Awesome video thanks you just saved me like $60 I think I saw them going for for 25 mats . I am definitely going to do this
The paint on the ends is a sealer that prevents the end grains from sucking up water and causing the wood to rot from the inside out.
I would use balsa wood cause you rough it up and make it look used and beat up cause I have never used "new mats"
I'm glad I work plant construction. These scenes are easily reproducible if you're surrounded by it 12 hours a day
