying quality equipment and if you find boxing isn't for you, i mean hell, you at least kept yourself protected and you can still use it for fitness purposes. i feel the head gear is a mixed bag though as aiba done away with it due to them causing more head trauma than those without it. lite sparring and body only sparring are good ways to train that are really just as effective as having a full spar. but, if you are a full spar only bloke, or even a lite spar or you just want to preserve that beautiful mug... head gear has it's uses. especially if you're a beginner and haven't developed proper guard. always have a good groin piece and gum shield.
You don't need any expensive equipment to start boxing. The title is misleading because he does actually say around 1:20 "once you've decided boxing is for you, then you need to get yourself a kit".
J-WAR
I never said you need expensive gear to start boxing,
I go thru each item of gear listing the different levels of gear quality from low cost to the top gear
My winning gear was built up over years
The title is not misleading if you watch the whole video👊🏼
Thanks for watching and hope you enjoyed the video anyway 👍🏼
If you need a mouth guard, just go to your dentist. Here in Canada my dentist will mold and construct your mouth guard exactly to your teeth for free. They will also have an array of colors for you to choose from. Definite go to your dentist so it sucks to your tooth and will not hurt.
wow all Winning gloves gear...dats REALLY top notch and pricey
Magazines😂😂 I've had a couple of mousemats for shinpads in the past
I like boxing too much
At my local boxing shop I got a pair of tuf wear pegasus for £20 and a pair of Tuf wear viking gloves for £30 and it shows you can get extremely goo gloves for the price of sports direct gloves, there both genuine leather and have lasted really well.
Thank you for the review.
Where do you buy the Winning gloves/boxing equipment? I'm almost tempted to take a flight to Japan to buy it where it's made.
I built it up over a number of years from
Kozuji and pieces off eBay
Great gear👊🏼👍🏼
Fit2Box how much did shipping cost from Kozuji? Did you get stung with any customs charges? If so, how much? Thanks
Two cheap gloves are better deal than one premium glove : buy rdx gel or lonsdale x-lite gloves for bagwork (not effective gloves but good protection and very solid foam + leather) and for sparring : cheap adidas gloves (if you're a beginer you will not overuse them on your sparring partner's face, so no need perfect hand protection and solid leather)
THE MOST important thing are long handwraps, and to be able to wear the properly
great videos. can u do one on the black or blue nike KO boots
Can't you do a video on good budget gloves, headguard, etc?
Check out my review on everlast protex3 grey cuff great value at £42
And check out my UMA vids head guards /gloves great value for money
And my latest video re Lonsdale boots👍🏼
Fit2Box thanks man!
Maxx groin guard Adidas box hog Maxx head gear and ringside boxing gloves
Best video ever 💪🏻👊🏼
Nerf Reviewer nerf or nothing
bruh when I saw the Manny Pacquiao symbol I bout almost yelled
The head gaurd are not meant to prevent brain damage..lol its meant for scratches thats it.
Who said they are to prevent brain damage? 👀
Just fall for that winning set thumbnail, u got me brathan😂🎉
I heard amateur boxing gloves are different than what the pros use; if i plan on competing in the amateurs, are pro gloves prohibited? What do you recommend for amateur gloves?
Hey there, I have a question. I'm planning on buying the everlast boxing shoes, but the problem is there are more than 3 shoes.
Which is Jump shoes, Strike Boxing shoes, Force Boxing shoes. Which one do you prefer and why?
Sorry for my bad grammar.
Please review the RDX headguard (full nose one), only 20 quid and good reviews
Love this
Thankyou
Can I use 14 oz Reyes for sparring? anyway i intend to use it for both training(mitts, bag) and sparring also. im 168cm , 58 kgs
Kanye South
yes no problem for your height and weight👊🏼👍🏼
Thank you for the confirmation. Im a big fan of your channel.
