My first mistake I made as a CVICU nurse was missing a hematoma. The same situation. Paired with an inappropriate assignment and right at shift change we found it. Complete craziness
I really love your content and I like how you keep it real about how wretched it can be out here in the real world of nursing. Your story of your unsafe assignment, how the other nurses didn't help you and then how you were blamed infuriates me. And the other said part is that you almost seem to gaslight yourself into accepting blame for this when you shouldn't. You were a victim of a horrible system that then brainwashes you into also beating up on yourself. The nurse and the patient suffer, while the hospital could care less. And shame again on those miserable trash that didn't help you, who also didn't give a damn about the patient. P.S. I am signing up for your academy. Thanks for providing this service and help in a profession where unfortunately it doesn't always seem to happen.
Hey guys can you do a video about how to deal with difficult coworkers ❤❤❤ I love your videos and I’m not an icu nurse yet by my goal is to become one to pursue CRNA and I do plan to join your academy once I become an icu nurse! Thank you 🙏🏾 you guys are invaluable and phenomenal ❤
no strategy is going to work across the board for every specialty but I can also see bedside report be beneficial in not getting patient stories mixed up - especially when you have 6 patients. Thank you for listening and hope you got some other strategies that may be helpful out of this episode

I can see why beside report works well for ICU but juggling 6 + patients in med-surge? I have y et to see that work out well .
