32:58 Isn't this the Minkowski distance? When k=2, the result is Euclidean; when k=1, Manhattan. Chebyshev distance creates a square pattern, Manhattan a diamond pattern. Minkowski approaches Chebyshev when k is large.

Start at my very first video: Shadertoy for absolute beginners. You can just go look at my videos, sort them by date, and watch them starting with the oldest. Everything I have ever done is explained.
Myeah that could be done. Although it's quite similar to ray marching for dummies. It's just that instead of marching to find the scene intersection, we use analytical methods to find the intersection point directly.
