This guy is experienced at unloading. They don't put rookies on the "hook" when large cobblestones are being unloaded. A man can get a broken leg or worse if he isn't paying attention.
If you don't put a rookie on the job, how is said rookie ever going to become an experienced hand?
Humans have made some impressive stuff. Someone said, Hey I want you to build me a boat to move THOUSANDS of tons of rock with. Ok we got you. I also want it to be unloaded by 4 guys in less than an hour... From start to finish it's all amazing.

Self unloading as opposed being unloaded from the shore. This ship doesn’t need a crane or excavator on the dock and can unload anywhere.

@@grampus2112 the ship has all the machinery and the men it needs to unload on board and can unload itself. That includes the men needed to operate the machines. A ship that can not self unload only has cargo holds but no machinery to empty them. They need a big crane on the harbour pier to help them and can only unload in harbours that have the right crane.
Self unloading doesn’t mean 100% automated without any need for human labour. Not sure how I can explain it any easier.
