I can't even describe how much I love Turkey, Turkish people, Turkish culture and history. It was my first foreign country I visited in my childhood and I remember how I was impressed! Such a beautiful country! And 4 years ago I visited Turkey with my husband and son. One thing in turkey made me love it's people forever. Their endless and unconditional love to children. My son got a loooot of attention and when we came back to Moscow, he seemed to be depressed because nobody was smiling to him. I miss Turkey and wish to come again but now with my husband, son and little daughter ❤ in sha Allah
And yet in Canada the young children are taught at daycare/school, that THEY are killing the planet..... 🤣🤣 Pretty negative (and soul-killing), wouldn't you think......🤣🤣🤣😱
I agree. The biggest richness of the people of Türkiye is the smile at their face 😊 You are always welcome to Türkiye. As a Turk, Moscow is the first place I visited. It's interesting to live in Moscow now after Türkiye for me.
Anatolia's (falsely called Turkey) history is essentially all but Turk(ish). Turkey has always been Greek/European and West Asian. Turks are late medieval invaders to Anatolia.
My god that place is spectacular. My ancestors were living in Mud and stone in the fifth century. It is great to see the rich history of humans around the world.
I'm a British Turk born in Istanbul yet I've never been to Cappadocia but I've always wanted to. There are too many distractions especially when you have family there. I'm definately going to go I'm determined. It was lovely seeing you take your mum there and I see you had a great time. It's an amazing place! I do photography and its definately a good location for that... Lots of love
It's funny to see this now. Michael Palin's series exploring eastern Europe included a trip to this area - and the Beeb put the series out a few weeks ago. He took a trip to this area and met a German guy living there with his Turkish wife. That was probably 20 years ago - but I wonder what has happened to them.
I wish I would have traveled more when I was younger. After watching videos on this new technology, I see I really missed out. It would be awesome for every child in every country to visit the world and the different cultures. I pray for the Turkish people after the earthquake. Thank you, Eli, for sharing your travels.
It is so nice of you take your mom to a holiday in her birthday. I still remember your late father ( rest in peace ) when you were visiting his Tatar village. Just know that your mom is Tatar too. I hope she enjoys her holiday in my country.
It feels like we know Eli's dad - I remember her visiting him somewhere outside Perm - sorry to hear he has died. I don't recall seeing her mother before - but it's obvious where Eli got her hair colour from!
When the Emperor Constantine split the Roman Empire in two, he moved to a city called then New Rome. That name was changed to Constantinople, and later Istanbul. He himself chose to live in Turkey because he had spent time there as a Legionnaire and had fallen in love with Cappacocia. He said the best horses came from there.
This was one of the most beautiful videos I have watched. I have been to Cappadocia but was too nervous to go in a balloon. Thank you Eli for reviving my memories and taking me to places I couldn't go!
your energy makes the video complete Eli...I like your smile and your lovely eyes...Thank you for all positive vibes...In Turkey you are not a foreigner, Turkey belongs to all Turks in the world !bir tugan(dogan)
Our beautiful, gentle friend has produced another pleasant surprise by introducing this Cappadocia village from a different angle. Our experiences as we follow precious Eli will only be richer. There are no words for true spiritual gratitude.
A music video that captures the soul of Goreme countryside, is "Kipur", by the ensemble Light in Babylon. Though I haven't been back there for nearly a decade, "Kipur" and your video here, keep the memories vibrant for me!
Oh Eli, I love meeting the people of all these places with you. It is wonderful to see that people are the same all over. Such wonderful people. BUT when you introduced your mom and kissed her cheek and did that little happy dance I had tears spring to my eyes. Such beauty and wisdom. Yes, family is so important. Much love to you from Oswego NY.
Excellent video, scenery and commentary, so nice for family and to see you and your mother enjoying yourselves. I feel sure she had a great birthday holiday.
I cannot believe that they demonetized this episode, the video was amazing, your Mom is beautiful, and I loved learning more about Cappadocia and ballooning.
Amazing. Spectacular ! I've always wanted to go there. Unique. It's like a movie set in a science fiction movie. So sweet to bring your mama with you. С днем рождения, мама Бакунова !
Very cool! I loved this place! My wife and I rented an ATV to explore and were chased down valley by a pack of feral dogs. Very exciting. I think I also rode that same horse! Beautiful
You are full of surprises, Eli. We never know where you are going to take us next! What an amazing part of the world. And again the people are always kind and welcoming. I was amused by the fact that though those stone homes look ancient, they provide modern conveniences like WiFi! (In America we would call the parallel grooves in the walls "corrugated.") Art is always unique and beauriful no matter where you go. Who would know they have a hot air balloon convention there? Those overhead drone shots of the hot air balloons were amazing! Nice to see your mom!! She raised a terrific daughter. Always love your comments at the end.
Eli, this travel adventure was so much fun, especially for me, the master pottery maker, and it was so nice seeing your Mom and watching you two together. Thanks again, much appreciated.
Eli, l really admire your open embrace of life and living. Your pure heart towards people is a shining light. Big love from Australia. Please come back soon.
Thank you Eli for another incredible journey, it was great to see such a unique place in Turkey up close and personal with you, and lovely meeting your mum we can see she had a wonderful birthday. Bless you, looking forward to the next post.
Another well made, captivating video. That looks like such a fun and exciting trip. The people were so kind and hospitable and the landscape is so unique and one of a kind. The balloon ride was very cool. Pottery making too. And you got me again girl. You have a way of putting a tear in my eye every now and then. Love to see you with your Mom. ⚘looks like you had a memorable time together. Family 🎉

Great video, Eli.I promised my wife 25 years ago to take her to Cappadocia, and I kept that promise by visiting this incredible place just before the covid pandemic started.Watching your video definitely brings good memories and pleased your Mum enjoyed her visit to Cappadocia as much as you did. Many thanks and I will continue watching your pleasant and educational vlogs as before.
For anyone who can't afford Gorame, You ca also stay in Urgup which is relatively nearby and cheaper than Gorame...I stayed there and loved the al-fresco cafes and bar's, when I was there at the end of the summer, a few years ago! You can take a bus or taxi to Gorame if you want to hire the ATV or hot air balloon or see one of the amazing shows!! Its such a great place to visit!!
