Simone and Cecil share some surprising news at their Mi Casa Es Su Casa Party. Determined to keep the romance going, Jackie enlists Simone and Heavenly to help her cook a meal for Curtis. Toya and Eugene visit the construction site of their new home where she discovers some unsettling news. The guys invite Greg to a men’s only outing, getting all the tea about what really went down when Quad moved out.

Realizing her baby is growing up, Mariah surprises Lauren with a wardrobe makeover. Simone and Cecil's romantic dinner date is ruined when issues from the past push Simone over the edge. Meanwhile, Jackie and Curtis struggle to compromise on a new home and a fresh start. Toya plans a wine tasting trip for the ladies that turns sour when lingering issues with Contessa come to a head and Mariah gets some scary news about Aydin's health.

Now, I'm not saying that Simone isn't right to feel the way she feels, but this conversation should have been had a long time ago, not on date night AFTER we've moved back in together. I don't think that Cecil was defending Tammy. I think he was more caught off-guard with the direction of their date-night conversation.

And of course she doesn’t want Cecil to have what she thought they had w/another woman, especially Tammy. It’s as if she’s forcing this reconciliation to make it so Cecil lets go of the idea of why emotional connection to Tammy or anyone for that matter. It’s a self serving move in Simone’s part imo. Also, keep in mind that Cecil doesn't work anymore. Dr. Simone doesn't want to pay any alimony checks.

Think about it, 2 seasons ago they were basking in 20 years of love with him being her ride or die, searching for her dad and giving solid advice to the others. I was just arguing with somebody about Toya being on her way out if she doesnt find something to do. When the group all gets together she is persistent with her antagonizing and making sure she gets camera time and its just exhausting at this point. PSA to the #FunkyBunch-It’s true tea that we need to do better as it relates to our health. My ass was walking around for MONTHS suffering with migraines on a daily basis and when I went to the doctor, I found out that I had cancer. Long story short, all is well now but it was quite an interesting journey!
Please go see a medical professional when you aren’t feeling right and let them run whatever necessary tests to properly diagnose you.

Octavia Dunbar -Hey love, PLEASE run to the doctor’s office. Pain and discomfort is the body’s way of letting us know that something is NOT right. However, WE (i.e. black women) tend to brush it off as everything else.
My ass was walking around talking about I need more water, more sleep, eat better, I’m stressed, etc. everything but going to the doctor seeing what the hell is up. It wasn’t until I damn scared a group of co workers by passing out TWICE and STILL refusing medical attention bc I truly thought that I was just overwhelmed with work and not eating properly. I finally went to the doctor to discover that I had stage 2 cancer. My doctor, mom, kids, and especially my boyfriend sat me down and went ALLLLLLL the way off on me. It was scary but like I said, I’m still here and done with treatment!

I agree 100% about Tammy. I have a male friend and when he decided to get into a serious relationship I fell back. Also our discussions changed when I realized my friend was in a committed relationship, when he would discuss things about his relationship I would sympathize with her and tell him what he needed to do to make her happy. That low key could be a very big possibility. I know my parents troubles started when the plant my father worked for for years closed and he was laid off. He took a long time figuring out his next move while my mother took the bulk of the load. She’s an extremely dedicated elementary teacher and spent a lot time focused on her work and my father spent a lot of time being idle which led to him having an affair twice. The first time they worked it out and the second time led to their divorce. But his unemployment was the beginning of the end because they were in two separate places.

Simone should seek personal counseling in addition to marriage counseling. She’s a heavy drinker, but they were smart enough to stop showing that on the show. The drinking may also contribute to her lashing out.

Did anyone notice how as soon as Cecil got fired in season 4 and took some money outta their joint account for that "City Kids" project that flopped, she hasn't been warm to him...👀👀 That is probably the time that Tammie became a thing of support in Cecil's life and they got closer because she has probably seen Cecil as" True Man"
