It was a great time out there! always a great time fishing with uncle and my good friend Ronnie! Give a thumbs up if you like the video! Ill be trying to land another halibut soon! - Rodney
Rodney Bro, dope video! I respect the respect you have for the fishing game. Me, my dad and bro were just out there in SD visiting from sacramento. We stayed right there at the Dana hotel, and took a private charter out of the marina there. Caught my first "Hali" ever, it was a dope experience! But my 1st love is them trout!! Thinkin of makin another trip out there to do some trout fishing. I see some of those monster trouts you catch out there! Keep doing your thing with these fishing videos bruh! God, family, and fishing!!!! ;)
Thanks man. love the positive vibes! stoked you were able to land a halibut while you were here. Trout is also another good species to land. next time youre down here, try lake poway or dixon lake during the winter time. MONSTER trout
Although I love watching you catch bass and other fish.. I love your halibut vlogs, as they are pretty elusive but you make it seem so easy. Your tutorials, along with humor makes your vlogs entertaining!
Hey Rodney! I just caught my first spotty at San Diego Bay near the spot you told me to go using the drop shot with chartruse mullet bait by Berkeley! I casted out on my first cast and let it hit bottom. Then I jigged up twice and on the drop it got nailed! BOOM! Took me a few mins to bring it in and my drag was screaming on the trout pole and 4 pound test! I got it in and it was 16 inches! My first one was a giant! I let it swim free and kept on fishing the dropshot. Thanks so much for the tips man! Tight lines! :O
Yeah! But how would I send it? Do you got an email? I don't have Instagram. :0 Add me as a contact on TH-cam. youtu.be/addme/1Rb1MPpyOV0ZQwdJiMdTNPQlswVWAg
Really enjoy your videos! My wife is from SD, Mission Bay area. Live in Kansas now. We miss it every winter. Keep up the videos. I get to see the harbor, Mission Bay and SD river. It's great.
Ever toss plastics at the flatties like zoom flukes, big hammer swim baits etc. they also make "the glove" designed for gripping slimy fish like flatties
Hey bro I know in all your videos you say to do the drop shot rig with bait 6-10 inches from the weight. Is it just camera maybe cause it always looks like yours is 12-15” from the weight. It’s probably just because it’s on video but I figured I would ask. Thanks
Great video Rodney. Always like your videos. Just a question What kind fish finder are you guys using? I’m looking to get one sometime in the future for my boat and also the net you guys using. in advance thank you!
damn i wish i could fish with you and learn how to fish for bass and hali the right way. ive tried all the ways ive been told about and from watching your vids and i still cant seem to catch them. only thing i catch are mackrel and rays. keep up the vids man . maybe one day ill catch one.
Hey I’ve been fishing on the bay with my kayak for a good while now and I have zero luck I love your videos and tried your drop shot techniques. Do you have any advice like location or time of day???
Rodney, great video. I fish for Halibut as well. Usually at the end of the jetty. Your first lure was a lizard fish plastic. I have looked at several different websites and cannot find them. What was it called, and if you don’t mind sharing, where did you get them? Also, can you get live lizard fish at the bait barge? I must say, one of the best videos I have seen .........
Rodney's Fishing Adventure dude thanks!!! Is there a certain time of the year or tide? Ima try harbor island this weekend just for kicks! Thanks once again
Another awesome video Rodney I would like the bass fishing at Santee Lakes they are starting to spawn and there some big ones I pulled a 6 pounder out of there a week ago
Rodney's Fishing Adventure yes yes it is what baits I’ve been using to catch them we’re jigs, craws, tubes and night crawlers all you need to do is make them mad
Great catches dude. I tried to get in on that dolphin halibut tournament, didn't catch any hali's but sever nice sized Calicos. Sweet MBC hat dude, you should try pacific islander beer co in santee. Good island themed beers !!!
