This film is one of those who will be seen by the grandkids of today's kids and they will feel proud of this..just the same way we feel proud of Sholay..
With due respect to Sholay GoW is way better and bigger because of it's realism. If today's kids watch Sholay they'll definitely find it overdramatic because they think it's a Masala film. Granted Sholay was not a masala film at the time of it's release but all of masala films are derived from Sholay. But it's not the case with GoW, one can definitely enjoy this anytime. It's a timeless Masterpiece.
I don't even remember how many times I have watched both the part of movies... surprisingly I am watching making of movie too repeatedly (which itself is as long n good as another movie) ... Hats off Anurag and entire crew....
Indian movie industry dont yet know which movies to send to Oscars. America doesnt want to see a copy of their own kind of movie like Barfi! Barfi is literally an inspiration of so many American movies. They want something native and represents India like - GOW 1 and 2.
The fucking big stars just want their own movies to be sent. I am pretty sure the FFI committee is a fucking joke and a bunch of fucking losers who get money from these stars to send their movies. So even if by a miracle an Indian movie gets nominated or wins they want the big stars of Indian cinema out there in Hollywood. What a fucking joke of marketing.
Ankush Dixit GOW doesn't copy scenes from Godfather. It borrows basic plot lines. Barfi copies same exact scene from different of movies in the garb of homage.
Its truly fascinating how the whole crew of all wonderful artists, many many of those who don't ever come to light as they were just soo SOO manyy... All putting their love and life into making of something ETHERIAL.. All of them giving their wonderful support for the making of something containing years of dedication, emotions and pure piece of LIFE,.. ITS A TREAT TO WATCH THIS MAKING OF GOW... what a perfect movie, the perfect director , perfecting casting of actors and perfect story , wow. one of the best movies ever . loved it.
37:16 that's why 😉 this duo is iconic
kashyap sir, u will never realise that u have made a movie which goes beyond generations!!! it is something permanent.. THIS MOVIE WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN A BIHARI'S HEART!😇
one of the best direction...and nawaaz m a big fan of yours....keep doing always incredible acting...
Wow..!! Overwhelmed by the reactions of people appreciating the film.
This film's making video is a compulsory watch for GOW's fans.
Couldn't thank more to AK & team.
Thanks for the entire making video. These types of videos helps a lot of people for learning. Please upload more of making videos. Thanks once again.
The efforts in preparation of one scene is more than the whole shooting of a karan johar film.
Anurag kashyap is a visionary man and actors did pure justice.
There can't ba another film like this.
I also like this film because I live in wasseypur.
Indian cinema viewers are still not ready to accept this kind of finesse and direction. Masses still love glamour . 10 years down the line I am sure box office collection would be more
A huge fan of the movie especially part 2 which i have watched countless times.. Loved every second of this making.. but was really disappointed when they didnt talk about the entire sultan killing sequence which I feel is a masterpiece in direction and writing...
Every time i watch this, i get goosebumps.. It keeps me inspired to be part of movie making. Thanks for sharing.
Sneha Ji did an outstanding authentic and beautiful job. Respect.
This saga is so powerful that after watching it you even remember the non-introduced character....such powerful this saga is....
a five hour long story and another one and a half hour of making of that story..and u don't feel bored a bit..That's the magic of Gangs of Wasseypur
Shahid Khan was the real Rocky Bhai. 🤣🤣 But honestly, each and every person who's involved in this project in one way or another, is praiseworthy. Casting Director was spot on and if you have the best cast members, the outcome will surely be commendable. Truly a masterpiece.
The amount of talent in this particular documentary is something my mind cannot comprehend
No greater award in this world could ever prove the importance of this film. Gangs of Wasseypur is deep into anybody’s life. You simply cannot forget not even a scene, character or a dialogue or music or whatsoever. This is desirable for any movie lover.
Just amazing.. Everything in this movie is so perfect and raw.. Anurag and all his team just nailed everything..
I was fortunate enough to watch both of the movies in theatre.. lots of people missed it.. i still remember when gow2 was released it just had a week time to earn money cuz that shitty movie ek tha tiger was released and did more business than this world class movie.. we should Learn what movies to watch.. it should have earned 500 crores ..shame
Daniel sharma ...Sahi bola Bhai ek thaa tiger ek meaning less movie hai n gow1/2 ek mast story hai full entertainment hai

