I just bought the English version through your link. I am from UK and currently have Fitbit Charge 2 and was going to upgrade to Fitbit İonic. However, after I seen your video and the watch I changed my mind. The watch looks amazing classy and I prefer circle. Hopefully I won't regret my decision as never heard of this brand before. Hi, after 2 years with Stratos 2, I would like to share my experience this way. Yes, I like the look of the watch and the display, GPS features (Trackrecording, speed, distance etc.) and HR monitoring. To put it in a nutshell: HR doesn't work at all after 20 months, before with drop-outs and false values. Operating modus changed - let us say - once a week. For example: I very often use the "Trail" modus. One day, you get there with 2 clicks, the other day searching with about 10 clicks, next day it takes 5 minutes and you find it by chance, or you leave it alone, waiting for next week and it will be fine again. At present, I try to find the reset button, hoping this will fix the HR blackout. No chance. My display is quite different from that of the others, after clicking the menue buttons. I expect that such a device will last longer than 24 months, when guarantee is just running out.
Oh, that's very sad to read and I am so sorry yours failed. There doesn't seem to be a reset button. You may try some more factory resets but that likely won't help much.
I like the price range, the watch style and the battery life. Bought some screen protectors just in case. Don't like strap. Trying to get a wooden watch strap for this watch.
Wow, looks like the strap is a hit or miss. I like it a lot, but I have noticed that people are polarized - they either like it a lot, or dislike it big time :-) Perhaps very soon there will be plenty of options. And of course, it uses standard size which makes it easy to choose a random brand.

latest firmware update makes my Pace operate just like Stratos. 2 months of use and I also have Fenix 3 HR, and i testify it is poor man's Garmin Fenixes, and at certain area beat the Garmin.

No one wants to hear music. Just your voice. Don't try and compete with other TH-camrs by trying to sound hip. Just provide honest info and scrap the annoying music.
THE BEST SMART WATCH which can last you for a week without charging. big screen but look awsome even with my small wrist (other watch with this size of watch face all look terrible on my wrist except this one i guess the thickness is just perfect somehow to balance it all) i am wearing it every day with continue hr on. much much better than my wife's apple watch 3 which has terrible battery life and HR for apple watch is usless as you have to recharge again in the morning if HR is on for sleep track. only down side is you can not answer calls directly(apple watch can). but who cares, its main purpose is well served. and i love it.
FOr new buyers, be aware that the HR sensor glass becomes loose under a lot of heat, (the glue becomes soft and the glass falls off) then sweat enters through. THe HR sensor shorts out and the battery drains. SO when you buy it, make sure to add some sealant glue on the edges of the HR sensor glass. Amazfit won't repair the watch. If your are still under warranty, they will give you a new watch.

Hi Rosako, just to confirm that even after such a long time this is the watch I wear every day :-) Last time I've tried the continuous heartrate it managed to provide 4-5 days battery life.

I don't think it is that bad. Google has just redesigned a lot around wear os, and there are many reasons to do that. Looking forward to the new devices based on it :-) In fact what it runs is a very customized version of wearOS. The hardware inside is not too powerful though, therefore they have decided to limit the app support.
Mmmm! That is awesome price. Knowing that the hardware is similar to the Amazfit Pace, it may go even lower at some point. Do you mind posting a link? Maybe others would like to order too.
Hey, thanks a lot for the kind words! Likely the Chinese version will be the more affordable choice. And the customized ROM is based on the stock, and is stable enough. It was just yesterday that I start to notice minor lag, which was caused by a few things working together. But there is a task manager and you can quickly fix that :D These are early builds and in time it will get only better. So yeah - I believe you can order the Chinese version and use it. Likely the more important choice will e 2 or 2s - the S-model has Sapphire and leather strap too.
Now I'm sad. Just bought a watch gt before I came across this channel n watched this video. Would definitely choose this over GT as it got better functions ☹️ Anyway I liked your reviews n videos, it's clear n precised. Keep up the good work, n yes I've subscribed. Woohoo~
Hey Alex - do not be sad - the Watch GT is more stylish, and is currently the most popular smartwatch - and there are plenty of reasons to be. You have an awesome device.
Features that I want : GPS tracking road for hiking high mountains, altitude, temperature, km walked, long battery life for long trek : all to survive in mountains for a week minimum !

