Lived in the Jupiter area since 78. Thanks for sharing. Hard to remember what it was even like back then with so many changes. Indiantown Rd is worse now than it was in 2011.
I worked for Gee & Jenson Our Crew did most of the land surveying out indiantown road, Mac dairy road, Jonathans Landing Old Trail along with the arrow club and surrounding lands, Thanks for posting this Love this Video brings back some good Memories !!!
Thank you. That was really nice. To bad we didn't make it to the beach and corners. I was born in Jupiter in 1974, and now live in Jupiter Farms. I couldn't be happier. Thanks for the memories and the history.
I lived in Jupiter my whole life. Its a shame they turned paradise into a pretty parking lot. I remember Big Dollar, The Tree, and the bridge Smokie and the Bandit Jumped over. Thanks for the video!
I remember dirt roads, hidden fishing holes, and springs. I was born in Gardens hospital because Jupiter Mediacal wasn't even a thing yet. My mother used to have to bring a cooler with her to food shop as the only supermarket was Wynn Dixie on A1A by the beach. Our only McDonald's was there as well. I 95 passed us by for Donald Ross Road. I member tomatoe and strawberry fields owned by Meca Farms and cow fields as far as the eye could take you. What a trip. That Wendy's was my first job. Lol
I'd give it all up to go back and do it again- I'd fight Abacoa tooth and nail! It really was the demise of our little town... guess I this really brought out the nostalgia
Lived in Stuart/Jupiter essentially my entire life except for a 15 year period in Jax FL. Amazing to see the footage from how I remember this area to back in 2011. Now 2022 and not too many changes since. Good retrospect!
Amazing to think I have seen most of these changes - I think I have one home town in another place and feel so proud to be here early enough to appreciate the fact that I have another home town - - no disrespect to those who knew this area when it was pure country and pure joy!! God Bless!
Went to second/third grade in Jupiter in 1948/49 Lived out on a1a , my parents had a cafe/bar called Carey's Ocean bar on one side of a1a and the old Ranch motel was on the other. Our old bar is still there but now only a private home among the condo's Great memories. John Carey
Wow, I was living there then, but I was less than a year old when this vid was made, I miss those days when it was still a small town and my family knew all of the older families that lived in the area
Darn, not enough wide angle to get a good shot of The Tree. :-) I must really be old. I remember when Northlake Blvd was a pot holed 2 lane road that turned into shell rock at Military Trail & Military Trail turned into dirt from there going north. :-(
Jupiter has Celine Dion, Michael Jordan,Serena Williams, and other high priced spreads ... living there. Why is that? Because...you can go into your car and get groceries, or go bowling or go shopping...and be left...fucking ALONE! The climate is great. The area is great. There are less fan...atics. Heaven.

Totally miss those days! Makes me think I now know the reasons I enjoy taking all the 'backstreets'... just trying to go back in time!
Growing up in Jupiter was great, I lived there from 1968 to 2000. Class of 1980, thanks for the memories......

Thank you very much. Unfortunately not correctly synced, especially the second part on Military Trail.

Amazing.
The sky is beautiful
bummer miss those Australian pines
Great for ROPE SWINGS!!!
It was incredible during rain storms. It got so dark on Indiantown Road. That is what I missed when they widened it.
WOW! I moved there in 75. I always wonder what the hell people are thinking when they call it
"quaint" now!?!?
Wow very cool, everyone in Jupiter should see this. Indiantown sucks when all the snowbirds are here tho
i wish it was like that now
