I Personally don't care one bit about genetics, but the way they portrayed chimeraism, spreading more missinformation on how it works irl, because I think chimeraism is cool and i'm sad i can't even find a picture of a chimera cat in google images just split faces where the closest visual thing is narnia and hes not even a chimera either hes just a genetic mutation that was proven by genetic testing, don't get me wrong some of them could be chimeras but almost all of them aren't. And also the inbreeding like her family tree.. its a circle
She's like 3rd generation inbred. Her parents are 1st cousins, her paternal grandparents are cousins in 2 ways, and her maternal grandparents are cousins
When it comes to the aesthetics of this Arc, I agree on the awkward cover and bland arc name, but I disagree with the title being lazy. I think it's a deliberate hint that we are getting a belated sequel arc to A Vision of Shadows, similar to PO3 + OOTS, but separated temporally. "The Elder's Quest" was consciously done to mirror "The Apprentice's Quest", especially since both Alderheart and Tawnypelt's journeys involved/will involve righting an ancient wrong. For AVOS it was SkyClan's exodus, and for Tawnypelt it's whatever we're getting in Ivypool's Heart. Also, with a Leafstar perspective (not stoked that she's getting one and not, say, Hawkwing, or one of the former daylight warriors) and what the website has revealed about SkyClan's land being threatened, and the Arc name, the SkyClan conflict of AVOS might see a resurgence. Personally I'm 50/50 on whether the Clans are going to end up changing territories again. On one hand from an author perspective, it makes sense, we've been by the lake for six Arcs now, but from an audience perspective it seems pretty abrupt. There's enough massive political changes happening in the Clans. If they do switch territories I hope they mess around with the climate a bit (maybe being closer to Sundrownplace?) I have a feeling we might get a protagonist shift this Arc---I think Leafstar is going to die halfway through and we'll get Hawkstar. Then the POV will shift most likely to Whistlepaw/whatever her name ends up being. Either that or Tawnypelt dies and the same happens. OR they pull a TNP and just...play with perspective, have a Whistlepaw book the way they had a Stormfur book. Either way I find it super weird that the team is clearly obsessed with Whistlepaw and yet she isn't a POV ???? Okay rant over but your video really got me thinking, great work as always =]
A protagonist shift would be interesting. I did have a small feeling someone may die but I wasn't sure hence why I didn't mention it. I understand your points and this arc could indeed lead to significant changes. Thank you btw :)
I have always been a fan of unique patterned designs in fanart of warriors! Im actually kinda glad moonpaw is a chimera since it gives a lot of options for her design. Even cats that are tortoiseshells or calicos, I often draw them unique from other cats so they stand out! So while I don’t mind moonpaw being a chimera, but like a lot of fans, I agree her parents are a problem. Especially since I love Bayshine..
I haven't read anything past arc 7, so I just get most of the information on the latest arcs online lol. But yeah, latest arc sounds quite interesting and honestly I'm pretty surprised that Leafstar is still alive.
Freaking _Mistystar_ only just now died in the current arc. MISTYSTAR, who was an ADULT in the VERY FIRST BOOK, managed to last until the current arc before finally kicking it. I maintain that Bluestar had to have been slipping her extra lives under the table, bc jesus christ.
@@lzrshark617 I KNOW RIGHT! Since Squirrelflight recently became leader too, I have no idea how long she's going to live. Especially since she has her 9 lives still (if I'm not mistaken) it could take a couple of arcs or so.
bright guardian akira explains the chimera thing pretty well in her new video! it’s mainly just the erins leaning into a misconception about chimeras that bugged ppl (me included lol). still super excited for this arc though!
Moonpaw is luke really inbred. 3rd gen inbred. So if they fixed her to make her an actual cymaira or like deformedish them that could like get the cats to stop breeding woth their cousins. Also arc 2 kinda worked for 3 protags? Having only 2 a book and swtching it every other book worked better. They should repeat this for arc 9 but add in whistlepaw
the warriors team don't seem to understand they can have a prophetic cat who doesn't have a POV, keep moonpaw's vision, make her a supporting character