Oh, it is suitable for hiking! But the battery won't last for a week if GPS is used. I am working on some comparison videos right now. Trying to find a good time slot for those. As for the Amazfit 1 - it really isn't that different, and there are plenty of reviews of both side by side already.
You are not wrong about Wear OS - there is luckily NO wear OS. Last two weeks I was testing another wear-OS based device and ... The only really useful feature of wearos is the Google Maps integration. It is slow, laggy, with not too great navigation and horrible battery life. In that sense - having no wearOS here is an advantage in my opinion. And sports functions are way better than on most of WearOS devices. There are of course some features that are missing - no keyboard, no google maps, no mic, no phone calls possibility.
Please do the video how to transform this into English ROM...If it easy I will immediately buy from your affiliate link. BTW Great Video Review.......Looks like another famous reviewer doesn't bother to mention this as he is too busy playing with too much product.
The main drawbacks with these brands is the inaccuracy of the heart rate monitor. If I am buying a fitness watch with HRM, I want it to be as accurate as it comes especially when working out.

I believe that both watches are designed for different kind of usage: the Amazfit is clearly more sporty, while the Gear S3 is on the Android Wear side. After having used transflective display, I cannot imagine using any other kind of display for a watch.
You are correct. And on 3:48 I have played the info-bar indicating this. ANd that is noted in the description, as well as on our website. In fact I also was unaware about this at the very beginning. Overall even the tempered glass is quite scratch resistant - my usage type is quite intensive.

I purchased the Amazfit Stratos from Amazfit a little over a year ago. I have used the Amazfit Stratos on a daily basis since purchase. Then, a week or two before the one year anniversary of my ownership of the watch, the watch malfunctioned and hte HR monitor light stopped working properly. Instead of blinking, the light stayed on. The result: IT BURNED MY ARM. That's right, the HR monitor light malfunctioned and burned me. I emailed Amazfit and raised the issue with them. I responded to all of their inquiries and instead of responding with any suggestions for a reimbursement or a fix, what has happened? I HAVE BEEN IGNORED. That's right, after first asking me a few questions, Amazfit's customer service/support has now been ignoring me for over a week. If they had good customer service, I would not be writing this. If there was no risk of the watch malfunctioning on you and the company doing nothing to make amends, I wouldn't be writing this. However, I would STRONGLY recommend not to purchase anything from this company. They do not take serious customer concerns into account, they ignore you. If this company was Apple or Google or Microsoft, they would have responded immediately. Indeed, when I used FitBit they replaced my watch the first two times it malfunctioned within 1.5 years of ownership. DO NOT BUY, that is all I can say. I truly hope the company sees this comment and does something to make amends with me. It is seriously concerning that Amazfit simply ignores potential risks of serious injuries to its loyal customers.

Yes, you are right. This is why I have posted this flyer saying that the 2S has Sapphire. When I was recording the voice, I was in fact unaware about the sapphire vs tempered glass and that's why at the end it remained with only the note on 3:50 :-) Thank you very much for highlighting this - I am always trying to make my videos as accurate as possible and am sorry if that brought misunderstanding. And your English is excellent! :-)
tech4all thanks and don't be worry, your video is a very good one ! So, i have the amazfit pace more than six month and i'm very happy with it. I'm interested by the stratos 2+ but only if the price down....the top, will be a third version with a full round, more translate language and a good magnetic charger or induction charge. A watch like this, under 200$, Samsung and apple could be afraid ;)
If you have the Pace, then better wait for the next gen :-) The Stratos is the Pace in a newer design, but feature-wise they are quite similar. I hope Xiaomi is already working on a newer model.
I Got one of these and within 4 months the top button sticks, sending it into a loop. contacted the supplier and i am asked to get repaired myself and they will cover costs and after end warranty. so no real warranty at all !

A camera in the watch? I believe they didn't include one mostly because they want to keep a lower price. And overall - a camera in a watch may not be as good as one in a smartphone because of the processing power.
You are right! Let me share this now, almost 18 months later; heart rate accuracy is very good! The step counter as well. This is the watch on my wrist as I write this answer and is still my absolute favorite.

Yoo man, how are you doing :)? Thanks a lot for the kind words! Today I finally received the preordered Mavic air, and it still thinks it is in China (which is equal to FCC mode). And There is no longer cancel button, but choosing the back button keeps the FCC mode on. And it is the latest version of the DJI Go app. So yeah - the hack works. There is even an easier version that I will post for the mavic air - just using the Fake GPS app - it will be good enough. The latest version of the DJI go app brings some goodies, but is much heavier than what I remember from 4.1.8. And at the end - I thought you are using an iPhone. Did you switch to something else or I got it wrong somewhere?

