Hi there, the Indian audience! Please calm down with your hate comments and let me clarify one thing. I am not judging India and I do not mean to offend anybody. After creating 10 TH-cam videos about the beauty of India, I decided to create one video about my struggles, so that other travelers can have a better experience than I did. Every country has its positive and negative parts and while traveling, it is very important to focus on the positive parts while being aware of the less positive ones so that the overall experience can be a great one. Thank you all for watching!

Chill guys why hate comments here? She is new to India with the world's highest population. Even every Indian also didn't explore the whole of India. So, don't talk like that with her. She is our guest "Athidi devobhava". she is new to our culture and life. So, let her be honest about her experience, what's wrong with that. She didn't plan the trip. Randomly she went to the places. Next time she can plan. So be positive and welcome people from other countries to India. India is a vast and safe country. So India always welcomes good people from all around the world ☺

OTP while using Uber is just to verify that you've found the right driver. It has got nothing to do with safety. Drivers accept rides based on their willingness to head to the destination and the amount of money they can make out of that ride. You are not in danger if you get into the wrong car.

    • @lelihanalearnings

Secondly don't forget that as soon as OTP is entered that service provider app starts monitoring the vehicle for passengers safety. If driver goes off the track immediately app provider calls to check the reason and the status

Another thing, if you walk around with a camera people will look at you, so giving people a reason to look at you and complain about people looking at you it isn't exactly a nice thing to do. @@Malinasvibe ma'am I will tell you something I am from Kolkata WB India and something big happened here in terms of women's safety and I accept that cleanliness is a big problem here but other things you have complained about in your this video is too much. Your card problem is on you I think. If you get a sim and use it in India then you will know about why we don't use WiFi jio offer us free internet if it's 5g and vi offers us free internet 12.00 am to 6.00 am. But I think the title of your video is too offensive and I think it was put there for attracting views. I am not an inflexible person and that's why I accept there are huge problems in our country but simply exploring 1% of India and writing I am leaving India forever is not a responsible thing to do. And I am not saying that you are just showing the bads of India, I did watch your previous videos and commented on them, you even replied to me and that's why I know that you did also show us goods of India and that's why I am still being respectful towards you. I will tell you something because of our country's huge diversity we guys also have stereotypes about each other especially in terms of state, Indians from other states hold many stereotypes about us bengalis some of them are we huge patriotic people(Bengal's role in India's independence and Subhash Chandra Bose is enough proof),we are faminist,we do black magic,we are Nerds,we are poets,we are a little bit more of a philosopher kinds of people. I wrote these stereotypes because I want you to understand that India is the most diverse country in the world and some of our states are comparable to many of the countries around the world. At last all I can say is change the title of your video and don't ever come back to India if it's too shitty for you then please don't come here I will be very happy to embrace this shitty country of mine all of my life. I know you said in your video that you visited only 3 cities and you faced problems there but then why write I am never coming back to India. As a human with common sense will write that he or she is not coming back to this or that particular city, why not do that, sorry if I offended you but I am a bit Patriotic so please forgive me if I hurt your feelings.

