    Another fantastic road in Norway!! Yes, it wasn't perfect, but the views were worth the effort. Each and every turn gave you a new vista to look at, and the majesty of the mountains made it even better. I'm so glad I am just a passenger in the camera looking at what you drove. Your nerves of steel (and experience) made it look easy, although no descent is that easy. Thank you for following your sense of adventure and showing us what you got to experience. Laterz!! 📸😲👍🤗💕🐸

    I used to get the coach from Stavanger to Lysebotn. Yes, no problem for coaches on that road! Then the joys of renting a kayak on Lysefjorden for a few hours. Also a good stop on the way home was the cafe at Byrkjedal.

    Excellent work guys! This is pure gold in it's purest form .9999! The way this work of art came full circle at the end was a plethora of cinematic genius! The ups the downs... Just, an amazing piece! Keep up the excellent work and absolutely can not wait until the next adventure!

    Not very good road but scenary and beatifull. Norway is a very very
    beatifull country full of great people as Spain is. I prefer highways , “autovías”
    personally. Thank you very much for recording editing and uploading this video
    and all the work you do . Muchas gracias y vuelve pronto por España.

    Can I asc if it is possible to go with a camping car 7 meters long and 3 meters high?
    Thanks

    • @EuropeanRoads
      @EuropeanRoads  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, there are no weight, length or height restrictions on this road. Even trucks travel it. The tunnel has a 4 meter height clearance.

    Thank you so much for this video. At least virtually I could experience this amazing scenery. Are bicycles allowed on this road? I'd love to ride it on my touring bike but I wonder if I would be allowed into the tunnel. In this fjord the Pulpit Rock is, right? I envy you that you can travel so much. Are you a professional driver? Best wishes!

    • @EuropeanRoads
      @EuropeanRoads  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Pulpit Rock is on this fjord, approximately 30 kilometers west of this video. I think you can cycle this road. Cyclists are often banned in tunnels with higher traffic volumes, and in some cases there is no local alternative. As you can see these tunnels are very dark so you need some good lights on the bike.

      @@EuropeanRoads Thank you very much. Of course I will have strong head and back lights and even a safety vest when in tunnel.

    very beautiful drive. I don't think there is anything similar to Norway in North America. Part of Quebec are perhaps a little bit similar, but nothing to the scale of this.

    • @EuropeanRoads
      @EuropeanRoads  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Some parts of British Columbia seemed similar to Norway to me. The Canadian Rockies are a bit higher but the valleys look fairly similar. I think the rugged parts of Newfoundland may also be similar to Norway.

    • @AsphaltPlanet1
      @AsphaltPlanet1 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, actually, the western part of Newfoundland around Gros Morn is probably somewhat comparable.

      @@EuropeanRoads Can confirm, I live in Haugesund in Rogaland - I have people I know from Newfoundland say that some of the coastal landscape around where I live is pretty similar, as it's mostly hilly, rocky coastal landscape.

      The north shore of Lake Superior in Minnesota and Ontario is somewhat similar. Jagged cliffs and bluffs surrounded by forests.

    I have a question; how do you find these roads? Like, do you put some research on it or you pull out your camera when you feel like it? Beautifull video btw

    • @EuropeanRoads
      @EuropeanRoads  6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I usually browse Google Earth for scenic roads in the area I'm planning to visit. I often plan to travel certain roads in a specific direction (i.e. not going into the sun). I also only film the stretches I really want to capture, it's not a dashcam that is running for thousands of kilometers. It takes some effort to get a good shot, I have a blanket across the dashboard to keep the reflection away and I want to keep the windshield clean (which is difficult in some areas!)
