- I purchased my Cartier Love Wedding Band Ring in 18K Yellow Gold 2 years ago. In this video, I talk about the wear and tear of the ring after wearing it for almost every single day for 2 years as well as my overall thoughts on it and whether or not I would recommend it. Nice review, thanks! The likely reason the ring scratches easily is because it is 18k gold. Although it makes the color richer, the higher the gold content, the softer the ring. That's why jewelry isn't really made out of 22k and 24k gold...it wouldn't hold its shape for long. Many jewelers recommend 14k for engagement rings and other pieces worn daily and 18k for special occasions or careful daily wear. Only a few scratches after a couple of years is good though!

How do you know they're increasing their prices?
The Purse Forum is usually my go to for updates and research. It’s an online forum where lux lovers all over the world post their knowledge and opinions on particular items. A lot of them have good relationships with their sales associates so they get first hand knowledge of price increases etc. and often post it on a thread there.

Love your ring!💕 Would u recommend getting a half size up to one's normal ring size or stay with your usual size?
Unfortunately Cartier don’t offer half sizes. I’d suggest going in store to try it on if you can, but if you can’t, Cartier online offer great returns. I say order your normal size and if it’s too tight, you can exchange it for the size up 😊

It’s a beautiful and classic piece! I hope you can tick it off your wishlist soon! 🤗 unfortunately mine didn’t come with either when I purchased in the boutique 😔 I was told only the bracelets come with the cleaning kits. But I’ve seen others where they received it. I think it depends on the boutique and your SA. Definitely worth asking if you do make the purchase though!

How much was it when you purchased the ring? Do they increase the prices by a specific % quarterly?
I think it was around $1,450 AUD when I purchased it. Cartier, just like many other luxury brands, often do price increases. Usually once a year of around 3 -5% depending on the item. I would definitely say get it sooner rather than later if you can and you know it’s something you really want and will wear because the prices will only keep increasing!

Hello! I’d suggest sizing up one size from your regular ring sizes. I find that it fits more snug because of the thickness of the band. If it ends up being too loose, then you know for sure to size down to your normal size (everyone’s fingers are different). Cartier offer really good returns and exchanges so it’ll be a relatively simple process if you need to exchange the size. If I’m being completely honest, you’re paying for the Cartier brand and all the packaging. The design on the ring is unique to Cartier though so it’s worth it in my opinion 😊

im sure if you took this to a jeweler they could buff out all the scratches and have it look brand new. cant do that too mant times but a few especially before big events is reasonable.

No not at all! I also have the small love bracelet and small juc ring in 18k yellow gold and no issues whatsoever. 18k is pretty sturdy imo. I think 24k is when it gets soft.

Do you wear the ring while showering and to bed or do you take it off?
I take off all my jewellery before showering and going to bed (with the exception of my small love bracelet) because I’m used to always taking off my jewellery. However, you could definitely keep the love ring/wedding band on 24/7 if you prefer because it’s solid gold and won’t tarnish or anything ☺️

Do u recommend rose gold colour?
The Cartier rose gold is really pretty! It looks very similar to the yellow gold unless you compare them side by side. Apparently Cartier has trademarked that rose gold colour so you won’t find any rose gold like it! However, I’ve heard that the rose gold can fade over time (over many years of wear) and it turns more yellow gold. I can’t speak to that as I don’t own any rose gold pieces from Cartier but I think if you love the look of it, go for it! Worse case - you’ll end up with a yellow gold looking piece which is what you would’ve gotten anyway - so at least this way you get the best of both worlds 🤣

@@connyewest8664 I think that’s perfect! The 53 can feel quite tight during the summer as my fingers swell a bit from the heat. I think the 54 would’ve been perfect for me - or maybe because I’ve gained a bit of iso weight which is why the 53 feels tighter 😂