Yours entire 1 month short trip to India is Sorry to say you judge the book too early and too soon just by folding couple of pages and without reading entire book. Yours this video is more propaganda than reality check. Just visiting 2 Cities of Rajasthan State (Jaipur and Udaipur that too spending most of time in Heritage Hotels) and 1 City from Karnataka State ( only 1 day on the streets of Bengaluru) without exploring majority of tourist destinations even in those 3 cities and then judge a 7th largest landmass on earth, Sub Continental Size diverse Country - India, where every 28 States/Provinces and 8 Union Territories have got their own unique landscapes, geographical topography, vegetations, linguistics, dialects, regional cuisines, culture and ethnicity. If yours sponscors hadn't paid you well for yours trip then it's not our fault. If you were looking for cleanliness, then you should have visited these Clean Cities in India - Indore, Mysore, Chandigarh, Bhopal, Surat, Ahmedabad, Shillong, Gangtok, Navi Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Rajkot, Bilaspur, Ambikapur, Raipur, Silvassa, Daman, Diu, Vasco Da Gama, Noida, Gurugram, Thane, Coimbatore, Tiruchirapalli, Kohima, Imphal, Aizawl, Tawang, Itanagar, Faridabad, Mokokchung, Chandanagore and Puducherry. Secondy, English even though spoken and understood through out India yet many folks don't understand nor speak English as they are more comfortable in Speaking their regional mother tongue languages which a vast country like India has got plenty, unlike Romania where more than 94% of yours population speak Romanian Language. You should have hired travel guide who is comfortable in both English and Indian Languages. Regarding Internet is concern, currently majority of Big Metropolitan Cities in India are operating 5G Internet Technology including Bengaluru where you are ending yours Trip. Jaipur and Udaipur are not known for technology hub Cities hence, the speed of internet connection over those cultural heritages cities are 4G. India Ranks 69th In Mobile Internet Speed In World, recorded a median download speed of 50.02 Mbps and a median upload speed of 48.77 Mbps, with a latency of only 6 milliseconds. Very Soon Government of India is launching both 5G and 6G at pan India countrywide optical fibre broadband services. Hence compare to last decade, currently Internet penetration reach out across India has been growing rapidly. Another false and prejudiced comment about India you mentioned is it is not safe country for both men and women. Fact is India is absolutely safe for Solo men but regarding Solo Women traveler is concerning, yes in recent times, some ugly unfortunate incidents have occured in our country yet there are plenty of destinations exist in India where Solo Woman Traveler, Vloggers and Web Content Bloggers can spend their good time without any safety concerns - Pondicherry, Hampi, Ladakh, Gangtok, Lachen, Darjeeling, Lachung, Udupi, Lavasa Lake City, Mahabaleswar, Auli, Coonoor, Ooty, Kodaikannal, Gokarna, Siliguri, Silvassa, Daman, Diu, Munnar, Shillong, Kasol, Mysore, Nainital, Dehradun, Shimla, Coorg, Mcleodganj, Port Blair, Mussoorie, Bhubaneswar, Rishikesh, Bomdila, Tawang, Pasighat, Kohima, Aizawl, Nashik, Naya Raipur, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep Islands, Panchgani, Pachmarhi and Kolhapur. Regarding Cards is concerns, UPI is used in India for cashless Digital Online Money Transaction and very soon Government of India is opening this facility for all foreign travelers in our Country so that tourist won't face any financial related issues. From last year till now and till date, Foreign nationals tourists & travellers in India from exclusive G20 Countries can now make payments using UPI Apps. Unfortunately Romania has got small size economy and not part of G20 Club of Big Economic Powerhouse Countries, therefore you faced the problem while transaction of money in yours UPI Apps. Don't come to India with myopic and prejudiced obseravation with fake narratives. Even India is extremely beautiful with all kinds of Vegetations, Natural Landscapes exist on this Earth along with Prehistoric, Ancient, Medival and Contemporary Historical Heritages and above all Multicultural Synergy and Symbiosis. Finally, to be honest even Romania is not safe for both men and women. There are numerous unfortunate incidents which have occured against both men and women in Romania which I don't want to disucss here however all reports are available on Electronic, Digital, Social Media and Search Engines.

You did some genuine criticism about our country here but not all of them are true. I wish you had remove western lens before visiting our country. Problem with tourists are they only go to those places which are megolopolis, and overcrowded UNESCO world heritage site and missed out on major part of Indian heritage, beauty, culture, traditions, cuisine, like less popular UNESCO world heritage or untagged sites (Ajanta , ellora, Bhimbetka, living temples of Chola dynasty, Ganesh festival), north-east India (Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura), coastal India (Kerala, Goa), Island exploration (Lakshwadweep, Andaman and Nicobar), state specific cuisines etc. While I will admit that there are still places in our country where access to basic daily needs are not yet reached but we are working on it. As of now we have heavily invested in social infrastructure (railway, roadway, waterway, airway, digital infra etc), and in next 7-10 years you will witness a completely differnt India with biggest population transfer to middle class ensuring poverty eradication and access to clean water, electricity, etc across India. Also Indians are very expressive in nature so if they are staring at you doesn't mean they are pervert, it means they are just curious about you as you look different than us and they are not used to see foreigners. We are not rapist or unhygienic people who eat cow shit like they show in media. We are 1.4 billion people, if you compare the crime rate per 1000 population with other countries, you will be surprise to know that many European countries surpasses us. I was very happy to look at your vlogs where you showed positive sides of India but after this video (with which I agree with your majority of points) it is my friendly recommendation to you to put your negative and positive views in a same video. Making a separate one negative video after praising in last 10 videos might appear to someone like you are biased and just wanted to gain subscribers (which I do not think was your intention). As some others comments have also mentioned that their is a lot of prejudice (may be subconsciously because of how media projects us) and I agree with them (eg. that uber OTP thing comparing with security or WiFi situation) Anyway, I really hope you and your friend will give our country one more chance. Thank you for the recommendations as well. I didn’t come with any prejudice in India, but I did have my struggles which I considered sharing. I do not blame India in anyway, not criticize anything. I am not empowered to do so. When posting this video, I really hoped that people would understand that I am not biased to speak negatively about India, since I have said so many positive things in my previous 10 TH-cam. I hope that other travelers can see my struggles and avoid them so that they have a perfect vacation. Unfortunately, it seems that everybody loves to focus on the negative, therefore the negative comments in this section. I strongly believe that there are negative and positive parts in everything and I still believe that we should focus on the positive ones, but also be aware of the negative ones so that we are realistic about a situation.

