Black jodhpuri se saath best footwear is Oxford & Monkstrap. I suggest ki stick with black color jo aapke overall outfit to symmetry dega & will look apt. Pocket square & saafa laga lena which will go good. Best wishes to your brother & entire family 😊

In winters, some functions are held in the open. What headgear to wear with a bandhgala apart from Safa or pagri to give some minimal protection to the head? Generally I see people wearing a Beret Cap. I tried Fedora , but it didn't go well.
Hello Subroto. A very important question which no one has asked me about. Unfortunately, there is no headgear (to the best of my understanding) which cover us during winter & go well with Bandhgala / Achkan / Sherwani or Kurta - except Safa or Pagri (infact these ARE the Indian hats).
Beret is a cap of French / Italian orign & Fedora is an American thing. People wear them but they not at all go well Indian ethnic.
I will be mindful from now if i see anything in this regard & urge you to kindly update me if you find so.

Hello brother. Please DON"T do it. Any suit in general & Bandhgala in particular looks best when all elements are worn together - jacket, trouser, footwear & accessory, making the wearer look Dapper. Jeans being a casual attire will lower the gravity of outfit (especially when you plan to wear it in a special / important occasion). It will result in wearing a thing which is neither formal, nor casual, neither funky nor stylish

Bandhgala's beauty is it goes well with same color trouser (recommended) but also with contrast color. Best option is to go it with ivory / badge trouser. They give a nice support to black as compared to white which is too contrast. Remember the choice of trouser should not effect the color of accessories - footwear, pocket square or turban.

the most conventional is Mandarin Collar (also known as band collar). Another option is to wear a round neck (O neck) t-shirt. It will do the same work except collar area will not be visible
