Our family lived in mokokchung for around 40 years or so. We're from rajsthan. We left mokokchung in 2013. I used to live near central church near KG school and also study there. Its bean so many years since i left that place but the connection is still so intact that i cant forget the days amd frns i made there which btw are still in touch with me.
Now I'm a engineer sitting in my office crowded by buildings remembering those days when we used to roam around here amd there during diwali, cristmas and new year time. Hoping to visit mokokchung soon and also to meet with you brother. Keep doing this. Love from Rajsthan and Delhi

Mokokchung is the place where my lovely old memories lie because i have spent two wonderful years with some wonderful Ao friends. Your vlog took me back to those days which I love to miss through out my life.
I REALLY wanted to see how mokokchung is these days because I haven't been there for years.. Our family used to visit it every chirstmas when our grandparents were alive. 💗

The first church in Nagaland is actually in Molungyimsen Village. It was established in 1872 I think, if I'm not mistaken. They were the first village among the Aos to accept Christianity. Impur is more of a headquarters or mission centre established by Rev Clark and his wife later on from where he could properly spread the gospel to the other Ao villages, since Impur is geographically located in the heart of Ao area. The architecture of the church similar to the eighteen and nineteen century American architecture. Sure they brought their aesthetic with them. It looks like a settings of wild wild west.

why did that local female i met pay my food bill? I"m an international tourist..i pay at least my bill glady. I was able to take her shopping , thank God! Stayed at whispering winds, fantastic local food they had in their restaurant and yes will be back again gladly! Do let me know if there is a gospel festival or something comming up..i'd like to take part in this gospel crusade..do let me know much much in advance so i can visit from the Artic Freeze a real long long way away, needs planning. Local shopping and food was amazing..bought me a Dakes Bible at that helpful shop on the town Square too.

Yess, Mokokchung has verry tasty, mouth watering cuisine , one can eat n eat n eat. The hotel i stayed at called: Whispering...something had a comfy stay, verry tasty food, helpful staff, they even arranged my car at short notice. Mokokchung has a great wee Bible book shop in the town square, i was delighted to be able to even buy a Dakes Bible..the sales girl even stored our stuff for us while we shoped n dinned, how kind! Yess buy those local yummy smoked meats,smoked fish as well.
