NICE 2020 Guideline updates on AAA management (www.nice.org.uk/guidance/ng156/chapter/Recommendations#repairing-unruptured-aneurysms): Urgent surgical repair for a ruptured aneurysm: EVAR is preferred in all women and men over 70 years old, otherwise, open repair is preferred. Elective surgical repair if asymptomatic AND ≥5.5 cm, OR >4.0 cm AND grown by >1cm in 1 year. Either open or EVAR can be performed, but open repair is now preferred, although this remains controversial.