Kanye South
No worries
Glad you are enjoying my channel👊🏼👍🏼
Kanye South no your going to harden the padding
I’ve Got the winning 14 oz gloves, same winning headgear you got, adidas box hog 2 shoes, and some shitty mouth guard
And great video
Great video
Hi I'm confused if buy laced or velcro gloves ? Which do you recommend for an amateur? I prefer laced gloves with lace n loop accessories but I want to hear what you say about it
If you don’t take your gloves off much and already use lace n loops then just get lace ups but if you want to take it off and don’t mind sacrificing some wrist support then go for Velcro
Nice! Great video thank you!
The FightingWarrior
Cheers glad you like it👊🏼👍🏼
finnally someone who knows how to pronounce adidas
Would you Recommend longsdale Boots for your first bout?
100% great value starter boxing boots👊🏼👍🏼
I actually prefer Lonsdale boots, been boxing for years. It takes forever to get where I live in America. I personally think Nike sucks.
What's your favorite gloves to hit the bag with that you prefer?
Is there a way to obtain the Nike HyperKO boot with the Manny Pacquiao logo?
I use the Fighting Sports brand gloves for sparring but they feel like big pillows on my hands, very clunky. I'm considering replacing them with Cleto-Reyes sparring gloves if there is such a thing.
Fit2Box Channel I'm 210lbs, 5'9" and my current fighting sports sparring gloves are 16oz.
Fit2Box Channel Thank you for your response, I have another question for you. I've been using Everlast boxing (mid top) shoes but I'm noticing my ankles are sore after training and I sometimes lose balance during training. I am considering purchasing the Nike Hyperko's, do these shoes offer excellent ankle support for a big guy like me?
Nice
That is the most expensive starter kit you could possibly find
Did you watch the video ? Obviously I’m not saying anyone has the get full winning set and Nike hyper kos to start boxing 👀🤣
That was my gear at the time of the video 👍🏼
I need a coach with level two or something so then can spar with them would be better to first spar with your coach I think
Depends if they go easy on you👀
Some of these coaches can proper box 🥊💥
i hate headgears going over your eyes took some punches i could not see even being slick styled fighter i couldnt do nothing blinded
Just the video I needed. Would you say 14 or 16oz for first gloves?
Depends on your size (what is your height and weight)and if you are going to spar what oz your gym allows
@@Fit2Box spoke to the gym and he reckons 14oz to start with. I ordered a pair of these th-cam.com/video/Vh3DzupJ2js/w-d-xo.html
Used your code fit2box10 for the discount so thank you again!
Do we need shirt in youth boxing if we do then what kind and what brand
If you are boxing for a club they will normally supply the fight vest
Shorts you can get Lonsdale or everlast shorts or obviously more flashy shorts for more money
Fit2Box would it be mind or I need to get my own
Thunder Playz you will need to ask your coach at your gym 👊🏼👍🏼
Fit2Box ok thank you for your time
I know there are groom guards like that but I know a lot of people where cups for groin protection. Is that good enough?
Personal preference really
Dont have money
Zeko yes you will struggle to buy any with no money😆👊🏼👍🏼
friend of mine said "best thing to do if you haven't made the leap into jumping, is to get familiar with running 3 miles"
When he said £250 for his winning gloves I was like 🤯 you wouldn’t get them that cheap anymore 😂
This video is a good few years old
Unfortunately the price has rocketed since
@@Fit2Box yeah it’s crazy how things just rocket in price just after a few years
That gear reminds me of Hajime no Ippo
Blyat Knif3r probably the brand because when they had that one in between part where they were showing the gloves, the shoes and the belt , the boxing glove brand was kind of like a knock off version knock off the winning brand
can u do the sabas regular headgear u already did the facesaver
I'm 6'3 and 195lbs. What oz gloves should I get?
