Thumbs up for sure . . . I love these, and the tutorial was so easy to follow. I like both sizes as it would depend on my use. Great for my jewelry tools that I haven't used yet. (Ha! I want I want, but I need to USE!) . . . I've seen people make hand-made journals and they have a tasselly-beady attachment at the top of the outside of the journal to make it just lovely - I can see these being used that way for sure! Thanks as always Nina.
Pure gorgeousness, they are all fabulous and I couldn't choose between them. And if you didn't have any beads you could always buy a necklace or bracelet from the charity shop and use those. Tfs xo
These little tassels are adorable! At first I thought I wouldn't make them, but you made the wire part look so easy that I may just have to give it a try! Thanks for sharing! xxoo
A lovely project that will be quick and simple. You must have a great range if beads as the colour coordination is wonderful. Thanks again Nina for sharing and inspiring us. Maggie Mae
These are very cool, I have not done any crafy things in a while, but this is something I think I may actually be able to sit at the sofa and do on the arm of the sofa and get a few done..... I like these Nina. TFS.
Oh my these are so cute!! Paper beads and handmade beads would be cool to use. And making them with painty papers would be pretty too!! I wonder if baby wipe strips would work? This is going to be fun to experiment with!! These are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!!
Thank you so much. I made more of these just before Christmas to hang on the tree and they are gorgeous. Here is the link to the video if you are interested: th-cam.com/video/gUFpN-GA5sM/w-d-xo.html 💕
They look really pretty 😊...I like them all,but the dinky one my fave...cos it is dinky and love the lantern bead....think that was what you called it,and the little flowers 😊X
Hi Nina, This is a nice craft and artsy project. I can see it being used bookmark in handmade journals. I am thinking of attaching at the bottom of the binding, so it will be out of the way when working in your journal; and it can be utilized as a page marker by pulling up between pages with the extra end length (of any fiber, ribbon, string, fiber, or thin chain) with the tassel hanging from the top of the binding over the edge being decorative on your shelf. This would be a nice way to display your journals, and have them available to enjoy and share. With copic stitching, you can change the order of stitching so this tassel is your starting point. I would have this start on the inside sewing to the outside, while you would leave extra length with the tassel. That way the tassel would hang over the top of the binding again, but would be out of the way when working in the journal. When returning back to the top with the stitching you can tie it off on the inside, or you could hang the end over the top again with either another tassel or a bead/string of beads as you desire. This could be repeated with each signature, or all the signatures you have for that journal. My other thought is using a "used/colorful" baby wipe cut in half and used end to end as your paper for the tassel. Oh, maybe with a strip of Tyvek. Could you cut a thin strip of Tyvek and make a ruffled ribbon heating it? Then use this ruffle to wrap around the top about three times. (I have not done any of the Tyvek stuff you have, but can visualize it as a possibility. I would think it cut and hang well just as a painted fabric for the tassel itself.) I guess you can tell my brain cells are spinning with how to utilize these lovelies.
This is the best tutorial on tassels I have seen. I always wanted to try these but couldn't find an easy tutorial but thanks to you nina now I can make some. Thank you so much for sharing x
