I did add the seat to my sectional but I just ordered legs for the new seat as missing parts through their website and added and ordered hooks to attach the seat to the bed part . Very easy and you don't have to flip the sectional like this to attach it.
Did you add a finala section to an existing vimle section? I am trying/thinking to attach a finala corner section to two vimle couches I have and make them as one
Can I finish the sectional with this configuration? (Ottoman-single chair-corner section) I would prefer to leave that end open and not have an armrest hence the Ottoman but the literature on the ikea site doesn't explicitly say that would work because the single chair has no legs I dont think
Here in Europe, it came with Karhult seat cusions. I bought this sofa and after only 15 days using, seat cushions collapsed, sagging, sitting is not confortable...
you dont need to do this, there are parts from ikea you can buy that can make a sofa or loveseat not have a side section and use feet. If you want to join two sofas or sofa and loveseat as an example, you will need parts: 2x 155857, 2x 155858, 4x 191109, 6x 100099. This gives you the hardware to have feet on the joining pieces. Kudos to the home grown solution, I was going down that path as well but when looking at Finnala book 3, it shows how to attach an ottoman without without having a side which would normally have contain the feet and then I just wrote the hardware numbers for pieces I needed to have a sideless sofa, multiple by 2 to join 2. I was also surprised that when I went to Ikea spare parts website, entered these parts, they came out to be no charge! Hope this helps someone less handy and hope I got parts right as I am still waiting for them. But encourage if you have book 3 instructions on Finnala to look at that.
IKEA never intended for the 3-seater to connect to a single seat module. There are plenty of other configurations that work though, without need of modification.