StaleTV 16oz to spar in👊🏼👍🏼
What are those pads that you put on your knuckles? Hand wraps come first then you put like a bean bag type thing then you tape it. Everytime I hit the bag my knuckles get really bruised
Papi Detroit put a soft cloth around your knuckles
th-cam.com/video/9SXzO1sGKRs/w-d-xo.html
One question please can you answer?
Do I have to wear jock straps or regular boxer underwear before wear the groin guard?
You do not need a jock strap if you have a groin guard
i wish i had winning gear
Jose Chavarria
Took me 2 weeks worth paycheck to buy gear lol
Do beginners need boxing shoes if we're just doing bag work like heavy/speed/double end bag work or just regular sneakers?
I would get a cheap pair of boxing boots as they have better ankle support and soles for boxing movements
@@Fit2Box oh ok something like this? www.titleboxing.com/title-speed-flex-encore-tall-boxing-shoes
@@Shady-bh6ok yes you don’t have to spend loads but boxing boots are designed for the job
Some soles of trainers can grip too much so as you are pivoting and boxing can not be great fir the joints
@@Fit2Box alright thanks a lot!
Unfortunately in Mexico poor ppl can't afford that.
Cleto Reyes in mexico is cheap
/ Kappo cleto Reyes are like 1000pesos
The motorcycle helmet analogy is a bit off. The $30 helmet is just as protective as the $300 helmet. All helmets have to pass through stringent CE testing to be allowed on the market. The difference in helmet price is comfort, wind noise, ventilation, design etc. Not safety. However in boxing headgear, you usually get what you pay for in protection. One caveat, the cheapest protection is the best, defense.
voongnz
It’s fair to say I’m no motorcycle helmet expert😆
Si alguien sabe de un canal de boxeo de calidad como este canal, por favor avisemme
i’m 5’11 155 lbs what oz gloves do you recommend?
david lincon to spar in minimum 14oz prob 16oz better
For bags for conditioning 16oz
If you are working on speed lower oz gloves 10,12,14👊🏼👍🏼
where you can buy winning accessories
How long does it take to start sparring from a total beginner I’ve only had ones lesson just getting foot work at the minute basics lol but from your experience how long does it take off training it had to say before your allowed to spar ages? Doing one hour a week at the minute
Depends on your coach he will tell you when you are ready
Get the basics down first👍🏼
@@Fit2Box about 6 months?
@@Fit2Box also have you seen them powerstance things was thinking of getting one help you stay in your stance
@@Hondafn speak to your coach you might not need one
@@Hondafn depends how good you are could be quicker
what size is your groin guard and headgear? @Fit2Box
Large and large 👊🏼👍🏼
how come your Hyperko1 has a logo on it?
They were the manny pacquiao version no longer available
we are manufacturer and exporter all kind of gloves best quality
good dilevery time cheap rates
Can u wear skins in a boxing match
What do you mean by skins?
Hey I'm looking for a winning like equipment, but I don't want to spend the money do you have any advice that would help me.
Alex King RDX is cheap and decent quality, I love my 16 oz rdx gloves
Fighting brand
Get a job and save your money maybe?
Id really have a pair of winning gloves in living in Germany and I can’t get a pair. Only on eBay and for 300 Dollar where can i get a cheaper pair? Greetings
Tony Montana try ratuken or kozuji
👊🏼👍🏼
Do you think if I am the one to wear groin guards others say to me that it is ridiculous?
What?!?
Everyone should be wearing one 😂
@@Fit2Box in my gym nobody wear groin guard ahahahah
@@As-oi6km no one ?!? 👀 change gym 😂
@@Fit2Box in Italy few wear it 🤦 as i see until now
@@Fit2Box I talk for amateur
If you have to watch a TH-cam video to find out what you need to start boxing you’re not ready to start boxing. ☝️🥴🤜💥🤪
It’s an equipment video not a skills video 🤣
I want Reyes boxing gloves what's a good store in ChulaVista that I can get boxing gloves
alina sanchez amazon is more reliable.
