Flying into the storm: The Alpine hail bomber

In Austria, a man fights the forces of nature: the so called “hail-bomber” Walter Golob. With his plane he flies directly into thunder clouds and sprays silver iodide, so that the hail goes down as rain instead. Like this, he protects the wine and fruit farmers’ harvest.
