SHARPS OF MELBOURNE - 2024 Sharpie Reunion & Celebration

- Past Sharpies from both the 1960s and 1970s eras along with enthusiasts interested in the Sharpie subculture gathered for a 6 hour reunion and celebration of our youth. The great band Einsteins Toyboys provided us with the soundtrack of our time, along with displays and books on offer to really make this a memorable occasion. Many there were meeting again for the first time in 50 years, others were meeting in person for the first time after years chatting on the Facebook group SHARPIES (Sharps) of Melbourne, a 1960s + 1970s subculture. Old gang rivalries were put aside as we became united under the one roof. This event turned out to be something really special to so many people.
I was never a Sharp but I went to school with a few! I am on the sharpie pages and I love the closeness and I always admired it from my angle. My Sharpie mates always looked after me even though I was a long haired lout. lol I miss those fellas that helped me through my school days but I was always there for them too. Respect was earned and given. This video was awesome to watch and to see people together for a gathering who used to probably punch each other is a pretty special thing to see. I live on the Central Coast of NSW now and I knew of this gathering and I really am spewing I didnt come down for it now. Some hot chics there and some cool blokes rockin out hard. Never change people cos watching this video made my day.
Well said mate, and yes it was a fantastic day which has had a positive follow-on effect for many who attended.
I probably belted some of these blokes back in the 70's, good time, age the great leveler.
