Kpop Fridays: First Time Reaction to B.A.P

Join me every Friday as I learn about a new Kpop group. Every four weeks, I will explore one group to get to know their personalities, songs and to see if anyone can cause an upset to my top 5 kpop groups. This is week 2 of B.A.P. Looks like someone wants to crack my top 5 Kpop Dancers list. N.ot the strongest start but I am intrigued to learn more about this group

If you'd like some more light-hearted/funny MVs I definitely recommend Feel So Good, Crash, and Where Are You? What are you doing?
The dance practice for Feel so Good is a funny one too.
I would recommend watching some funny moment compilations too because they are super goofy.
The curly haired one you took a liking to is Yongguk our deep-voiced leader.
And the main dancers are Jongup and Zelo.
Zelo was the one who hit the mean spin in Wake Me Up. And it is pronounced to rhyme with Jello, which they'd even call him Jello as a pet name :)
And I love that you caught on that if you hear someone hitting an unnecessarily amazing high note its Daehyun. He is an adlib king on the stage as well!! Adds adlibs to almost every song when singing live.

B.A.P were the best fantastic Vocals and they could all really dance there main dancer is Moon Jong-Up who to this day is one of the best dancers out there as they weren’t from one off the big 3 company’s he doesn’t get the respect he deserves. He just appeared on Peak time were his skills we’re definitely on show. A lot of there tracks are hard hitting and very socially aware. But they also have a softer fun side to

I agree you pick the wrong dance practice lol
However they do sing really well live which is why you usually see most members get a small solo part with the backup dancers
Also it looks a bit chaotic since they have these 6ft men in a tiny dance studio with extra dancers even the dancers looked confused on how to leave the fram
Hands up was sadly their last official comeback before disbanding
I was lucky enough to see one of their concerts before they disbanded as they disbanded after their Europe tour so they do hold a special place in my heart
Majority of their music is more on the serious side and talks about mental health and societal problems where as other songs like Stop Stop it are just very goofy and light hearted
Pretty sure Stop Stop it was a B-side track
Wake me up was about mental health struggles
I believe Younguk wrote the song after taking a break due to his depression
Fun fact the actors in the video are actually TH-camrs and some TV personalities that live or were staying in South Korea at the time
Back then if you were a foreigner living in korea you would be casted as a actor for Dramas or music videos usually in a very minor roll or just in the background
Tho now you dont see it as often in music videos as everyone is traveling abroad to shoot music videos these days

Having a lot of fun with your reactions.
They do have better dance practices tbh haha like feel so good just bc its fun, and young wild and free is way cooler, its a shame theres no dance practice oractice to Warrior because their debut was pretty intense choreo wise. But heres the thing. Their earlier songs were very very choreo heavy but later they developed a more all around performace vibe? And their company dropped the ball pretty hard on a lot of things (having subtitles, releasing actual dance practices for many songs, having more of that bts content today make reacting to groups more fun, etc). Its still and amazing ride bc they were a fucking talented group but still, some songs have incomplete or no dance practice, skydive has the lyrics tomed wrong on the 1thek channel...
Anyway lol I'm sounding very gloomy but i assure there's still a ton of amazing music to discover and also variety and fan content. 😅
About the killing ppl... They didnt do it in absolutely every video but enough that thay have a KDA count video (kill/death/assist) as if they were a video game lol.
For serious songs 1004 and young wild and free
For fun stuff, Carnival is super fun if you want to go that route (it's a bside) , feel so good isnthe title track and its so light , That's my jam.is another ridiculous one.
And for some more rapper stuff theres Pray, a serious song thats just yongguk and Zelo
Radio versions of Bang bang and Carnival are also super recommended.
