What's your step four? I believe you are in the process if filling your online details. After paying for name reservation and it's approved. Login to your account and Just upload all necessary documents they want and fill all the details. Once done, wait for approval and your certificate will be in your account for you to download at anytime.
My card got rejected for payment. I try using bank transfer but they did not provide any account number, bit it was stated below the box that i should pay into the above acct but no acct number
@@ogunbunmiasisat5690 There are many options there. USSD, card, account transfer and so on. I have used Gtbank card and First bank cards and they work. For ba k transfer I think they only allow Fidelity bank. Try USSD if your card failed.
Thank you for sharing. I actually tried it. I paid and after 3 days, I'm yet to get any response if it's approved, denied or not submitted. I'm unhappy. Should I try it again?
@@ogunbunmiasisat5690 See if there is Fintech operation or Point of Sales operation there. Or financial label. Anything like that. Under remark, You can add point of sales or POS operator.
I learnt it's best to choose Administrative and Support Services Activities and then under specific nature of business, select General merchandize and in the space under that, write POS Agent

@@abiodunenitan602 If it's 404 error then you are probably on a non existing page. Login again and go to the right page. If you keep getting errors, then you need to delete your system cache and try again. If it still persists then try some other time. They always have server issues.
If it's not saving then make sure to confirm that you have filled all required fields. If it still doesn't save then it's probably your network or server issues. You can try again some other time.

It takes about 2 to 3 days for them to approve or reject a reserved name. I think the strike is responsible for the delay. Just wait some more days. If it remains the same, you can also call the support number on their website or visit the nearest office.

If it's a store and you buy and sell, then you have to treat it like a regular business not a religious body. Choose any category as any other businesses or stores.

You are welcome. You will have to create an account to register for someone else. The account has to be in that person's name. Only CAC accredited agents can create accounts for others.

Make sure to add a date in the future not a past date. When you add a past date you get that notification.. When you add a date like a month from now which is reasonable since your business isn't even registered yet, you want get that.
@@kachyskouture8291 They accept their payments via remita. Go to remita and choose purpose of payment and select whatever penalty fee. Pay and then you will send download proof and send to them. There should be somewhere on your portal to upload that. login.remita.net/remita/onepage/CAC/biller.spa

I try registering a business name and I made payments via bank transfer and before I could come back to my cac portal the page has already closed, and it was asking me to sign in again when I sign in and I went back to remita portal that one also have closed, at the end of everything I was charged for the registration yet registration was not successful,. You have to.. You are about to run a business, so you have to provide all the necessary documents so they can identify and know the person behind the business..

No. It's the same steps but you have to choose company name option instead of business name. Then pay for name reservation which is almost the same N500 at the time I made the video. Then in second step, register the limited liability company name but price as at the time I made the video, it was N20K. Just fill necessary documents which is a little different including the CO2 and CO7 forms but the same steps.
@@IamBmj_ It's one of the forms you have to fill in the second step. One is for director details where you fill in the details of the directors of the company and the other is share allocation form where you fill in details of the shares of the directors etc. Just names, address and other information to be completed and submitted.
Good pm sir please I made payments for name reservation infact twice in a roll immediately but once I clicked on the I have made payments it will just hold it won't show anything at all but I will be sent mail to show I have paid for it but I can't go beyond that and when I go back to my dashboard it's still not showing that I have reserved any name . You have to wait for the approval. You should get a mail after some days if the name reservation is successful and then you can begin the name registration process. If your application is disapproved, you will have to submit another two name options and pay another reservation fee.

Yes once you register a name with a phone number, you can't use it on another account. You have to register another account using another phone number. Yes she can use your account but the business name will be tied to your account and going forward, she has to do any edit using your account bad you will be registered as a business partner sort of.
Print out the Certificate and the print status report.. The print status should be two pages and also download the Certificate.. That's what you need to do whatever you need it for...
Yes. That's one of the reasons of registering a business name. You need that to open a business account. Without the registration certificate, you can't.
You have to edit your profile information. Click on “Profile” at the top right corner of the page. Then select "Edit". Now you can edit all the fields. Then save and exit page. Go back to the dashboard and select "Delete" on the duplicated entry.