It was right about time to get more, and I am sure that you will very quickly gain popularity. All of your videos are professional and your production is up to par with many trendy channels! You know that if there is something I may do to help you - consider it done. For the app. Errrr - this is a fight I have in myself. I don't like to update apps, but I had to, because the older DJI Go 4 is unaware of the existence of the Air. But since you have an iPhone - go for the latest one. DJI software works much better on iOS and is much better optimized. And most of the people with iPhone usually say the FCC mode works fine with latest versions :-)

Flying in cold weather is also good :-) I wish there was some snow here. Everything is just grey and brown and far away from being cinematic. Fingers crossed it all to work! :-) No other way!
If you drive in your car does it count as steps? Does it knows when you walk or when you drive? I use a weloop 3s, really love it mainly for swimming but when driving about 20km it counts around 3000 steps.
Yeah, I am planning to try a Zeblaze. But I am quite sure that they are different. This one has transflective display - a huge advantage. And has a well polished OS. Zeblaze often rely on heavily modified uncertified Android, which is not that cool.
Nice presentation 👌. Can this watch support track following? If there is GPS I assume maybe it can. You put track inside and see if you are on track. Or to record new track when you walking
You might be able to, but even if you do - there won't be much of use, as there is no software keyboard. If you are looking for a device with google Maps support - check TicWatch devices.
I don't know - it is hard nowadays to distinguish truthful from non-truthful statements... Mine is already 15 months old, still has the same kind of battery life.

The Verge seems to have some newer functions, which probably the sensors of the Stratos cannot handle.

Ruske It’s perfectly fine to swim in, it is completely waterproof 5m. As long as your not deep diving you’re fine.

I don't think it is that bad. Google has just redesigned a lot around wear os, and there are many reasons to do that. Looking forward to the new devices based on it :-)
In fact what it runs is a very customized version of wearOS. The hardware inside is not too powerful though, therefore they have decided to limit the app support.

Likely the Chinese version will be the more affordable choice. And the customized ROM is based on the stock, and is stable enough.
It was just yesterday that I start to notice minor lag, which was caused by a few things working together. But there is a task manager and you can quickly fix that :D
These are early builds and in time it will get only better. So yeah - I believe you can order the Chinese version and use it. Likely the more important choice will e 2 or 2s - the S-model has Sapphire and leather strap too.

I believe the Garmin Fenix 5 will match what you are looking for. Unfortunately it is much more expensive :(

Oh, it is suitable for hiking! But the battery won't last for a week if GPS is used.

So it's not actually a smart watch, it's really just a nice fitness tracker. Unless i missed it, I didn't see the Wear OS menu. Am I wrong?
You are not wrong about Wear OS - there is luckily NO wear OS. Last two weeks I was testing another wear-OS based device and ... The only really useful feature of wearos is the Google Maps integration. It is slow, laggy, with not too great navigation and horrible battery life. In that sense - having no wearOS here is an advantage in my opinion. And sports functions are way better than on most of WearOS devices.
There are of course some features that are missing - no keyboard, no google maps, no mic, no phone calls possibility.
What's the os on this watch, I think I missed it somewhere in the video.
Please do the video how to transform this into English ROM...If it easy I will immediately buy from your affiliate link. BTW Great Video Review.......Looks like another famous reviewer doesn't bother to mention this as he is too busy playing with too much product.

The main drawbacks with these brands is the inaccuracy of the heart rate monitor. If I am buying a fitness watch with HRM, I want it to be as accurate as it comes especially when working out.
The only way to have absolutely right heartrate measurement is to use a chest monitor connected via bluetooth.

In comparison with gear s3, what you think? I bought the s3 but thinking of returning and getting this one but no Android wear is a let down for me. Tizen and Samsung better than this proprietary Chinese software I guess? but this one has VO2Max which is a great advantage! what you think?

I believe that both watches are designed for different kind of usage: the Amazfit is clearly more sporty, while the Gear S3 is on the Android Wear side.
After having used transflective display, I cannot imagine using any other kind of display for a watch.
The glass on top is actually NOT saphire... you're reviewing an Amazfit 2, not 2S ;)
You are correct. And on 3:48 I have played the info-bar indicating this. ANd that is noted in the description, as well as on our website. In fact I also was unaware about this at the very beginning. Overall even the tempered glass is quite scratch resistant - my usage type is quite intensive.

