I love how you portrait an Armin that’s logical and strategically smart like canon in the original show (How he acted out to fool Eren that listener will be back in short, providing the assurance that allows a human to act more reckless and make themself more vulnerable even in enemy’s territory) but then showed how he’s so flawed in reasoning when it comes to listener (Quickly jumped to eliminate Eren as he believed that listener viewed Eren as a threat just like he does. In reality it’s just delusional and blinding + Overall how desperate he is over listener’s existence, like he absolutely, genuinely worships them). This just overall is a good and reasonable alternative of Armin when he posses those psychopathic traits that’s not shown to us in original show. I theorized Armin in the show could be a terrifying smart psychopath if he ever gets the elements and time to develop, and you just showed it very perfectly with your story and interpretation. I really love it, it was so well done 👏 You kept Armin’s original traits like collective, logical, generally a gentle and vulnerable soul inside (His strong devotion and love for listener, his treating with the plants, another thing that he possess the ability to care for just after listener) and perform well with the elements of “what-if?” hehehe. I truly like your work. I especially love this episode, too because this is the closet to Armin we’ve ever been. This is when he has to secret to hide, so he’s being completely real with us. And the shakiness, frustration, and desperation in his voice when he has to explain his strong devotion to listener again when they said he’d hurt them is so genuine 13:52 - 14:10. God dammit this is truly good acting. I do truly feel like Armin has been sincere of this. This is the lowest we’ve seen him for, too. Even when things frustrate him and all go out of control like this I’m surprised he’s still unconsciously pretty blindly cares for listeners like this 14:18 It’s endearing. He’s tired, he’s well fed, but he kept his composure well and not lash out at listener. It really just shows his genuine love, tbh. I truly feel he’s selfless for this, not really selfish. Yes, selfish for wanting to keep listener to his side, but is it really if the core reason is for their safety, happiness and well-being? It’s like that’s all he ever care about, honestly since the beginning. He cares and values about listener’s existence more over his own. Yandere Armin doesn’t give me this overly obsession for love, it’s more like he prays for the person’s happiness more than reciprocated feelings. I love this series so much. Hope it continues 💗
