The fact that he's still a ruthless murderer who seems to show almost no emotion other than anger and has no problem with killing at random and still he's a saint in comparison to some of the others in this game
What makes this game scary is the fact that , by putting yourself in Cash's position , you realize it's a life or death situation. If you don't think and act fast , you'd be dead before you know it.
It's a survival game. About 7 years ago my elder brother played it and my dad deleted it because of the violence chopping off heads and then throwing it for lures. Now I play this game although it's old I still love it

Probably the best mission in the game: 1. Piggsy is a awesome boss fight. 2. You get to take the last few hunters down. 3. It is very satisfying to see Cash finally get revenge on the evil people who tormented him and killed his family (especially Starkweather’s death).

I feel like they should eventually set a GTA in Carcer. And the nice thing is that what we saw of it in Manhunt is so generic looking that it could literally be anywhere in the midwest or northeast that shitty neighborhoods and a subway system. I think they had either multiple cities in mind when they designed it, or nowhere in particular in mind, but now they can actually focus on one place to make it into.

I remember playing this back in the day, trying not to use Gamefaqs on my first playthrough. It's a bit of a guessing game as to how you're supposed to lure Piggsy, and that the chainsaw has a stealth kill, and that you should just bumrush Starkweather instead of trying to sneak around on him.

Fun fact right before Cash got "hired" by starkweather he got Piggsy chained up in the attic, and making Piggsy eat the bodies that he killed when he was "acting" for his uncle Starkweather, so that there would be no evidence that could get Starkweather arrested and he would do the same thing, with the people that cash killed but didnt have the time to make it happen no wonder that Piggsy was so fat, i read that Piggsy killed at least 50 people maybe up to 100 over a certain time period no wonder he wanted revenge. The story goes that Starkweather got piggsy chained up in the attic because he felt that Piggsy got too "excited" with killing people, he didnt follow orders so he decided to "hire" someone new wich turned out to be Cash a convicted criminal, Cash had to do what Starkweather told him or the cerberus would shoot him the most sick part is that Starkweather fed Piggsy, the people that Piggsy killed so that there were no evidence that could get Starkweather arrested and he was going to do the same thing with the people that Cash killed. I read that the events in manhunt takes place the same year as gta san Andreas (1992), one theory is that it takes place at the same time as CJ is traveling around "working"
The eerie this about this game is how the game just ends like that. It cuts right to a news segment and you don’t hear anything about what happens Cash.

According to an interview in 2022, Cash ended up settling down in a rural area and found peace. So he ended up getting some sort of happy ending after everything, even if it was also stated the events of the game forever put a weight on his soul

Because he is a naked and totally crazy man who wears a pig's head as a mask and REALLY thinks he is a pig. Also he talks like a kid and was locked in Starkweather's basement who knows for how long. Well, this is totally realistic and can happen! Rockstar did an amazing job with this game.
It's the most infamous. This game in fact almost destroyed the company during development and sheer controversy. That's why we will never see another game like this, sadly.

This scene shows the true horrors of the whole entire game, a cannibalistic obese man wearing a real pig head over his head while slaughtering his victims with a chainsaw and completely lost connection with reality and society, and keeping bodies and other body parts around where he was chained up. This is a lot scarier than dealing with those Smileys who were really psychotic and a bunch of loonies but not like Piggsy.
Manhunt is one my favorite games of all time! I like the main character, the executions in this game are amazing, every each gang in this game looks so awesome, the story line for this game is amazing, the ending for this game was so good and everything else about this game was awesome! :D

Just played this for the first time ever and this scene was my absolute favourite from the entire game. Was not expecting piggsy to jump out on me like that, scared the shit out of me 😭.
I remember hiding in the shadows for a while, then as soon as I stepped out Piggsy appeared and started chasing. It gave me an insane amount of chills at the time. Probably the scariest moment I've ever had in a game.
I remember the first time i did this, i was high at 3am alone and after slicing starkweathers stomach open he collapses to his knees, the camera freezez like that and all i hear repeatedly is...Cash i made you.
Excellent game, Thank you for this. Brings back childhood memories of the good old gaming days of Rockstar Classics. The Warriors was another masterpiece. If any games deserve a remake, they should remake the Manhunt Series and the Warriors.
I was literally looking for this specific game for AGEEEES. I think I used to play this or watch gameplays on it when I was younger. It was insanely scary to me back then.
Thanks to Manhunt, politicians seek to regulate videogames, when first came out it made a tremendous tailspin everywhere. Right now we're living in more sensitive times, it would be extremely delicate.
@@fr.Angel21what about Tlou2(2020), which had extreme violence(you can dismember people, blow them up etc. during normal gameplay), but it never got any strict regulations from any government, everyone took it like it's ok. It had the same dark atmosphere and plot like Manhunt, people even had to temporarily quit gaming after this title to recover psychically after everything that this game had to present
I hate to admit this, but Starkweather killed me like 3 or 4 times before I got him. I got the game when it first came out (favorite PS2 game ever), and just played it again recently on my PS4. I didn't charge him like you the last time, I took it slow and made sure that I knew where he was. He would've killed you with on more shot lol. Anyway, great playing man and I hope to God that we'll see a Manhunt 3 at some point!
The first time I encountered pigsy, he scared me. Will comment after I finish the mission/game. The pigsy bored scene scared me cause pigsy jumpscared me right before that. Will continue again. Finished it. GG man.

Manhunt is one my favorite games of all time! I like the main character, the executions in this game are amazing, every each gang in this game looks so awesome, the story line for this game is amazing, the ending for this game was so good and everything else about this game was awesome! :D

Fun fact right before Cash got "hired" by starkweather he got Piggsy chained up in the attic, and making Piggsy eat the bodies that he killed when he was "acting" for his uncle Starkweather, so that there would be no evidence that could get Starkweather arrested and he would do the same thing, with the people that cash killed but didnt have the time to make it happen no wonder that Piggsy was so fat, i read that Piggsy killed at least 50 people maybe up to 100 over a certain time period no wonder he wanted revenge.
The story goes that Starkweather got piggsy chained up in the attic because he felt that Piggsy got too "excited" with killing people, he didnt follow orders so he decided to "hire" someone new wich turned out to be Cash a convicted criminal, Cash had to do what Starkweather told him or the cerberus would shoot him
I read that the events in manhunt takes place the same year as gta san Andreas (1992), one theory is that it takes place at the same time as CJ is traveling around

Check out the beta version. There are several animations that were for some reason left out for the final game that I think should've happened.
I remember hiding in the shadows for a while, then as soon as I stepped out Piggsy appeared and started chasing. It gave me an insane amount of chills at the time. Probably the scariest moment I've ever had in a game.
We desperately need a high quality remake of Manhunt 1 and 2. Imagine how incredible it could look and sound with today's tech in video games!

Excellent game, Thank you for this. Brings back childhood memories of the good old gaming days of Rockstar Classics. The Warriors was another masterpiece. If any games deserve a remake, they should remake the Manhunt Series and the Warriors.

It had the same dark atmosphere and plot like Manhunt, people even had to temporarily quit gaming after this title to recover psychically after everything that this game had to present

I hate to admit this, but Starkweather killed me like 3 or 4 times before I got him. I got the game when it first came out (favorite PS2 game ever), and just played it again recently on my PS4. I didn't charge him like you the last time, I took it slow and made sure that I knew where he was. He would've killed you with on more shot lol. Anyway, great playing man and I hope to God that we'll see a Manhunt 3 at some point!
