I came from Derby as I started learning about Nepal around 3 years ago as I worked with some retired Gurkhas. I’m 50 now but last year for first time ever left the UK and visited Nepal. Nepal ramro lagyo.
What an amazing country, coming to the Mela felt like being back in Asan Bazzar Kathmandu ma ❤
Some Nepali haru laughed and like my t shirt as it has the Union Jack with Nepali flag and written in Nepali Gora at the front 😂👍🇳🇵
It was great again to only hear Nepali and switch from English to thinking in a Nepali again.
I’m glad you’ve pointed out the children’s books, I might buy some so I can be ekdham ramro Gora is if I can write Nepali as well as speak. Mero Nepali sathi haru would be ekdham khusi 👍

Shame there were only about 10 Gora and not enough other British people to see all this.
Although I have said, it was ok for me as even though I only understand a little Nepali I do recognise the bhasa so feel at home hearing it. If my wife had come it would have been hard as she doesn’t know.
