Considering you had to imagine a live audience, this performance is utterly outstanding. Thank you ladies for entertaining us in a miserable lockdown world!
I seen this Dea Matrona show when it was first was posted. It shows me again how Mamie is a very talented musician and what she brought to the band Mamie was a great fit and now a great loss for Orlaith and Mollie. 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥 🥁 🎸 🎸
I was wondering what was wrong with the audience, why aren't they cheering and clapping for this amazingly talented band, until I realized there wasn't one
Just love listening to way these girls play and sing. Who said classic rock was dead these girls rock to they drop brilliant music from a brilliant band.
OMFG! Absolutely amazing! Sat here watching this, mouth literally agog, lol. The fact that Mollie and Orlaith are both equally skilled in both guitar and bass, is even more impressive. Not to mention the fact Mamie nails it with her drumming skills! Look forward to hearing more in the future. Shameless Request - Delirious by ZZ-Top. ;)
Omg, Helloo from South Carolina! Y'all are so talented! Im no PR man, but it seems to me Dea Matrona could use a marketing campaign. Get these songs out there. Make You My Star. Stamp On It. Nobody's Child is just a few. Dont stop no matter what.
Should be made compulsory viewing on national television ... BBC money would be better spent showcasing these young ladies than on the 'celebrity' drivel they televise.
We gave up broadcast TV, including cable and satellite, about 7 years ago, and don't miss it _at all._ I mostly I stick to YT, though we have Netflix and Amazon prime for movies, but rarely bother with TV series. The last drama series I watched in its entirety was Breaking Bad. Neither Ozarks nor Stranger Things were compelling enough to keep my attention for more than a few episodes.
These girls have a realness that you can't buy or manufacture or make up. They have a chemistry that is extremely rare, I mean one in a thousand bands rare. Those two girls compliment each other so well it's damn near supernatural. Their originals are so solid it's downright impressive. The drummer fits perfectly and is just off the chain cool.
They bring back the early days of the British Invasion - no lip syncing, no wireless instruments with a soundrack playing behind them. They actually play. And they play well.
Every new video of these girls and you can hear the improvement in their performance and their stage presentation. Keep it up girls and the sky will be the limit for you three.
Compelled to add a comment but there's nothing to say that hasn't been said below. Rock and roll is a feeling and they capture its spirit with natural artistry. Beautiful Irish girls, north and south, are taking TH-cam and conquering all comers.
There's no justice in the world right now...when these extraordinarily talented girls finish a piece, it *should* be followed by thunderous applause from a live audience. This continuous feedback is _vital_ to artists, in order of importance: It lets them gauge just how good a job they're doing in communicating with their audience. I'm just an American dummy with zero musical talent myself, but I know I love great music and it vexes me that I can't communicate my appreciation of it directly to the artists. Besides, plenty of real musicians have told me the same, so I know it's not just conjecture on my part. It's hugely important for the audience to be able to howl, clap, and otherwise show their raw emotional reaction to the musicians' skill and love of their craft. It's kind of a cathartic release, involving goodness knows what in psychological and endorphin benefits to them. Last priority, it's a bit of an ego boost for the artists. Everybody needs a little 'attagirl' or 'attaboy' feedback; it buoys them and keeps the dynamic wheel of the event spinning. When I say 'should,' I mean *SHOULD.* It's not my intent to drop a controversy bomb in this comment, or detail why I've been convinced over the past year that these lockdowns have nothing to do with anyone's health but EVERYTHING to do with power/control grabs that only benefit politicians, bureaucrats, and every minor little weasel on the planet looking to scratch their itch to push people around, but there it is. If musicians AND their fans simply ignored the creeps and simply reclaimed their natural inclination perform and attend these live events, there ain't much the wannabe dictators could do about it...they're outnumbered by about a thousand or more to one. No drama, threats, or violence needed (or wanted), they'd just be swept into the trash pile of history by vast numbers of people asserting their humanity. Awesome show, Orláith, Mamie, and Mollie...you ladies are marvelous!
Well said brother everything you said was spot on including the political rant. My view on that side is we have to suffer the side effects of a few mad scientists conducting frankinstine experiments with no not a clue what the happening if it went wrong. Well it did and they gave the human race covid and nobody was brought to book! Just got buried under a rash of hastily turned out vaccines
I have seen Dea Matrona on TH-cam where they are busking. Here they are playing a set to a 'virtual audience'. Wow. You can see and hear how they feed off one another. I really hope they make it because they deserve wider recognition.
Just watched this show for the 5th time but this time with my headphones on and the volume cranked way up. Wow. It's a complete performance folks with 3 excellent musicians, great individual voices, seamless harmonies and a well chosen and tight set list, most of which were their own original songs. Even the way they swap guitars periodically makes them somewhat unique. What's next?
Every day during lockdown I have brightened my day listening to Dea Matrona. Brilliant musicians - I love the "purity" of their style and sound and the sheer enthusiasm they display when performing. Can't wait to see them perform live and for their first full album!
What a breath of fresh air to the music scene pure classic rock at its best it’s a pity the youngsters of today don’t appreciate rock music at its best by a group that can play and sing live unlike the manufactured drivel that’s on or radios today. Keep it up girls the sky’s the limit for you. Surely a mega record deal must be on the horizon. After the pandemic get yourselves over to America where you will be better appreciated by the youth over there. Hope to catch youse in Scotland in the near future.
Amazing girls, keeping the spirit of Rory Gallagher alive. Once the pandemic is finally over I hope to see you touring the UK. Get yourselves on Planet Rock for global coverage 🤘🎸🥁🎸❤
the drummer was so so so super cute, & the lady in the right side, the guitarist was so beautiful. liked shared & subscribed, a fan in the Philippines.
I only came across these dudes last night. Outstanding musicians. I hear and see so many influences from acts that I like. I hear a lot of ZZ Top vibe and also hear Corrs style harmonies. Truly impressive stuff and they only live eight miles away from my house!
We hope you enjoyed the performance and we would love to hear your thoughts below!
Outstanding
Loved every minute! outstanding band, beautiful girls. great show thanks.
Talented ladies!
discovered the band only now on TH-cam. great sound, super performance and especially three very pretty girls. Greetings from Germany
If it was the 70's/80's these girls would be signed to a major label and dominating the charts. Modern music is a disgrace.
Modern what?
I love watching the music videos with Mamie on drums🥁.
I sure miss Mamie as part of the
Dea Matrona band.☹️
The more you listen to this young band the more you realise just how good they are. The bonus is.......... the three of them are drop dead gorgeous.
Well of course, there from Ireland
@@harvdog5669 they're
Secretly agreed
These girls are seriously good musicians. Fantastic

