It's actually motivating (for us newbies) to know that even more established artists don't have an amazing successful show every time. me, pointing at my table: THERE I AM GARY THERE I AM!!! I didn't make back all of my expenses sadly. And with my artwork getting rained on from a leak, I won't be coming back to any of their events. As a Monster High artist, even I was struggling at this con. The creator of the dolls was there, so that's mainly why they were pushing Monster High so heavily. They also just came out with the G3 reboot last October!! So it's definitely having a resurgence.

It’s the Tombow Fudenosuke Calligraphy pen! They come in a pack of 2, with one pen having a softer nib and another with a hard nib to get varying line weights! They are amaaaaazing for line art and I wouldn’t use any other pens!💖
I sell Monster High prints. They sell like hotcakes every time! I recommend drawing classic Draculaura, people say they don't like the new look. I don't watch the show at all but I have a step daughter who did.
I think it's because the dates were too close to Mega this year and people were saving $$ for Megacon instead :/ Wishing you big $$ at Megacon~ I love the vlogs, I'm tired of seeing only California based artists do them so it's so nice to see your perspective as some cons I do overlap with one you do.
Thank you so much!! I know it’s a late response but MegaCon was amazing! I can’t wait to edit the vlog for it soon 🩷 and I agree too, honestly should’ve realized it since Mega happened much earlier in the year!
Monster High got a reboot and are really sought-after now due to the new dolls + new collector dolls being made in the old style. There is also a new animated show by Nickelodeon that is creating more eyes on it and a live action movie series as well. Old fans + new fans are making it relevant again. I haven't gone to too many conventions since its resurgence but at every one since then I have seen MH cosplayers. It helps that the outfits are easy to replicate + Hot Topic and other fashion brands are making some of the shoes and other merch based on it.
I feel conventions in general havnt been to good as of late I'm a vendor here in Texas and alot of shows were barely even profiting and organizers just keep raising booth prices as well as increasing the amount of vendors/artist they have thinking that will make their show better when really just just making more competition between everyone
For your straw hats prints (the ones with the boba's drinks), are you planning to sell the big prints on your shop anytime soon? I would love to buy the Sanji and Zoro one. If your decide not to that okay cause I will still happily buy the mini ones. I love your art so much that I will happily buy your stuff at any size. I am also planning on meeting some of the voice actors from one piece, since some are coming down to the state I live in June for a con and the main ones I want to get signatures from are Zoro, Sanji, Franky, and Buggy. So I want to at least get your zoro and sanji prints for them to sign and I want them to sign on your art because it perfect. Also I'm sorry this con wasn't so great this year ❤. I hate finding out artist and vendors not doing to well at a con. I want you guys to make all profit ❤❤.

It’s pretty much the same here in Florida 😩 and there are a lot of smaller cons around the state too so even MORE competition with that too!!
