Its a miniature mice tail made by peters custom baits and it floats. Its very well youll get a bite from a trout on a carolina rig if your bait isn’t floating 🤘
Its a company called mountain cork. They make a wide variety of cases and can do custom stuff as well. Here is a link to the website mtncork.com/collections/spinning-rod-cases
We are goin up to the Sierras Memorial Day weekend. I believe thats when yhe tournament has been rescheduled to. We’ll be in Utah the weekend of the 11th 🤘
Was at SARL yesterday was thinking what color to throw watched this video did that corn yellow nothing on the bait for everyone and wait then tried dds a yellow and white minnow and hit limits and got my PB keep up the videos !
@SeaSpankerOutdoors Great fishing with you again Rob at Lake Gregory! 🎣 Hope to see you again, perhaps at Lake Gregory after the restocking. Tight lines Rob!🎣
Rob, im looking for that green rod bag you use. It looks like something i would like to have to protect my rods and reels from getting banged up in the back of the truck.. great videos, thanks
Good stuff man, gooood stuff.👊🙂 I THINK the next time I go here it'll HAVE TO BE Midweek to increase the possibility of makin a catch. I've been nuthin but SKUNKED here EVERY SINGLE TIME. 😭 Keep the vidz comin my friend...lovin the content. Peace ✌😎
Looks like the answer is no for now. Just got word that most spots if they thaw out in time will need time to do repairs caused by the excessive snow. Lookin like two weeks after the scheduled opener is what most are shooting for
Great video brother!! I have adopted your technique.. one bait and wait and one jig or drop shot. I just need to tie some drop shots ahead of time like you do. Thanks for all the tips. Hope to see you out there one day.
@@SeaSpankerOutdoors thank you for your reply! Do you use those as leaders or is your entire spool those 5lb and 4lb test lines? Love you content btw, you do such a great job with the content and editing.
@@CABravesFan the 5lb RUNCL for my bait and weight rods I run straight without a leader. The iron feather braid I use a 5’ leader of 5lb RUNCL fluoro attached with a double uni knot 🤘
Id say at this point about 50% of my jigs/spoons are barbless but you dont have to use barbless hooks to have clean releases. I’ve successfully released tons of trout using barbed single hooks.
Just wanted to say I caught my PB rainbiw last Friday using the spring loaded rod holders you sent me a link to. 6.74 lbs and 26.5 inches. Love the videos man
Thank you for all the info you always provide knowledge for different lakes
Ive got alot more coming. Just gotta get these fish to cooperate lately haha
@11:22 where you're using the pink and white custom jig, was that a floating gig or did you just let it lay on the bottom of the sand?

Mid week is much nicer as you are free to move around and find them.
Hey Rob,,,, another great video. Thanks for the great content. Are you heading up to the Loop for opening weekend?

Right on Mike!
What lbs test line do you use at the mud hole?
I use 5lb RUNCL fluoro for bait and wait and 4lb phenix iron feather braid for mini jigs and dropshot

Great video as usual. I know you do a lot of catch & release. Do you remove the barb off your jigs, minnows, etc ?

What’s the name of the rod holder/ hook setter?
I got them on Amazon, here is the link LULUME Stainless Steel Rod Stand... www.amazon.com/dp/B07TWVL23J?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Great video Rob. What bait and wait setup would you recommend for a rocky bottom alpine lake where the drop shot is not feasible due to snags?
You can usually get away with a basic carolina rig even in rocky areas. If its too rocky for that use a basic bobber set up or a slipbobber.
Good job men nice fishing 🎣
Santa Ana River lake dude u need to come to the PNW and do some fishing here you will love it trust me hahaha

Love your videos! Thanks for your time and effort in making these! What are your favorite spots to fish at SARL?
Thank you 🙏. Probably my two favorite spots are the east end of the pond and around the bubble hole 🤘
i think this thursday is last trout stock, if so it was a pretty good sarl trout season
Yeah sad to see the season end but now we turn our attention to the Sierras 🤘
No net…. I said “No Net God dang it”!
😂
Cachuma derby update, winning trout 6lb, winning bass 2lb, winning crappie 2+,the lake is super high 62degree beautiful but so much bait hard 2gtbt
Right on, thanks for the intel 🤘
Give it a week then camp windy had a bin jump off on rapalla shadrap
Rolled all morning thanks for a pulling fish reel screamer sound I sucked
Man last time I was there I got skunked, nothing wanted to bite
SARL can be a difficult spot for sure. Ive had my fair share of skunk days there this season 😝