@@attunasoussunday7230 Is your business name approved and registered? If not you can't do that. To do that before approval, you will probably need to contact any CAC accredited agent around you. They can do that for you with an accredited account... That will probably require you to pay a token to do that.
Is it okay to choose other nature of business if mine isn't on the list? Again , does it mean other nature of business is what will appear on the certificate?
When you select other, you will be required to provide a skeletal description of the nature and sector of the company’s business. An outline of the proposed business of the company needs to be set out and that will enable CAC determine where to add the business. Sometimes a new category or subcategory is introduced if absent and sometimes you are placed in the right business category they deem fit.
It's a pity I can't screenshot and send to you here. I reserved my business name yesterday around 7:15am and up till now it still hasn't shown approved or denied. I keep loading and loading the page but it only shows me that Its pending. Please should I still wait more or something is wrong?
It's take a day or two working days. Yesterday was Friday and they probably didn't get to it before they left the office. So you have to wait until Monday when they will be in the office to approve it.
Once your reserved name has been approved, log in to the CAC portal and then check your name reservation history and you should see the reserved name. Click action and check your payment history to download the a PDF and inside that you should see the availability code. Use the code to continue your registration.
I'm here again with another question. I got this from CAC but I do not understand what they meant. Can you please shed more light 👇 Section 574(1) CAMA makes it mandatory for every firm, individual or corporation required to be registered under Part B, to be registered within Twenty-Eight (28) days from the date of the commencement of the business for which registration is required.
Your listed commencement date should be within 28 days of the registered date.. So make sure you list your commencement date like 2 months away or so.. That way when it's approved, the registered date will be close to your own business commencement date.

You have to consider the fact that many of their offices don't process registration in time and if you put a date that is more than 28 days from when it's finally approved. So treat it like, you are registering the business, but the business has not started yet. It''s going to start 2 weeks or two months from now. I am sure that is allowed..
They will. Sometimes it takes some days. You can send an email to CAC and in the email make sure to add your Remita payment information and they will reply. You can also click on the check status button in your CAC portal to see more.
If you have paid, wait for remita to send confirmation. Then it should change to submitted. If it doesn't then contact their support and show them your payment confirmation.

Yes they do have that problem and I hope they fix that. If you successful registered a username with your email and you didn't get that warning when you are registering an account it means that username has not been picked. Do that and go ahead and login. If you get that warning after you have picked a username then you can click forgot password and see if you can change your password. If it doesn't work then you have to create another account and this time make sure the username is available. You can add some numbers to your username as this works best.
It should be clickable once you have selected the main category first. If it's not, then it's either site issues or your network. You can refresh the page to reselect and if it still doesn't work, do it some other time.
Yes you can register a private liability company. You only need a lawyer when you want to do business with the registered name like when opening a corporate bank account or start your main business. This is just the registration stage and no lawyer is needed at this point

Open a new account for the person and register with his details. You have to be an accredited agent to register others in your account dashboard. If you want to be an accredited agent, go to the nearest CAC office and they will tell you how to go about it.
Yes you have to pick and reserve another name. To prevent another name rejection, make sure to check and confirm that the name you want is not already picked.
They will send you an email for a confirmation code. You need to enter that on the space in your dashboard.. You can't continue without getting that code. Once you get it, click and enter it in the space and then continue from there.
The CAC annual return fee is between N2,000 and N5,000 and that depends on if you are a public company or an enterprise or small company. You can check the CAC website for the fees. Just download the annual return form on the website, fill it and pay to the bank account listed there.

@@rasheedsalamot6982 If a name is denied, it means it's not available. You need to find another name. Make a research first and make sure that the name you want has not been picked by someone else.
Late certification download is something they introduced last year I think and they did not specify that well.enough on their penalties page. Visit the penalties payment page of their payment processor Remita at login.remita.net/remita/onepage/CAC/biller.spa and see if there is that penalty option. If not, then head to their office in your city and they will tell you what to do.

Go through your answers and make sure they are right. Put your business in the right category and subcategory and so on. You get query if you answer them wrong. Just log in and edit and save again.
Make a final check and if there is no query anymore, you can just resubmit. But there is clearly what you are not doing right if they keep sending you queries. Use the right documents and make sure they are the right size and you can always use PDF to make them clearer.

You can change later and register as a limited liability later if you have plans to make it bigger with partners and share holders. If you have re-served it a s business name, you can't change it. You have to register it as a company name by doing a other reservation as a company name.
You can't.. You have to apply for TIN after you get your CAC certificate. There is video I created that shows you how to get TIN online for free. There is a link in the description ...
Make sure the document is large enough and in maybe PDF and JPEG.. It's best you scan this at any business center at high resolution.. It will be accepted the first time once you do this .. If it's giving you that notifications,bits probably not accepted. You can always reupload later...
If you are the sole owner and don't want to be limited by shares, you can register as a private unlimited company. And no, it won't affect you later if you choose to convert it to a limited company, but you will need to re-register it as such and a few formalities will need to be carried out

Resolve whatever they want you to resolve and it could be to change your business category or upload a missing document etc. Just go through and correct all details that you feel they are referring to and then resubmit.

