Man this arc was so well written, especially the character development of Meruem and Gon the way Meruem went from evil to a caring man, and Gon the person who wouldn't wanna hurt a soul to an absolute killing machine without any remorse
the only thing they did mess up is kite’s relationship with gon. It seem more that gon cares for a random dude his dad knew, IF you havent read the manga. The manga did it really good tbh.

I remember when I first started the arc. I thought I was watching a different show, I started to get mad and was confused.. then episodes later.. I fell in love with the story. What a life changing arc

The most beautiful arc ever in anime. I felt very frustrated when I started this arc as characters like hisoka or phantom troupe members were not there and thought how weird the whole chimera ant thing sounded. I feel ashamed to have even thought of that. This is beautiful.Truly one of the most well written arcs ever. There was just so much. All the characters had so much depth. The world is'nt black and white, it is just different shades of grey.
We can make jokes on how the chimera ant arc is long and painful to watch but we all can collectively agree the ending of the arc makes it worth it

This anime…..
I had no idea what was waiting for me in this arc. From the silly and funny hunter exam arc to the more serious and actiony yorknew arc, I learned that this show can change it’s feel very quickly. The chimera ants were very scary to me and I hated them for what happened at the beginning. Later, I realized that they did what they had to.
All in all, this anime is incredible and would totally recommend to people into action anime.
Man, I did NOT know what I was getting into when this arc first started 😭😭

Man, meruem has got to be the greatest character ever in anime history. Starting off as vicious and ignorant being not knowing how the world works, and by meeting an outcast who's only redeeming factor is her skill in shogi, understood what it means to become human. At the end of the arc, he became more human than the rest of the species that considered him as a monster, (Gon became a machine solely to satisfy his revenge, netero resorting to malice just to meet his selfish ideals).

Hunter x Hunter is such a masterpiece.
Many people don't like Chimera Ant Arc, and I gotta admit, I hated it at first watch, too. But man... re-watching HxH hit hard... really hard. I was so stupid and immature, thinking lowly of Chimera Ant arc, even skipping it at the first re-watch. *Chimera Ant is the best arc in the anime, and Meruem is such a great, great character with the best character development I've ever seen.* No matter how many times I watch HxH, Chimera Ant hits me hard every single time. What a masterpiece.

hxh A masterpiece, and Togashi is a great anime-making author who departed from the usual Scheonen anime style.
I think Togashi is probably the best shonen mangaka of all times. Both Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter are some of the best series of the genre.

Everyone's been talking how sad it is to see kite and meruem die and although I agree, you gotta admit that it was kind of heartbreaking in a way to see gon who was such a good hearted kid, spiral into mindless rage while at the same time ignoring his friends and casting them aside as if they weren't even there.

I like hw Togashi makes almost all characters hv their own story development.
I think Togashi's "Law of Cause and Effect" implementation is great in HxH, every single moment in HxH seems to hv meaning.
Despite its ostensible ambiguity, "NEN" is actually really well explained in HxH, Togashi's logic never falters. Togashi creates each element with exquisite detail, such as Nen which has its own framework of logical structure. One of the most interesting aspects of Nen in terms of combat and subterfuge.
The power of Nen in HxH works like the power of mind when it comes to belief, which is why almost every character in HxH is so memorable, as the saying "a strong mind breeds a strong body".
Hatsu which is the last principle of Nen, which is influenced by personality, character, emotional state, mental fortitude. With these rules that make the characters really feel alive, we can know the elements of each character just by knowing which type of Nen they are.
HxH is one that presents a battle that is not only a matter of strength, but also a mind game that contributes to the decisive aspect of victory in a battle. This is the real attraction that is very unforgettable in this series, "Masterpiece".
Togashi also presents a very detailed, epic and captivating plot in the HxH story. "slowly but surely" is what crossed my mind.

Man that's the best arc in Shonen in my opinion and I watched many shonen animes Marineford comes close but this arc was the most beautiful thing i watch. I miss HxH
