*Figures that the bird didn't die in Norion. Further upgraded with Phazon, Omega Ridley has a plethora of attacks. He slashes, he bites, he unleashes a flamethrower attack, he whips his tail, he uses the two previously mentioned attacks in tandem, he fires fireballs, both as a homing attack and a straight shot, he creates two orbs of energy and smashes them together, creating a cage that expands the arena, he flies around the arena and launches bombs, he goes aerial and creates a shockwave by stomping on the ground, and he charges up for a high-speed tackle. Wow, that's a lot of commas!
Omega Ridley has not recovered totally, though. A chest plate covers his heart, so stun him by shooting his mouth. Grab on to his chest plate with your Grapple Lasso and rip it open, exposing the heart for a Phazon Beam heart burn. At two-thirds of his health, Omega Ridley creates a Phazite chest plate to protect the heart. Two points are weak to the Nova Beam, so stun him and aim true. At about a third of his health, Omega Ridley takes to the skies, abandoning the pretense of chest protection. Kill the bird for what seems like the infinite time and clear away the Leviathan Seeds detected by the Federation.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy (soon to be Quadrilogy) had some of the best and meaningfully/viscerally high-octane boss battles in gaming. They are so good.
I stand by the opinion that Chykka is the best in the trilogy. Such a fun, creative boss.
This guy sure is stubborn. We beat him so many times, but he just keeps bouncing back for more
Notice Samus doesn't get PTSD in what would be her third time(I think) fighting Ridley canonically.

There’s a reason why Ridley keeps coming back again and again! Death fears him so much, it keeps spitting him out and out!

Somehow Ridley managed to survive this until his ultimate death in Super Metroid which is chronologically after this game.

Because of hypermode (at least in this game).
But I do! Unless you're talking about blowing off the chest plate? Yeah...I found it better just to spam shots (and soothing hearing the beam make impact!).

You people know what I think? The Ridley with the phalanges, the tarsals, metatarsals and the ankle joint on the legs opened like a V might be way fantastic looking. The Ridley standing on all fours a little more like a crocodile( running, walking and trotting) and on two legs (more Dinosaur/ human-like: run, and walk). It’s very inspirational. Especially designed more dinosaur/dragon-ish. And being more dinosaur/dragon-like. And of course more human-like. Let me tell you all this might look good for a mixture of inspirational reference.
Prime 3 is probably my least played game of the trilogy (quadrilogy-to-be?), and tbh I was glad I'd forgotten most of the Omega Ridley fight--got to experience all the intensity pretty fresh. I think his theme was the one thing that stuck in my mind most clearly over the years due to just being utterly badass.
Last month I played through the trilogy using PrimeHack with HD texture and UI/menu mods. God damn, did it make these games beautiful--and needless to say, Omega Ridley looked pretty damn glorious as well.
This needs to come to the Switch.

I find it weird that you heal when your pulling of ridleys armer and i know why it heals but its just weird to me also in smash ridley should have a crouch walk thats slow but looks like that and his down tillt when he is doing that he would carge ford and it would be a weak long ranged lagy attack but oviasly you wouldent be able to use scewer when crouch walking just so ridley wouldnt be op
