It's amazing to me now how driving is taught as I passed my test on1983/1984 I forgot which year but I think it was1984. No sat navs. No tell me show me questions. We did3point turns which I loved as was brilliant at them. No theory test but questions on the highway code. I took my daughter out for more driving time as she had done a lot of lessons so knew the basics and she was teaching me how people are taught now~totes so differently to how I was taught. I refused to take her out due to no dual controls in my car as opposed to an actual instructor. She only almost killed me one time at a huge roundabout with6exits and we were stationary waiting to join the⏺️&she decided to pull out into the path of a white Mercedes and the air was🟦.I've no idea why she pulled out but I literally got home and had a stiff🥃🍻as I literally saw my entire life pass before my👀

Hi, yes I agree. Back then was very simple. No technology and just road markings and signs. They have taken away the 3 points turn and reverse turning around the corner now.
Without dual controls it's a little more difficult teaching a learner with no experience. Will have to be extra careful. Or maybe just take your daughter on the more quiet residential side roads first. As for roundabouts, it's not easy, would recommnend to train with a professional instructor with dual control. Be safe! Thanks

@@MVRdriving She's passed her test now. I've often thought of seeing if I could pass a driving test today as you do fall into bad habits. I drove an 🚑 in the USA for a few years which was fun and I found it difficult to get back into driving in the UK. I was actually in a crash in an🚑and was telling the chief of the squad what had happened and the first thing I said was that I wasn't the driver that evening.
