Thank you for your generosity! Your lessons are soooooo helpful. Some of us, wanting to learn to play the fiddle, live great distances from teachers. You have made it possible for us to improve and to learn new musical skills. Thank you!!!
@@fiddl3hed UPDATE: I am now about 6 weeks in i had been wanting to learn Seminole wind but never found any good tutorials so i worked it out by ear. Could you maybe do a lesson on it so i can see how close i am or if i am way off.
Thank you so much for these lessons! I am 61 yrs old and i'm doing really well, I must be, as my dog has stopped howling when i practice! I have a question about this tune. When you play it in A, my old brain, per your excellent instruction, tells me you are playing it in E. If you were playing it in A, wouldn't you start on the G1 instead of D1? Many thanks!
It may be obvious to others why playing in the key of D starts this tune on the A string, but it's not to me. Maybe you mentioned this. I've been following you for a year or more but haven't yet picked up on exactly what makes a tune "in the key of..." Interesting tho.
hey I have been in love with this traditional ballad called Over the hills and far away. There is a woman who plays it as a solo fiddle, but she does not add any notes for fingers like you do. I was wondering could you do a lesson for it, or at the very least email me the finger notes?
Zachary, I'll put this on my request list. It is fairly long and since this is a free channel, I tend to do tunes that have multiple requests. If you can, record it and slow it down and then try to follow by ear. Good luck!
Zachary Shaw, did you know we have a FiddleHed Facebook page? There is a request event going on there this week. Go there, look for the post about the request event and list Over the Hills and Far Away. If it is in the top five, it might be the next video.
Hey Jason, my Brother passed away last Saturday April 16 2016, and i sure would love to get fiddle tabs for "go rest hi on the mountain" by Vince Gill, beginner or advanced it doesnt matter, i dont know if they even exists for that song, but i knew that if anyone would know, it would be you, i know your very busy but if you could help, it would be greatly appreciated, Barry C.
Barry, hope time has helped you deal with the loss of your brother. That is about the only thing that does. Did you know we have a FiddleHed Facebook page?
