Nice video, On the 2:00 minute mark of this video you were testing the voltage coming out of the board ad it was about 2 volts and dropping which determined the board was bad, what was the voltage after the repair? (on Terminals A-- and A+) Thanks!
Good work. I'll share this I learned, mine had both Control Bd and Motor problems, perhaps related. A bad motor may cause the bd to overheat leading to early death. I replaced the motor and still wont work, so I just rigged a cheap dc spd controller on it and it works now. Motor test using dc battery is very basic, mine ran too with it, but one of the rotor coil (measured by ohming the opposing contact pads) was bad. Symptom NOISY, overheat, draws too much current. Wouldve been better to buy another treadmill than replace motor and cntl bd. It was a Proform, but NT similar.
I would suggest to recoil your treadmill motor but that’s a lot of time to consume. You were right, bad motor causing the board to working harder or overheating and that’s what happened to this treadmill it starts from the motor.but Since when I fixed this treadmill until now is still running good even though we using it 3x a week.anyway thanks for the comments and sharing some of your knowledge and I learned about it.
@@weecanduweet1096 Thanks for your video man. I searched hard for this topic. Ny 2hp motor had melted insulation floating inside, but still spun-up. A new motor was $250 w/shipping, repair cntrl bd was $200. Might as well buy a new or find good used mill on craigslist. 😝
What I did so I can fix the control board was I troubleshoot all the resistor coming from the main supply(HV) that regulate into 5v who supply all the small IC’s. I hope you still can fix your control board. Voltage drop test is very helpful to me in this video that’s why I found the problem. When I do the voltage drop I found out there’s no 5v supply to those small IC’s that supposed to. Thanks for sharing this. I have a treadmill that the motor can, at times be easily stalled. Typically after running for a while or at low speeds. Can this be the motor controller or more likely weak Permanent Magnets in the DC motor?
I wasn’t really pay attention on that blue wire when I was fixing it because it’s not related to the problem but what I can remember is that blue wire is a AC Line ,from input AC goin to the motor and going back to main board. If I’m not mistaken that’s the thermal sensor for the motor it goin shutdown when it reaches over temperature the DC MOTOR
Hi, I just watched your video and it is helpful. I am in process to diagnose the problem with my SOLE F63 treadmill. I used last spring and after that I did I didn’t use it. The power was connected to the machine all the time just safety key was removed. In this machine when safety key is removed the display won’t turn on. I went this week tried to put safety key but no display. I am not sure its problem with board or display. I opened the motor cover looked at it there is green led that lights up when the power is on. But no display. I am not sure if any moisture in the basement air caused it or may be power was on all the time caused it. I have little video that I can share with you to get your opinion. Nice work! I wish I knew as much about this stuff as you do! I'm currently trying to fix my mc2100lts-30. Whenever I got start on the treadmill the motor would try to run at full speed for a half second before shutting down. Supposedly it's a problem with the MOSFET IRFP250N. I'm about to replace it and see what happens.
Hi Bro Very nice video. My treadmill Nordictrack T14.0 is having problem - relatively new, only 2 .5 years old. I wonder if it relate to the motor controller problem. 1, Initially the TM worked well for approx 15 minutes; then the walking belt (I didnt realize) move to the right and the TM stopped, re-start, loading the menu on the console and ready. 2. I tried to start again manually but the TM immediately stop and trips the breaker or blown the 13A fuse in the power cord, every time I start (manual start). Seem the motor withdraw very high current. Practically the belt does not move or move very little (mm). 3. I have aligned the belt, lubricate and reduce the tension of the belt but no success. Same happened. 4. The incline function is working well. No problem to up and down to maximum (12 deg.) 5. No problem on the other console functions. However, every time i start, the TM immediately stop and trip the breaker or blown the fuse. 6. There's very small movement (fraction of second) before immediately blew the fuse. Seem like the belt stuck. However, I can easily move the belt by rotating the motor pully. 7. I removed the drive belt from motor pulley. The problem still happen - blew the fuse but I can see that the motor pulley rotates for few seconds. Is there anyway to identify what part is exactly making problem? TIA
I wonder if it’s bcoz of the mechanical that something is tight. To determine if it’s either belt is the problem or the motor reason why the fuse is blown is try to detach the supply line goin to the drive motor and observe if it still the fuse will blow

it could be bad windings of motor or weak power supply. T
