Them talking about horror movies should be a mini segment or something. This and James ripping on the Jeepers Creepers reboot (please don’t watch that) are some of my favorite non-wrestling bits they’ve done.
Wait, are we talking about early 2000s Kane when he was doing Hulk Hogan and Rock impressions backstage? Because that Kane was based and Halloween Ends would've been so much better if Michael was like that Kane.
@@baigmen Ooh god, that's the worst Kane (apart from Politician Kane that everyone had to suffer through, but at least that let people see him get bodied on Twitter by Hangman Page)
I agree with Pulse 100% this movie killed Michael Myers as a character. Also agree Terrifier 2 and Terrifier for that matter is a better movie. I laughed more than anything for Halloween Ends. Also this is one of my favorite bits from the show. I would love to make a sync of it.
I'd throw the Texas Chainsaw Massacre series in there as well. Every time we get a promising movie it's immediately followed by a horrible sequel/prequel.
Two or three years prior, Michael murdered 25 people and disappeared. And not only is Lori living a suburban life, but the entire town is normal? I liked the ending, in part because of the Carpenter score. Rest sucked.
Another good moment is episode 184 when the boys talk about jay bradley getting picked over brain cage in tna gut check it starts at 1hr 42 minutes into the pod
I was thinking about this movie and all I have to say is the parents at the beginning was asking for thier kid to die falling off that 30 foot stairwell in thier house, how did you not see something like that happening.
The first reboot movie (Halloween 2015?) is still one of my favorite horror movies in recent years. It has the same problem as H20 too though. They just had to continue it. Couldn't figure out a standalone story or something that has nothing to do with Laurie. I'll stand by that first one thought.
IMO the good Halloween movies are the original Halloween (the only legit great one), Season of the Witch, Halloween 4 (shout out to Danielle Harris as Jamie Lloyd), and H20.
I love the entire Halloween franchise. It's my favorite slasher series. Halloween 3 is very influential and meaningful to me and one of the best sequels ever and I'll die on that hill. This movie... *Sucks.* It's bad. It's so bad. And I'm going to say this next part and I want you to realize the depths of this statement I'm about to make. Halloween Ends is the worst movie in the series and it's not even a fucking contest. Halloween 5 may be technically worse on a production level and so full of tonal whiplash it's more like a tonal car crash, but it's fun to watch, dumb as shit, and a blast to laugh at with friends. 6 is incredibly flawed but the Producer's Cut showed there were good ideas hidden under the surface. Resurrection is a fucking mess but it's also absolutely so bad it's good, and Busta Rhymes going "Trick or treat, motherfucker!" and kung-fu kicking Michael Myers is goddamn funny, I don't give a shit. Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 is a goddamn miserable film and one of the most cynical things I've ever seen but I appreciate Rob's ambition and the fact he DIDN'T do a straight Halloween II remake, I love how brutal it is and how it works as a deconstruction of slasher sequels, which it feels like Ends was *supposed* to be, but ended up being... Whatever the hell this was. All of those movies aren't good. Ends is outright fucking awful. Even if those movies aren't good, none of them are out-and-out character assassination like Halloween Ends is. The bizarre decision to go from Halloween Kills, which ends on a hell of a cliffhanger with major characters dead and it feeling like everyone who's left is about to go on a rampage after Michael to avenge their loved ones... And then they time skip and it's like none of that trauma happened. Allyson goes from a strong character in 2018 and Kills to a complete failure of writing, somehow going from smart, savvy, quick-on-her-feet, able to outsmart Michael Myers, to a complete bumbling idiot who can't realize what Corey is until it's too late and doesn't grow until it's too late and nothing matters. Michael is reduced to a fucking useless old man and we're left with *Corey.* What a fuckin' waste.
I HATED this movie and thought it was the worst one when I first watched it, but then I remembered Resurrection (Also I like Season of the Witch, sue me)
Halloween is my favorite movie franchise. Michael was always the scariest slasher to me. This movie RUINED Michael Myers. Yeah there were bad movies but HOLY FUCKING SHIT AT LEAST THEY TREATED MICHAEL SOMEWHAT SERIOUS INSTEAD OF A JOKE. God dude, I'd rather watch Resurrection
The Friday movies werent masterpieces most the time. But it usually understood the assignment of campy horror movie. So you'd grade it on a curb. Because it was mostly the same basic premise with some stuff added or taken away with each movie. Holloween had a unbelievably good start, pretty damn great second movie & then they lost their minds. Making a holloween movie, but trying to make it about spooky holloween stories was retarded as fudge! Then they brought Michael back & absolutely bastardized him with horrible writing & story tropes. Jason was kinda always billed as a demon who came back from the dead. Michael was ambiguous in what he really was. Plus every movie after the second one was legitimately awful.
Evil dies tonight, or maybe it doesn't, brother

You totally should make a sync of this with clips of Halloween Ends, man.

Actually 52 minutes
3 Halloween movies that are good according to James:
1. Halloween '78
2. Halloween '18
3. Halloween H20?
I thought he meant 1 2 and H20 unless he’s said he doesn’t like 2
I got agree with James. Shit was so bad 😂
Pro wrestling and they they talk about horror? These guys just keep getting better
At least kills had the firefighter scene
Michael being basically John Wick in Kills is the best part of that movie

That movie at least treats Micheal like Micheal.