Anurag ji, this film is different from all your films, you are a great director, if this had released today in 2024, it would have destroyed everyone's budget, and totally the shows would have been housefull ✌️
No fuddu director with their billion ruppes budget can even come close to this masterpiece

i m not sure if this is just me, also I have not seen many bollywood movies, but this is the greatest bollywood movie(both parts combined) i have ever seen. Original, perfectly made, great acting, lovely songs and background music, brialliant narration. The way Anurag made everyone act is brilliant, TIgmanshu, Manoj, Nawaz, RIcha, Zeishan and Piyush Mishara's narration, all fit together perfectly. I would always regret not been able to watch this in theater.
No Nepotism... Just Real Talented Actors 👍👍👍👍
Legendary movie❤️ what an acting by each character🙏🏻 Hats-off🔥

Oh my god,
I think only comment is not enough to compliment this movie, i must say what a grand and Flawless suitable cast and crew, with extraordinary direction of Anurag sir,
This is impossible to direct Flawless a movie like wasseypur in this so small budget, with perfectly right and suitable actors, it seems like all the wasseypur actors made just for this movie

I watched both the parts in 2018, today (2024) I watched the making. Anurag you're a Maverick in Indian Cinema. This series deserves so much more love and accolades.
Anurag & team, this video was as engaging and gripping as the 2 parts. I wish more producers wake up to your tribe and we get to see more real cinema. I am your fan for life.
The best movie series of our generation. Mr.Anurag kashyap is the best and it's great to see someone who loves his craft and has the creativity which is honest and real. Thank you sir for giving us these great films.
Every actor who has performed in this movie now have their separate aura and fanbase. Anurag kashyap is such a legend.
Pankaj tripathi
Manoj bajpayee
Nawazuddin Siddiqui
Rajkumar rao
Jaydeep ahlawat
Watched the entire making ......tough and interesting job...not easy to handle everything
What a team, Anurag Kashyap is such a leader you can feel it in his words, such a long film, so many locations, huge star cast and special mention to Sneha Khanwalkar, Passion for music in its purest form.
Some great takeaways.
1.Shahid khan's fight
2.Slaughter house scene
3.Faisal jumping buildings. best long shot for sure
4.Definite, Shamshad chase
5.Body riddled with bullets climax.
pahalwan murder
Thank you Anurag sir Zeeshan quadri and whole team of gangs of wasseypur for this amazing movie of my life, I have watched this movie 28 times and every time it looks so interesting and I'm waiting for the third part which is writing by Zeeshan Quadri thanks all of you. Miss u Sohail.

This film is one of those who will be seen by the grandkids of today's kids and they will feel proud of this..just the same way we feel proud of Sholay..
exactly!!! it is the same legend as Sholay is....the diff is that, we are the viewer instead of our father!! :D
ch012 except Sholay was such a shit movie
With due respect to Sholay GoW is way better and bigger because of it's realism. If today's kids watch Sholay they'll definitely find it overdramatic because they think it's a Masala film. Granted Sholay was not a masala film at the time of it's release but all of masala films are derived from Sholay. But it's not the case with GoW, one can definitely enjoy this anytime. It's a timeless Masterpiece.
Sholay was shit
17:23 and a iconic scene was made.....
What a fucking joke of marketing.

bro but isn't GOW 1 inspired from godfather so basically your comment contradicts yourself
Ankush Dixit
GOW doesn't copy scenes from Godfather. It borrows basic plot lines.
Barfi copies same exact scene from different of movies in the garb of homage.
Gow is based on a real story. faisal khan's real name is fahem khan. and ramadhir singh's real name is surya dev singh.
An indian Original Masterpiece
One can learn filmmaking and direction by just watching this video.. so much of knowledge
