This is a full length feature video of some Train Simulator 2017 gameplay featuring the new Caltrain SF-San Jose Peninsula Corridor route. Here we see Caltrain's roster of F40s and MP36s power their trains of Nippon Sheryo and Bombardier commuter coaches at speed plus a few appearances by Union Pacific, the freight operator on the line.
Notes: Horn sounds used or stock sounds. The F40's engine sounds have been bassboosted, I've just started work on mods to the MP36.

Note: There are also Caltrain repaints for the RSC GP9 and DTG F40PH-2CAT if one doesn't want to use the Amtrak version.
This vid brings nostalgia of the old versions of Train Simulator. Now, we have the TSW version of Caltrain which is definitely better than this version (better graphics, has both Bombardier and Nippon Sharyo Gallery Cars and even the MP15, signals actually work, more scenarios, and it has a timetable for Caltrain weekday service which is mostly accurate). The only thing that would make it even better though is if they added a weekend timetable.

WMRRVA they said they aren’t making the map editor because you would have to learn unreal engine scripting...
Will you guys continue to play Train Simulator long after the official release of TSW?
Matthew Gorres Haha I had a time with the CZ F40 and MP36 together, between trying to stop and F40 and then trying to get the MP36 to go again I don't know what's worse.
ALP Train Videos I certainly will be playing it, as long as they bring out content I hope for. I don't see TSW gaining much traction for quite a while.
Michael Foy agreed. Just like the current sim, it may be a year or two before we some actual good content. Not that CSX isn't good (my home road) but rarities like us commuter routes like this one will almost certainty be some time before their made, not to mention all the various us locos and cars (much of which still have yet to be done in the current sim).

I honestly can remember. I think it's automatic.