Sometimes it takes time depending on the city agency handling your registration process.. Just wait a bit and you can also send them an email as a reminder.. You Can Get that on their website..
You have to be agent to register for other. You will have to create an agent account instead of personal account. You have to visit their office and go with your NYSC certificate and some documents and register as an agent. Then you can register for others via your agency account using their details...
For clearing and forwarding business, it's advisable to choose a company name.. Since it's a sole business, make it a private business. I have seen guys start this as a business name and later upgrade it toa company name...
Pay for commencement date? I don't think that's what they want you to do. They want you to enter a commencement date. So make sure you add a date like a month away from today to something and it will be solved.

@@SOLTANA019 There is private liability company or LTD or Public Limited Company or PLC. I am sure yours is a private one so choose the Private liability company option as it's also easy to register and not subject to nay external laws.

@@isimehugboh4633 If it's not approved, it means you chose a name that's almost similar to an existing name. If it's denied it means you have to reserve another name. Before you choose a name make sure you search the database first. That way your reservation won't be denied

You are welcome. If it's showing not submitted then go through your uploaded files and make sure you have the right documents.. Try again until it says submitted.. Then wait some days for the certificate. It will be right there in your download area once it's approved and ready.

@@blessingopuzi9636 If it's reserved and you have finished the second phase of the registration and submitted all needed documents, then just wait. They will go through it and attend to it. It takes a while depending on the State CAC handling your registration.
Of course that's why you register. This video shows you how to do it yourself without going to CAC's office or using an agent. You pay the right amount of money too..

Takes about a week to get full verification. But it depends on the your location. Local city CAC offices handle verifications so your city office will handle yours. It can take up to two weeks sometimes..

You can give it a try and if rejected, try other ones like ventures, resources, services, global resources, global ventures, global enterprise, global consults and so on.
Its very easy. You just have to follow the steps outlined in the video. Choose the right name that has not be selected before by first checking any name you picked. Then pay for the name and wait CAC to send you confirmation to continue. Then continue after you get confirmation via email and the rest is straight forward.
After initial payment to reserve the name and it's approved, you are supposed to get a code from them in your email to continue with payment for the name. If you are at this stage then wait for the code.. After you get the code, login to your account and enter the code and continue to submit all your details and upload your documents.. Then on the last page, you will pay for the name registration... After this step, you wait for final confirmation and download your CAC certificate.

I try registering a business name and I made payments via bank transfer and before I could come back to my cac portal the page has already closed, and it was asking me to sign in again when I sign in and I went back to remita portal that one also have closed, at the end of everything I was charged for the registration yet registration was not successful,. No. It's the same steps but you have to choose company name option instead of business name. Then pay for name reservation which is almost the same N500 at the time I made the video. Then in second step, register the limited liability company name but price as at the time I made the video, it was N20K. Just fill necessary documents which is a little different including the CO2 and CO7 forms but the same steps.

One is for director details where you fill in the details of the directors of the company and the other is share allocation form where you fill in details of the shares of the directors etc. Just names, address and other information to be completed and submitted.

You have to wait for the approval. You should get a mail after some days if the name reservation is successful and then you can begin the name registration process. If your application is disapproved, you will have to submit another two name options and pay another reservation fee.

Yes once you register a name with a phone number, you can't use it on another account. You have to register another account using another phone number. Yes she can use your account but the business name will be tied to your account and going forward, she has to do any edit using your account bad you will be registered as a business partner sort of.

@@attunasoussunday7230 Is your business name approved and registered? If not you can't do that. To do that before approval, you will probably need to contact any CAC accredited agent around you. They can do that for you with an accredited account... That will probably require you to pay a token to do that.
Is it okay to choose other nature of business if mine isn't on the list? Again , does it mean other nature of business is what will appear on the certificate?
When you select other, you will be required to provide a skeletal description of the nature and sector of the company’s business. An outline of the proposed business of the company needs to be set out and that will enable CAC determine where to add the business. Sometimes a new category or subcategory is introduced if absent and sometimes you are placed in the right business category they deem fit.
It's a pity I can't screenshot and send to you here. I reserved my business name yesterday around 7:15am and up till now it still hasn't shown approved or denied. I keep loading and loading the page but it only shows me that Its pending. Please should I still wait more or something is wrong?
It's take a day or two working days. Yesterday was Friday and they probably didn't get to it before they left the office. So you have to wait until Monday when they will be in the office to approve it.