Ringside . Com
I got clecto ryes for training what your opinion on the gloves
Fit2Box Channel thanks
iMiCy IT all comes down to personal preference I dislike cletos sparring training gloves but love there traditional Reyes contest gloves but I'd recommend spending money n gett a pair of winning or grant miles better then Reyes training gloves
U must be loaded haha the gloves the headguard and the groinguard are like 250 each the wraps are like 30 quid
Alan Dunn it's took me years to build up my winning gear😀
Is this the now “like2box” ? At redhill?
Killer456912
No
Nothing to do with me😆👊🏼👍🏼
all of that is more than 500 dollars... that's crazy
Rada as stated in the video the gear featured is my personal gear built up over years
I used them just so I can talk about the different items people can buy
I’m not suggesting that people new to Boxing buy all winning gear
For each item I do talk about the different levels/price of gear available
As with anything you can spend a little or a lot on the gear for your chosen sport👊🏼👍🏼

What's the best boxing shoes for wide feet?
Rival or reebok I would say
@@Fit2Box thx. Already have reebok and i really love them. Will try rival soon
Title should be "what you need to start boxing" (if you are made of money)
How 🤷🏻♂️when I explain in the video that I have just used my winning gear to highlight my gear 🤦🏻♂️
at no point do I suggest buying winning gear to start boxing if you watch the video I actually suggest quite the opposite
6”2 232lbs or like 105kgs what gloves should I get in oz
Minimum 16oz maybe 18oz definitely a well padded 16oz not below 16 to spar in
Fit2Box thanks for the reply one more question my right wrist always hurts while doing lag work etc esp when I’m throwing a uppercut do you know why or what kinda other things I can use besides hand wraps mine are (4.5M long) but still painful
Luk Phom you could use more of the handwrap around the wrist (not to tight) and perhaps reduce power with that hand when on the bag you will need to do this for a decent period of time to see if the wrist heals - I suspect total rest of the wrist (no bag work with that hand) may be good if frustrating option
What website do you use to buy winning
I historically got mine from Kozuji and from eBay but of course you have to know what you are looking for to avoid the fakes
I'm wanting to be a boxer and I'm only 9
Fantastic age to start boxing 👊🏼👍🏼
I'm a pro boxer
Without any gears
Ha ha nice joke-.-
that set in the beginning
Nike Hyper KO : $200
Winning velcro glove : $420
Winning head gear: $325
Winning groin protector: $275
Winning Handwraps : $25
mouth guard: : $20
over $1200 to start boxing lol...
just take a good sports shoe and some handwraps. most boxing gyms will provide gloves for you.
Did you actually watch the video? 🤷🏻♂️ or just look at the thumbnail and comment At no point did I say buy all the winning gear to start boxing🤦🏻♂️ I clearly state in the video the different levels of gloves , mouth guards, headguards, etc -please watch the full video before commenting such rubbish
Like I’m recommending people spend $1200 before they start boxing 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ come on man do you know how stupid that sounds
It's not $1000 to start boxing he never said you need to spend that much. It's
$60 Cheap everlast gloves
$10 wraps
$15 mouthguard
$120 headgear
The last 2 are optional so really it's only about 70 bucks to start boxing
brother.iam.making.allrounder
And how much in total? Because this seems like in total would be around 300$ maybe?
Fit2Box Channel Your gear, How much does your hole boxing gear cost?
NightyNight oh boyyyy. In total over 1,000$ easy. Winning is like the designer brand of boxing
RoadToProBoxing we’re looking at 1,200 buddy
I’m 15 6foot and 180lbs I’m a little over weight, should I loose some weight before going into boxing or should I go into it now
At 15 you are still growing so I would fight at your natural weight obviously make sure you are as fit as possible but I’m not s big fan of 15 year olds boiling down to weights although I know it goes on
I would ask your coach
As to which weight division would suit you best👊🏼👍🏼
