@@user-ff1ez5sy5h music is not just about notes and instruments. there are different kind of musical arts. For me i have to say, its not about whether or not AI music is good or bad. While its artistic integrity is definitely something to debate. For me its more about the purpose. Why would we aim humanity towards a future where the menial, necessary, and boring jobs are done by humans and all the fun creative hobbies and passions are being done by the computer software. Its like getting AI to play a game for you, or read a book for you. Or getting AI to play a sport for you while you just sit on the bench. What pleasure is being had there and what are you getting out of it. Also, the more common AI usage is in the art world, the more peoples jobs become unnecessary as AI can just do it for free and faster. So, what you essentially end up with is a world where everyones lives are being taken up by the stressful day to day jobs that we all have to do to get by and the AI is having all the fun? Where there's no creative career path to follow and you're born into an inevitability that your working life is going to be all stress and no stress release. One argument to be made is 'it gives everyone a chance to make music'. But it doesn't. If you want to make music that badly put the effort in and learn an instrument. Theres literally thousands to choose from. Why isnt there any apparent progression in using AI to aid medical treatments. Or care settings. Or banks, or shop work, or construction, or any work that is hazardous to humans. Why would we need something to do a hobbie for us when there is so much in the world that this sort of technology could actually be useful for. Also, side note. People didnt see electronic music and synthesizers as music back in the day thats true. But this is quintessentially not the same thing. To sit behind a synthesizer needs a person. To program a sequencer and decide what notes to be played requires a person. And to modulate effects and synth modules requires a person. Samples are played and arranged by a person. Compositions require human minds, emotions and thought. A synthesizer or electronic instrument is just that. An instrument that is played by human hands. Taking the human element away takes away the human purpose and brings us back round to the bleak, stressful, joyless world that i described earlier. So yeah, this album sounds good. But whats the point? Whats it bringing to society? Whose having fun here other than the thing that doesn't need to. The software?
Hello. You have touched on some good points. Frankly, I enjoy producing music through AI. I can create many different genres, try out instruments, discover musical genres, make mixes, write my own lyrics, compose, make remixes. This is a bit like reaching "nirvana" through meditations for many years or experiencing it through "lsd". These are the things that the age of speed brings, of course, and of course Baudrillard's theory of simulation and simularity is starting to prove itself a little more. Playing an instrument is certainly enjoyable. However, I love AI technologies. Because I direct it, work on it for hours, and sometimes I am the intelligence behind a song or a melody. I have a music group like this and I give them a song, a composition and I want them to play. This is what I do through AI. What did you say is the benefit of AI music? What percentage of the songs made by millions of musicians have a benefit? Most songs that have billions of views are garbage, but people listen to them. Here, I am at least trying to produce "quality" "authentic" music through AI. We should not oppose what is, we should turn it to our advantage. It's like saying that "theatre" is a real live performance, then "cinema" is artificial and fake, and there were discussions about this in the past, but now cinema is accepted as the seventh art. You may say, there are people in the cinema. What is a human being? We are here today and gone tomorrow. Mortal world... With love...
@zaruret Don't get me wrong. Art is art, and the purpose of art is to express oneself. But the fact that this is an artificial intelligence is where the concern lies for me. You said that 'sometimes' you are the intelligence behind the song or melody. I would argue that as a composer you should 'always' be the intelligence behind a composition. Or else where is the expression coming from the rest of the time. AI cannot express as it doesn't have the literal life experience to be able to do so. It can only imitate. You do actually make a good point when you say that you spend hours on it and compose through it. I suppose if I'm to be fair then I should say that I don't know enough about the process of using AI personally. However, New doesn't necessarily always mean good. The future isn't always positive. Progress is what we as a society should strive for. Whether that be in social change, arts and media, or any walk of life. How can it possibly be 'The Future', 'progress', or even simply 'new', when its entire function is to imitate and take something away from the people as opposed to give something or benefit in some way. Sure it's 'giving' music, but it has the real potential to take away jobs and careers from the musician. You can discover new genres of music through listening to the work of others. Others who did not imitate, and innovated genres of music. It's good that you can do this through AI, but the point I can't escape from is that it's not adding anything new to the world. Music is (obviously) already a thing and has been since the dawn of time. The discovery of new music is already a thing. Especially with the age of Spotify, iTunes, etc. Composers have been blending genres together to create new things again for thousands of years so that's already a thing. So, the only real addition to society that AI is adding in my view is, as I say, the potential to take jobs away from hard working musicians. Production techniques have evolved greatly over time. But to remove the producer entirely takes away the human element, and presents a very bleak future of quantity over quality. Which so many art forms suffer from already, as you said about the lack of quality but billions of views. I couldn't agree more. Surely we should be moving away from that reality and applying AI to the fields that need it. Medical research, hazardous work, things like that. We don't need software musicians because the world already has musicians. What we do need however, are technological innovations in other areas of society. The very concept of AI is incredible and could benefit so many things in the world. Music and art is not one of those things. It's doing ok on its own, and is evolving and progressing at a natural pace with the rest of humanity. It doesn't need a speed up or a quick fix. As they say, "it's about the journey, not the destination"

I think this band is not from 1977. It's a fake ...given the arrangements, the quality of the sound and the famous Charleston in the "trap" style did not exist at that time.
You’re correct, and it’s right in the description. It’s a fictional band from the 70’s. But Tangerine Dream was real, as was really early Pink Floyd. As the description says, just listen.
I love Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze but this is far away from it...different sound, not so epic..long sequencer phrases...less expressive..sorry to say that. I write this, while listening to "Spielglocken" from Klaus Schulze..try it and compare. Another quality. But anyway thanks for remind me, listen to the original..

Anybody have an idea where to find this album?
It's fake
Finde ich garnicht so schlecht
I don't understand.
Real or fake??

It's from 1977
@@jaynebolsover7705 ist das wahr?🤷🏻♂️😊
Yes it’s true. So therefore not AI generated as the previous comment suggests.
Perhaps that could be Ralf Hütters ultimate dream. Set the parameters, press go and let the machines write and perform their own music while you tinker with your bike!
В те годы (70-е) она бы прозвучала.
Интересно, а ИИ может делать, хоть бы и с помощью человека, музыку НОВУЮ?
:-))))))))))))))))))))))) super
I think this band is not from 1977. It's a fake ...given the arrangements, the quality of the sound and the famous Charleston in the "trap" style did not exist at that time.
Kosmosphär were visionaries, truly ahead of their time.
Nadie los comprendió muy bien en ese entonces....😂😂😂😂
Chris, clearly you were NOT kicking around Planet Earth during that Time. I was.
Hello from New Zealand.

You’re correct, and it’s right in the description. It’s a fictional band from the 70’s. But Tangerine Dream was real, as was really early Pink Floyd. As the description says, just listen.
Fake!?
The music is fine.
It's the disinformative presentation that understandably bugs people.
From a collectors viewpoint the chances of finding original 1977 vinyl of Kosmosphär's Kosmische Wellen have become vanishingly rare.

I know, man.
It's almost like it has never existed... 🤯
This should be released on vinyl
