Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I had an Aris (by Walker Bay) 11' inflatable which I stored indoors all of the time. My last local excursion, the seams gave way and Walker Bay didn't stand by their product. I have cancer and this normally wouldn't come into play except how safe do I feel going out in my kayak, even if I fixed it, since WB claims the seams failed due to age. Makes me mad when a company doesn't want to support their product. Walker Bay has made kayaks and stopped.....then began again making them, and now they do not. Again, with this pattern, they don't really care about their customer. Please STAY AWAY FROM WALKER BAY. I will look into what you have with the motor. I don't care to sail. Thanks again. Galen
We definitely stand behind our products, so much so that we offer a 120 day return policy and all our boats come with a 3 year warranty that can even be upgraded to a 6 year warranty. We hope you go with this if its the best one for you. Let us know if you have any questions. Cheers!
Good question. It has a tether that runs from one side of the boat, through the center of the quiksail, then back to the other side of the kayak. You press your feet against the base of the rods to hold it in place and keep it from falling forward from the wind 👍
When fully loaded the paddleski is hard to steer straight. So I added a rudder to the shaft of the trolling motor to see if it improves the tracking. I suspect that a lighter load will help too. Will report back once I trying it out.
This boat will perform best with the bulk of the weight in the rear of the boat. Definitely let us know when you try it out. You can even glue on skegs or fins to the bottom for even more control. Let us know! Cheers
The amount of time you get on the water completely depends on the speed you are going. In this case I was out on the water for a few hours however at full speed with this battery and motor combo you will get around 40 minutes of use. Motoring slower dramatically lengthens that time. For longer days on the water we recommend 60AH battery or more. This battery is a great back up and perfect for shorter trips.
With the Watersnake Venom 34 you can expect 1 hr runtime per 20 AH @ full speed. So at half speed you'll get 2 hrs or more of runtime. Thank you for watching. We truly appreciate you and hope you'll consider subscribing to Sea Eagle Boats TH-cam Channel for more informative videos and new product releases to come!
Good question! We do sell a side motormount for our kayaks but it is rated for up to a 34lb thrust electric motor - www.seaeagle.com/Accessories/motormounts/motormount-for-fasttrack-explorer
@@SeaEagleBoats Thanks! I ordered the 36lb and the Sea Eagle mount. Can’t wait to try it on the water. Was hoping there was a way to support the 55 because the 55 is practically the same price as the 36lb.
@@SeaEagleBoats Received both, Sea Eagle‘s motormount and Newport Vessel 36lb Kayak Series trolling motor. Motormount’s white plastic block isn't thick enough to snug tighten the motor screws. 😔😔😔
Interesting that your trolling motor gives you 4 mph. For a couple of thousand dollars you can get a whole 3 mph more with an electric outboard. LOL. I bought the 70 lbs watersnake, haven't gone full throttle yet.. It even has a boost button.
The Watersnake 70 is a great trolling motor and is perfect for many occasions! The speed we clocked was at full speed so the battery would be depleted relatively quickly. A motor like the Torqeedo may be pricey but does offer much more overall power and would last much longer at this speed especially with the optional solar panel.
Prices are good man loved this company for someone that don’t have a truck this is perfect for car 🚙 love it
Absolutely. This boat will easily fit deflated in a car. Cheers!

The Quiksail is great, but do you have to keep your feet on the masts for stability? (~as it appears to be only tethered on one side by the rope.)

Amazing video once again

How’d it work out?
How long has the battery lasted for the day

Whats the approx range on the Watersnake and battery combo? Say at like mid-power?

Is there a way to fit a Newport Vessel Kayak series 55lbs to my Explorer 380X ?
