I remember walking out and looking up and almost my whole field of vision was a giant smoke cloud up in the sky. I nearly peed my pants. I could see tiny chunks of metal high upon the air that were in reality bigger than my car and I knew they would be raining down. I got my wife and kid into the bathtub and layed over them expecting to be crushed any second. Luckily that didn't happen but 23 people lost their lives that day. I'll never ever forget that day.

How come all banks and other places don't have the doors lock when they are in between the two doors so they are just stuck in between both doors so they can't get out!?
The most like reason is time. Open inside door then outside door locks…chances the inside door just a few feet away closing at high speed and locking before the robber can simply turn and come back in is slim to none. While I’m sure something could be built to close at high speed if a button was pushed, the weight of the door would be so great and costs would be ridiculously high…if it were possible. Just a guess my friend. EDIT: just thinking of a quick, lower cost solution…embed a bunch of automatic guns above the exit points, pointing directly down and blast the robber as they attempt to exit ;-). That would serve as a deterrent or provoke a hostage situation. Ideally, every bank could simply have a ninja on-site 24/7 positioned above on catwalks (like old school Vegas security) then huck a throwing star w KO sedative as the robber attempts exit. That way, hostages are removed as risk but then again a smart robber would simply strap bombs to himself letting all know if he hits the ground, kaboom! Dam cat n mouse game ;-)
Banks got insurance. They’ll get they’re money back. You don’t want a rabid robber who’s possibly armed panicked and unsure if they’re willing killing people to get out. It’s safer to just let them try to get away and get caught later then keep him in there with civilians to hold hostage
