Aaron Miller: Christian Persecution isn't Strange, It's Sacred

- Aaron Miller leads VOM’s work in the Middle East. Recently he spoke in a college chapel, including telling the story of an experience of persecution he endured in India.
Aaron says even though the Bible promises Christians will face persecution, in that moment of suffering as he was punched and kicked he was surprised. But something else happened as well: he experienced God’s presence and grace in a significant and sacred way.
“In a way that I never dreamed of, I had a fellowship with Christ that I did not have before,” he says of that day.
Aaron also shares stories of persecuted Christians in Colombia, Bangladesh and the Middle East.

When I hear these storys I realize how truly blessed I am to live in the United States. Their faith is so strong that I ask myself "if I could be that brave"
you will be that brave when being that brave is required if you maintain your relationship to Christ.
Ahhh … Christ did say that being blessed is when you’re persecuted.
There is a much better blessing that being a US citizen. And I’m a veteran.

@@Anne-po99 I was not saying this in a care free manner. Persucation will come to the shores of the USA to. When American stops being good it will stop being great someone says. America is probably one of the most wicked nations in the world. We need repentance, revial and prayer. The bible tells us if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and repent and turn from there wicked ways I will hear from heaven forgive there sins and heal there land. Craig

Much like all the taboo topics, politics and religion, persecution is the one the church disregards, but it proclaims Christ ,piercing the gloom of hopelessness and hanging high the glory of God, a banner , an ensign a valiente cry for the love of the Savior..
Something that I’m struggling with is when am I sharing my faith, how to avoid being or coming off in a way that’s antagonistic or if this is just part of suffering for Christ Jesus. Like no matter what I do, it’s probably going to be antagonistic?
