Abbie-I just finished the on demand interview-all of the questions are the STAR Questions and there is one about the Core Values-what is the one that is most important and how does it fit your life.
I was a flight attendant at another airline. I don't know about now, but years ago being a flight attendant prior to applying to Delta didn't make a difference and wasn't much of an advantage. One issue I had was that I wasn't seen or considered diverse. If Delta thinks you're diverse or fit into that category you have a pretty good chance of at least getting a face-to-face interview other than that they don't want you. On the flight attendant end Delta is really big on diversity.
Straight acting and appearing white guys almost never get hired in unless their internal candidates. They don't want straights sharing rooms with gays because of the conflicts that can arise.
Up to 50-60 people show up to each event. If your application is purged from your profile 1-5 days after going to Atlanta, and for many its 1-3 days, you are not getting hired. They tell you at the end of the event it can take 10 days, but that is BS because anyone not called to take the shuttle by group to the airport, and is among the last Appx.15 to stay gets the offer. They do this because they don't want anyone getting angry at the event knowing they didn't make it right there. The old way they selected was that they would call about 10-15 names to stay and tell everyone goodbye and get on the shuttle ASAP and it caused anger as people left. She's just talking her head off and this is all gibberish😂
It was different when I was hired with USAirways. I just went to the open house group interview, seat belt demo, second interview, background check, and drug test. I was hired on the spot after the final step!
Hi! I interviewed for Delta last year in February, went to the face-to-face, completely bypassed the virtual Zoom call interview which I thought was weird but cool. Recently reapplied and I'm hoping I get called again I know I was a little nervous for the ftf, I'm hoping this time I'll get through Thanks for your tips!
I rushed through the virtual job tryout! This was where I messed up! I know that I can do the job since I have experience as a Flight Attendant in the past.
Thank you. Great info! How in-depth should your answers be in the video interview? I’ve seen some very long answers that sound great, but I just don’t know how much information is necessary for each answer. Can you give an idea? Also, do you answer every question using the STAR method?
I was too nervous for the virtual job tryout. I'll have to wait six months. I had tech issues with PSA and their website didn't upload! It's been a challenging start but I'm not givng up! I would like to join your community because I need help with the assessments and the interviews. I have Flight Attendant experience from a while ago before 9/11.
Thanks for this update! I might reapply, but I’m wondering if you can do a video on American Airlines interview process? I’m waiting on news after the virtual group interview. Lol. And I’m nervous.
Hello Abbie, I am really excited about joining the Delta team. I applied last night Sept 16th for the Flight Attendant position . Which they did respond to my application but then I checked my passport and realized that it will expire on January 15 2026. So I am 2 months short of the 30 months. If I start the process in getting a new passport I am not sure if I can get it back in time for the 1st day of training.
Literally same situation but mine expires Jan. 15, 2024. The online renewal is closed but if you send it in you can get it expedited if you want to and if not the renewal process from what I researched should take up to a couple months. Other videos have said the hiring process for Delta can take months though anyways. Renewal info at 8:01 of this video 👍🏽
Thank you Ms. Abbie 🙏🏼 I got a f2f interview for Delta Endeavor Air and am so nervous but your videos really help me a lot. I really appreciate your honesty, guidance and friendly communication. I will fly on 1/22 to MSP and I hope it goes smoothly. I applied in hopes of a career move from the cafe/restaurant world and take the skies as a new journey. This one is 4 weeks training and I’m assuming is 6 days of training. Do you have any insight on Endeavor Air
I’m glad they just have the virtual job tryout because last year they kept sending me the thank you for waiting emails and I just kind of gave up because when it was finally scheduled I couldn’t really do the live interview because of something I had going on at that time after wait for like months..
I see that delta is still hiring flight attendants right now. Do you know how soon they start you to flying once you complete all the interviews and training and get your wings? And do they hire any other months of the year for 2024 hires?
If you're a straight acting and appearing white guy you won't get in. The only way you can bypass that is by being an internal employee and they only let a few slip through the cracks. If you're a straight white male and minorities evaluate you, you won't get in. Trust me.

Hi Abbie, My daughter applied today as soon as the portal opened around 8:30AM. She did not get an Assessment. Her 2 friends applied & got an assessment within 5 minutes. Please advise
I applied September 7th and still haven’t heard from them. Only emails saying it’s in review. Seems strange to me. A client of mine’s that works for delta said they might be freezing hiring till next year because of the Israeli/Hamas war. Don’t know why that would have anything to do with it.
The reason that most airlines still prohibit tattoos is that in some cultures around the world, tattoos are considered utterly offensive or "taboo." As far as base assignments go, it would be really nice if they could somehow post the bases being hired for in the job posting. For example: Flight Attendants - Atlanta | Flight Attendants - Salt Lake City, etc.
Abbie🌷many thanks for all your information that helps a lot those like me that want to pursue this career! I have a question: I created a profile on Delta’s website but I have uploaded the wrong resume and I’ve tried to remove/delete this attachment but nothing removes it is there another way to do that?
No you do not need to live close to base, but it does help in terms of time and commute purposes. I've been told you can live anywhere in the world! Some people are coming from Europe, Asia, anywhere and everywhere. Commuting can be tough though so keep that in mind.