This one is definitely laggy, especially if you compare to new models. But most of the times that's fine.
I purchased the Amazfit Stratos from Amazfit a little over a year ago. I have used the Amazfit Stratos on a daily basis since purchase. Then, a week or two before the one year anniversary of my ownership of the watch, the watch malfunctioned and hte HR monitor light stopped working properly. Instead of blinking, the light stayed on. The result: IT BURNED MY ARM. That's right, the HR monitor light malfunctioned and burned me. I emailed Amazfit and raised the issue with them. I responded to all of their inquiries and instead of responding with any suggestions for a reimbursement or a fix, what has happened? I HAVE BEEN IGNORED. That's right, after first asking me a few questions, Amazfit's customer service/support has now been ignoring me for over a week. If they had good customer service, I would not be writing this. If there was no risk of the watch malfunctioning on you and the company doing nothing to make amends, I wouldn't be writing this. However, I would STRONGLY recommend not to purchase anything from this company. They do not take serious customer concerns into account, they ignore you. If this company was Apple or Google or Microsoft, they would have responded immediately. Indeed, when I used FitBit they replaced my watch the first two times it malfunctioned within 1.5 years of ownership. DO NOT BUY, that is all I can say. I truly hope the company sees this comment and does something to make amends with me. It is seriously concerning that Amazfit simply ignores potential risks of serious injuries to its loyal customers.
This is certainly a story that can make us worried. Probably you may consult with a lawyer and demand an official statement at least.

Yes, you are right. This is why I have posted this flyer saying that the 2S has Sapphire. When I was recording the voice, I was in fact unaware about the sapphire vs tempered glass and that's why at the end it remained with only the note on 3:50 :-)

tech4all thanks and don't be worry, your video is a very good one ! So, i have the amazfit pace more than six month and i'm very happy with it. I'm interested by the stratos 2+ but only if the price down....the top, will be a third version with a full round, more translate language and a good magnetic charger or induction charge. A watch like this, under 200$, Samsung and apple could be afraid ;)
If you have the Pace, then better wait for the next gen :-) The Stratos is the Pace in a newer design, but feature-wise they are quite similar. I hope Xiaomi is already working on a newer model.
I Got one of these and within 4 months the top button sticks, sending it into a loop. contacted the supplier and i am asked to get repaired myself and they will cover costs and after end warranty. so no real warranty at all !

A camera in the watch? I believe they didn't include one mostly because they want to keep a lower price. And overall - a camera in a watch may not be as good as one in a smartphone because of the processing power.

You are right! Let me share this now, almost 18 months later; heart rate accuracy is very good! The step counter as well. This is the watch on my wrist as I write this answer and is still my absolute favorite.

Today I finally received the preordered Mavic air, and it still thinks it is in China (which is equal to FCC mode). And There is no longer cancel button, but choosing the back button keeps the FCC mode on. And it is the latest version of the DJI Go app.
So yeah - the hack works. There is even an easier version that I will post for the mavic air - just using the Fake GPS app - it will be good enough.
The latest version of the DJI go app brings some goodies, but is much heavier than what I remember from 4.1.8.
And at the end - I thought you are using an iPhone. Did you switch to something else or I got it wrong somewhere?

For the app. Errrr - this is a fight I have in myself. I don't like to update apps, but I had to, because the older DJI Go 4 is unaware of the existence of the Air.
But since you have an iPhone - go for the latest one. DJI software works much better on iOS and is much better optimized. And most of the people with iPhone usually say the FCC mode works fine with latest versions :-)

If you drive in your car does it count as steps? Does it knows when you walk or when you drive? I use a weloop 3s, really love it mainly for swimming but when driving about 20km it counts around 3000 steps.
It doesn't count steps when I am driving.

Yeah, I am planning to try a Zeblaze.
But I am quite sure that they are different. This one has transflective display - a huge advantage. And has a well polished OS. Zeblaze often rely on heavily modified uncertified Android, which is not that cool.

Yes, you can prepare GPX based routes and run them - this is quite useful for hiking, biking and so on. So yeah - at least that is supported 😎👍

Had my Stratos 2 6 months and now it’s packed up, won’t take a charge any more . Just totally dead and no way of fixing myself,, not happy

You might be able to, but even if you do - there won't be much of use, as there is no software keyboard. If you are looking for a device with google Maps support - check TicWatch devices.