Because of that, Indians don't use credit cards and debit cards much these days because it's an outdated technology for us. I agree with you that India is not a safe country for female solo travelers. For your info India is like a sub continent with different countries, (for example state of Maharashtra is same size as portugal, and it's GDP is bigger than portugal). What I mean is, every region and states in India will give you different experience and they are at different levels of infrastructure and human development.
Demanding that people should smile and make you welcome all the time seems funny to me, especially when you are in a country of over 1.4 billion people and majority of them has to take care of their on shit. Yes life is hard here, and you can't expect people' other than from tourism or hospitality industry to make u feel comfortable, because rest of the people don't care. Also about English, India has 2700 languages 😂 and English is just a luxury that majority of rural population in India can't afford.
So your overall trip planning and research and expectations were a disaster, so don't blame India, and learn to appreciate how we have overcome a lot of bad history, and is slowly becoming the third biggest economy in the world by 2030, and along the way improving the standard of life of many poor people.
Also regarding SIM cards and internet, again you did a poor research before coming to India.
India offers the cheapest rates of high-speed internet in the world ( as low as 0.2 euro for 1GB of 5g mobile data), and the connectivity is really good through out vast geography of India which is same size as entire EU. Getting a sim card is also not that difficult in airport and you can get one month of unlimited calling and Internet package for as low as 4 euros from airport kisosks.
Sorry for your bad experiences, next time don't visit us without proper research and preparation, because you will end up disappointed again LOL

Thanks for your comment. Let’s be clear on some points: I am not demanding anybody to smile at me, I am only sharing my personal experience. I am not saying that in other country I visited the people are smiling, but I’m saying that in some countries, the majority of people are welcoming and there is a huge difference between India and Indonesia or Vietnam when it comes to this. But in my video, I’m not comparing India with any other country, but rather generically saying that some people are not smiling. I also had 5G on our phones, and I am even talking about this in another TH-cam video from India. In this TH-cam video, I am only sharing the fact that the cafés are not sharing their Wi-Fi as they do in Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Korea Romania etc. I have to make this remarks because some travelers are coming to India not knowing about the Wi-Fi, about the cards, about the transportation system, and my video is a source of research for future travelers. So I don’t consider that I was not prepared for this trip, because in the end I managed to solve all the issues we encountered. I wanted to give a heads up for the newcomers, so that they can have a pleasant experience in your country.

@@Malinasvibe Stating wifi issues is not a problem at all. You are free to put that. Issue is with the manner in which you did that. You did not feel welcomed because they did not share wifi pwd but the reality is we never ask for wifi as mobile data is super cheap and unlimited, asking for wifi is not a norm in first place, you did not feel welcomed because because restaurants after you finished eating cleaned the tables and gave bills - come on have some open mind about other cultures you are in foreign land and it has its culture you are not in your home country, your primary complaint of people not speaking English 😂 because of which you did not feel welcomed - where ever Hindi is spoken they don’t study English nor it is required for them in their daily life, they have zero understanding of English in fact 89% of people here don’t understand english - there are plenty of translator apps on phone probably you need wifi to download that 😂 sorry, you did not feel welcomed because some people did not smile at you - lol they did not even understand you, you did not like the poor fellas sleeping on the floor in railway station - about 10 billion passengers trips takes place by train annually in India which is equal to total train passenger trips of the rest of the world and India being a 62% rural have people who are not used to sophisticated life style and is a poor country have such things which should be known before travelling, you did not like the security system and assuming absurd things because it exists, lol you have zero knowledge about the country nor you have any open mind, I am just wondering why did you even come to India. Assess what you have spoken first. Auto rickshaw (tuktuk) issues, cleanliness issues, we all know that as we also face these issues on daily basis. WiFi should had been given at coffee bars, mid budget hotels issues, international payment card issues, there are not the subject of any comments put down here by anyone. We don’t need to defend any individual businesses on how they operate. If WiFi is required by people in cafés and restaurants then it’s good for them to provide as it’s good for their business.

