If you want to travel long distances you should drive fast and enjoy the driving. Going long distances by driving at 60 km speed and crossing frequent speedbrakers will defeat the purpose. If one wants to save money, they can catch a bus or train. Convenience and comfort come with a cost not free of cost. Driving is a pleasure that too long distances. Encourage your viewers to pay some toll and enjoy driving on a broad and better roads.
A litre of petrol costs Rs. 103. If you avoid Kaniyir toll to save Rs. 115 and travel via Kovilpalayam with so many speed breakers and extra 25 kms, you will loose morethan Rs. 115. If you really wants to care about your vehicle, want to avoid frequent gear changes , better go via Salem , Villupuram. It all depends on your destination. If you want to go in and around OMR/ECR it better to go via Salem, Ulundurpet, Cheglepet. If you want to go to western Chennai better to take Salem, Omalur, Ranipet, Sriperumpudur. The other route to avoid toll upto Dharmapuri is via Sathiamangalam, Anthiyur, Mettur, Dharmapuri. I had been to Chennai from Coimbatore by car few times. I feel it is better to take Salem, Ulundurpet, Thambaram or Chenglepet to reach places around OMR. We should not bother much about toll. We have to take care of the vehicle, driving pleasure, comfort, travel time, mileage also. Passion to drive decides everything.
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback, purpose of this video is for the people who think to Skip Toll Gate. Road Conditions in the route we mentioned is not bad and no extra distance as well.
Avoiding tollgate is not a good practice.if they can't afford to pay tollgate charges better they can travel by two wheeler. People wants smooth and fast ride and reduce travellling time. But they will not pay toll charges .Everything people wanted to have free of cost with out spending money.another suggestion is if they walk by eating pea nuts to the destination they need not pay any thing to any body. But they can't get peanuts (வேர்க்கடலை)at free of cost.(ஓசியில் கிடைக்காது)
if you see the video completely you will understand we are not skipping toll gate after using the road, we said instead of using toll road we also also take state highways as alternate and do some savings. I agree for pleasant drive toll road is better one, but as a common man many wanted to know the benefit what if we skip, thats the motive for this content.
Please upload point to point travel videos of different cities on good and wide roads to enjoy the driving.
