the bolts for the descending/lifting lever... might open over a short time as they are looking like standard nuts are used - not self-securing nylon insert ones...

Almost all DIY drill presses on YT are of small swing range...not very versatile? Can't one be made with just a spindle from the ceiling...no pillar? That would accomodate a whole 8 foot sheetmetal or plywood.✌️✌️✌️