Once your reserved name has been approved, log in to the CAC portal and then check your name reservation history and you should see the reserved name. Click action and check your payment history to download the a PDF and inside that you should see the availability code. Use the code to continue your registration.

Section 574(1) CAMA makes it mandatory for every firm, individual or corporation required to be registered under Part B, to be registered within Twenty-Eight (28) days from the date of the commencement of the business for which registration is required.
Your listed commencement date should be within 28 days of the registered date.. So make sure you list your commencement date like 2 months away or so.. That way when it's approved, the registered date will be close to your own business commencement date.
Sir in my own case I was told my business commencement date has exceed 28days to make payment on JAN 4, that’s I’m to pay #150 per day for 28 days in line with section 815 of CAMA 2020. And provide a complete REGD address , sir pls how do I make payment ?

You have to consider the fact that many of their offices don't process registration in time and if you put a date that is more than 28 days from when it's finally approved. They will. Sometimes it takes some days. You can send an email to CAC and in the email make sure to add your Remita payment information and they will reply. You can also click on the check status button in your CAC portal to see more.

Yes they do have that problem and I hope they fix that. If you successful registered a username with your email and you didn't get that warning when you are registering an account it means that username has not been picked. Do that and go ahead and login. If you get that warning after you have picked a username then you can click forgot password and see if you can change your password. If it doesn't work then you have to create another account and this time make sure the username is available. You can add some numbers to your username as this works best.

There are two options. You have to choose the agent option or the other option when you are creating an account. Don't choose agent option.

Yes you can register a private liability company. You only need a lawyer when you want to do business with the registered name like when opening a corporate bank account or start your main business. This is just the registration stage and no lawyer is needed at this point

Open a new account for the person and register with his details. You have to be an accredited agent to register others in your account dashboard. If you want to be an accredited agent, go to the nearest CAC office and they will tell you how to go about it.

They will send you an email for a confirmation code. You need to enter that on the space in your dashboard.. You can't continue without getting that code. Once you get it, click and enter it in the space and then continue from there.

Late certification download is something they introduced last year I think and they did not specify that well.enough on their penalties page. Visit the penalties payment page of their payment processor Remita at login.remita.net/remita/onepage/CAC/biller.spa and see if there is that penalty option. If not, then head to their office in your city and they will tell you what to do.

Go through your answers and make sure they are right. Put your business in the right category and subcategory and so on. You get query if you answer them wrong. Just log in and edit and save again.

Make a final check and if there is no query anymore, you can just resubmit. But there is clearly what you are not doing right if they keep sending you queries. Use the right documents and make sure they are the right size and you can always use PDF to make them clearer.

You have to be an accredited agent. Go to their office and register as a agent and you can register for anyone via your accredited account.

You can change later and register as a limited liability later if you have plans to make it bigger with partners and share holders. If you have re-served it a s business name, you can't change it. You have to register it as a company name by doing a other reservation as a company name.

Why am I getting "Not uploaded" status when I attempt to upload document?
Make sure the document is large enough and in maybe PDF and JPEG.. It's best you scan this at any business center at high resolution.. It will be accepted the first time once you do this .. If it's giving you that notifications,bits probably not accepted. You can always reupload later...

If you are the sole owner and don't want to be limited by shares, you can register as a private unlimited company. And no, it won't affect you later if you choose to convert it to a limited company, but you will need to re-register it as such and a few formalities will need to be carried out

How long name reservations expire after have been approved before registration?
If a name is approved, the name will be reserved for you for a 60 day period. You are expected to complete the registration within that period.

@@isimehugboh4633 If it's not approved, it means you chose a name that's almost similar to an existing name. If it's denied it means you have to reserve another name. Before you choose a name make sure you search the database first. That way your reservation won't be denied

Takes about a week to get full verification. But it depends on the your location. Local city CAC offices handle verifications so your city office will handle yours. It can take up to two weeks sometimes..

Its very easy. You just have to follow the steps outlined in the video. Choose the right name that has not be selected before by first checking any name you picked. Then pay for the name and wait CAC to send you confirmation to continue. Then continue after you get confirmation via email and the rest is straight forward.

After initial payment to reserve the name and it's approved, you are supposed to get a code from them in your email to continue with payment for the name. Then on the last page, you will pay for the name registration... After this step, you wait for final confirmation and download your CAC certificate.
