The one thing that cracked me up wasn't a dog but when the guy was giving his dog some ice cream and he said "Just the front teeth" and his friend said "that's what she said!!".
Neighbor behind me has two large dogs that like to bark a lot! Neighbor beside him has a medium sized dog who barks when the big dogs bark Neighbor 2 doors down has a Chihuahua. What can I say? It's a Chihuahua. He has to bark longer and louder than these three dogs put together. My Tashi and her bestie Dora want to put their 75 cents worth in also. (Both are part Chihuahua!) I had enough. I decided to see what happens if I bark. I let loose with my version of doggie swear words. Tashi and Dora stopped, cocked their heads back and forth, then fled my room. After laughing a couple of minutes I realized all the dogs outside were quiet too. Seriously. Not a peep. After a couple of minutes the outside bunch started barking again. So I started barking. They got quiet. The next time they barked, I heard someone else inside their house somewhere nearby start barking. Dogs stopped barking. I laughed so hard I wet myself!
Dachshunds, smooth brained? Obvious you've never owned one of the little smarties. Don't know which is biggest in him. His intelligence or his instincts. He can pick the creep out of a crowd and then loudly back them right out the door they just came in. His smarts leave me in awe. Yes, comical and goofy as the day is long but eerily intelligent. Spooky smart. And they cuddle like it's the only thing they were bred to do. You poghtta see him in a field with mole activity! Part torpedo, part tank and part auger and awesome to see! I've had a lot of fun learning about dachshunds and hounds in general. Bud's a longhaired who was dumped as a pup and found my front stoop. Been my best Buddy ever since, currently snoozing against my left hip as I sit with my tablet. I am in awe of my sweet and silly friend's fine brain.

Yes, dogs are so funny and you can see when they are kidding you! They give you that look with their eyes shining brightly!! Some even smile!!
