I dont know if i m tripping but i m sure i ve seen this quote used somewhere in honkai impact 3rd so it would be fitting (it was maybe on one of the messages on the loading screen of the elysian realm
So looks like we have quite a few aeons on the kill list of some characters. The Xianzhou characters seem to be determined to destroy Yaoshi. Stellaron hunters maybe want to destroy nanook. Now we have acheron and possibly other self annihilators who want to destroy IX.
It's also noted by Dr. Primitive's note on Self-Annihilators that those who can resist the pull of Nihility 'prolong their journey indefinitely'. Now, perhaps this is reading it a bit too literally, but there's a distinct possibility that this means Self-Annihilators with this kind of willpower 1) don't age anymore and 2) that the progress of their Self-Annihilation halts. It doesn't get any better, and they still suffer all the damage done to themselves so far, but they don't get worse. But simultaneously, they must bear the consequences of that damage for as long as they resist the pull, at least until their willpower gives out and they take the final plunge. And it's implied that very few Self-Annihilators manage to pull this off. Considering we know from the Izumo Ornament set that Izumo and Takamagahara are almost considered myth by the universe at large, and there's debate as to where or when they existed, that means Acheron very much outlived her planet. And considering how long it takes for a planet to fall into a black hole, she could very well be the oldest character in the game, IF this theory is correct.
That is very plausible. Everybody who's met Acheron even said stuff like, "Nobody knows where she comes from," alluding to the idea of Izumo being destroyed/swallowed by IX happening way, way in the past. Unlike Aventurine who's known as a Sigonian and the story of his home planet still fresh in memory.

Actually,nietzche really disliked the idea of nihilism. He believed that humans existed to better themselves. Something something,ubermensch.