Sorry that you had a bad experience in India. India is a vast country and experiences can be varied depending on what you are seeking. Addressing some of the concerns that you raised - 1. Internet - As some people pointed out, most people have unlimited 5g on their phones hence don't need public Wifi. Secondly, India has faced a lot of terrorist attacks and hence leaving Wifi free for anyone leaves the country's security at risk. You might argue that western countries are far more secure and yet give public Wifi, well the situation in India is unique and the country has been through a lot of hardship with illegal use of wifi for nefarious activities. Also a lot of restrictions you see in India today are getting adopted in western countries subsequently. Classic example is airport security; India had it long before sept 2001; now you see airport security around the world. 2. Payment - a lot of places accept google pay and cards. I use my international cards when in India and it has worked. With street vendors google pay and UPI (Indian version of epayment) is what is more common. So there you may have to use cash. 3. Train tickets needing phone number - This is because most Indians who travel in trains have a phone number and the tickets are also sent to the phone which is why they need that number. It is very inconvenient to mandate taking a print out and taking it while traveling. 4. People looking at you - From the video clips you showed, it looked like people were looking at you vlogging. You may not have faced it in Bangalore as much but in smaller cities people are not familiar with vlogging and they may have been looking at you vlogging and wondering what is going on. 5 Cleanliness - This is a genuine concern and I am sure if you travel widely you can see various levels of cleanliness or the lack of it in different countries. Not all countries are the same. Richer countries are relatively cleaner, poorer countries are not. For that matter if you go to some places in the USA/UK/France as well it may not be clean. So do travel to India again, but do your research before traveling. I am sure you will find a lot of things to enjoy while as in any place there may be a few things you may have to be ready to ignore.

Even though it hurts, I see the struggles you have faced while you were in my country. The points you have mentioned are true but it doesn't apply everywhere.
I don't know if you would come to India again, but try to go places which are either in southern or eastern part (Meghalaya, Arunachal, Himachal) of India. Getting travel permission would be difficult for foreigners to go eastern part as they are border states, and its difficult to find transport, but it's truly worth it. It's not much crowded, decently clean, welcoming people, more relaxing, and the views are spectacular.
The beauty of this country is, each place has different vibe. I do travel to other countries, but nothing comes close to India. Tt usually takes some time to actually understand and fall in love with my country.

In india they either not allowed or they give passwords for very short time.. especially in hotels etc. 2) irctc booking... as a country we should facilitate the acceptance of international cards such as visa. If we start saying its tourist problem or their banks problem.. then we should not say india is tourist friend country. 3) trash - its major problem in India. Hope u would agree 4) auto - its day light theft. Even as Indians u can handle the mafia. Imagine visitors who don't know ur local language. 4) hotel services for money paid - if it is 5 star + then, u will get good service. Otherwise there is lots n lots of improvement needed.
Pls don't get offended. As Indians we have obligations to provide good experience to our visitors and should not start blaming them.

In Rajasthan, dishes come alive with bold, fiery spices, embodying the desert’s warmth and vibrancy. Meanwhile, Gujarat strikes a unique balance between spicy and sweet, offering a surprising twist with each bite. Every state has its own culinary story to tell, and without India’s spices, the world’s kitchens would lack a certain magic. While some foreign visitors might find the heat intense, Indian cuisine remains a symphony of flavors-bold, aromatic, and unforgettable!