I agree with you 💯 👍
The two young ladies on the front are great, good voices, good playing. And the drummer, man, she's a rythm machine!
I do like the drums, and if you want more, check out Sina, possibly Sinna she is class.... plays all the classics and some NEW stuff!!!!
EEeerrr no. She's like Meg White.
I was wondering what was wrong with the audience, why aren't they cheering and clapping for this amazingly talented band, until I realized there wasn't one
WOAH - no autotune, no synthetic shit - just pure music - thank you babes
These girls are terrific!❤❤❤
Just love listening to way these girls play and sing. Who said classic rock was dead these girls rock to they drop brilliant music from a brilliant band.
Nobody. Nobody said classic rock is dead..
OMG, just ?CLASS
Looking forward to your first UK tour. Along with countless others I would pay good money to see you all perform you are that good.
The drummer and the energy she exudes.😊
I LOVE Dea Matrona
Great to see young people playing old school rock and introducing it to a whole new generation. 👍
They get better all the time. The drummer especially has come a long way. Good solid rock & roll

I like how they exchange guitars.

Fabulous version of Whole lotta love.

Remember me Grand Funk Railroad, but they are so talented, great musicians. Bleesings from Guatemala.
These girls are great performers
All 3 girls are so gorgeous but I have a real special affection for Mamie. She is perfect at her drumming and looks to thoroughly enjoy herself.
Keep track of these ladies, they will be going places. We will be saying I saw them way back in 2021. Mark in Boise, Idaho USA
Should be made compulsory viewing on national television ... BBC money would be better spent showcasing these young ladies than on the 'celebrity' drivel they televise.
Graham Norton should latch on to these.... Fantastic LIVE entertainment...
Spot on, ever time I hear the word Celebrity on tv I switch it off. These girls are what we want , they can play, they sound and look awesome.
That might be ITV.....
@@mickwall1286 ??? Graham Norton is on BBC1

That drumer gal is absolutely lovely ! What a kitty ! 🐹
The drummer is Molly's little sister. There is a strong resemblance in their facial structure. They're both beautiful as is Orlaith.
They bring back the early days of the British Invasion - no lip syncing, no wireless instruments with a soundrack playing behind them. They actually play. And they play well.
They really do!!!
Are you talking about miming?
Every new video of these girls and you can hear the improvement in their performance and their stage presentation. Keep it up girls and the sky will be the limit for you three.
Three great musicians who make a really good band. Would love to see them live.
Oh Paranoid, how wonderful to hear this favorite. Keep on rocking girls.

Let's hope the stick together. A Lot of talent. Keep On Rockin in the Free World

Mamie is cool.
wow excellent!, simple but rock! I love the drumer, so cute.
brilliant, real music unlike the shit in the charts
These ladies deserve riches and fame. Alas, not in my power to bestow. Keep the passion in your hearts!
You girls are great! Very entertaining! Oh please learn some Rush! You got the voice and talent!!

True about artists needing audience feedback, the rest of that blather you typed is absolute rubbish. Get lost creep

Well intentioned, but maybe you should have posted Ireland and the UK. Your post maybe insensitive.