      1. You can withdraw money from ATM using any international card. This will solve your transaction problem.

Hi Malina! I think what you experienced is a result of a trip which was not properly planned.
Here are some interesting points which we would like to share:
    1. We usually don’t smile at strangers. At the same time, we are very social. It is very easy to make friends. We do smile when we come across someone whom we already know 🙂
    2. Northern India (outside Delhi NCR region) and Eastern India have higher poverty rates.
    3. Women safety is something that differs from place to place. Some are safe and some are unsafe. Bangalore is a relatively modern and safe city. Generally, western and southern parts of India are better for women in terms of safety and empowerment.
    4. Cleanliness differs from place to place. Asia’s cleanest village, Mawlynnong, is located in Meghalaya in North Eastern part of India.
    5. Bangalore is a cosmopolitan city where you can get all kinds of food, spicy and non-spicy. I don’t think finding a food with less spice is a big deal in Bangalore.
    6. English is one of our official languages but not everyone knows it. Proficiency level differs from person to person. Generally, the educated urban class can understand and speak English. The poor folks in Jaipur and Udaipur might not be knowing English and would have spoken to you in Hindi.
It is not appropriate to judge a country after visiting only 3 cities. There are many places you could have visited like Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar, Islands, Kerala, Tamil Nadu etc. Many of these places are tourist friendly 😊
Hope you will have an enjoyable trip next time. La Revedere 👋

    All your criticisms are valid.
India has a long way to go in terms of all and everything you have mentioned. India in its current form is at a stage where China was in early 2000s. There's a huge newly minted middle class and lower class that has moved up the ladder in social structure of society. Such people aren't very verse with basic civic sense and courtesy. However it is their normal behavior because they don't know any better and also mean no offense of any kind to foreigners.
For us Indians it comes across as normal behaviour as we've experiencing it throughout our lives.
For foreigners it is a cultural shock, especially for Europeans. The raw energy of humanity and choas is overwhelming for the most.
India is still a developing third world country with a huge population. Most people are just trying to get by their day and earn their livlihood however they can. These are generational societal challenges for the country. Some regions are more developed than others or instance Bangalore where you were on your last day. However still a long way to go for rest of the country.
Please don't mind and ignore the mean comments.
Also I would like to mention about that experience you shared of the 4 star hotel of them washing the dishes. They first rinse the dishes with water to remove the excess food and stains, and have them washed with detergent later on. They stack them and washed them in batches periodically.
Alrighty now, keep up the good work and good luck for your future adventures.

you have to know that more than 100.000 people from India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka already work in Romania with work permits, and they are happy here.... under-developed Romania ?? wtf are you talking about man, the salaries here are 4 times bigger than India, there is no pollution, no criminality no poop on the streets, no dead bodies in the rivers, no dumps in the streets are you for real ??

I don't have hate for your country. I hate the person when someone give false image of India.
I agree salary would be 4 times more than India as you are saying. But, the cost of living would be atleast 5 times more than India for sure.
I still respect Romania for sure.

I saw your previous videos, and I saw that you tried really hard to show the positive aspects there.
I understand that making all those videos might not be the easiest task as well, given that you always in the back of your mind experiencing all these issues. I would recommended to have someone to guide you: Not 24x7, but at least on some level.
My 2 cents on how this could have been much different experience:
    1. An Indian sim should be the first thing you obtain once landing here, because everything is obviously accustomed in that manner. Indian currency and an Indian wallet would go a long way in resolving several of your issues.
    2. Avoiding the high end places: I agree that it seems risky to take the bet in mid or lower end restaurants and hotels, but always choosing the best available option will probably hamper your expectation and reality equation. If you choose the high end places, and expect them to be cheaper, it's a bit difficult.
    3. Ignore the stares: Safety is paramount, but not all cultures are same. Even I will be consistently stared at despite being an Indian male, if I make a video on road. It's just a bit awkward, and you must ignore it to truly appreciate other things.
Regardless, I understand that India is not for everyone, I also understand that there are thousands of things where improvement is required, but I would also affirm that there is no place like India in the world, and you need to appreciate it by understanding this first. The onus to take joy from your efforts is not on India, it's on you.

Also I would like to say. Sorry but it's fact probably someone misguided you. You missed a good spots at Rajasthan as well as Bengaluru. Mainly food spots, hotels. Everywhere in the world have good and bad spots. So plan next time perfectly. Come back to India once again🎉

Yes, that might be true! Having some friends in Rajasthan region and in Bengaluru would have been great! The truth is, that sometimes even if you plan the most detailed trips, when you reach there, the plans may change so you always have to be ready to face the unknown when traveling.

It is a must to have a sim in India, almost everything requires it. There is very little card culture but if you have sim the data is super cheap so usually people don't ask for wifi's. You can pay anywhere with your phone if u have a sim, everyone has QR codes. You should have done a little research, your trip would have been much much easier and enjoyable.
