I've heard that the FW knights are actually pretty easy and fun to put together; it's the price that's off-putting! Also, I really want some of those Moirax Armigers. :)
I feel the reason why you think the price is so steep is that for 37 pound (57 usd) you get one warglaive while for 45 pound (75 usd) you get two, in that aspect if you was to Field 2 of the fw ones it will cost 74 pound (114 usd) which is ludicrous cause they could just sell it as a upgrade kit at a fraction of the cost

I want to run an Knight Atrapos as a Knight Preceptor, just because I love how different the Cerastus line is from the Questoris. I just wish there were more weapons options so I could build the loadout that I want, but luckily the Atrapos's plasma cutter is similar in design as the Precetor's las-impulsor.
Forgeworld have succeeded with their knights where GW proper have struggled, i feel. All of the knights feel distinct from each other, the mechanicum knights have their own aesthetic. The 'basic' knights have theirs, all the while having enough commonality to look good together. GWs knights look so samey, its such a shame that over the years as they added sprues to the base kit that the only nod individualizing your knights was face plates. I would have loved to see a sprue for mechanicus knights with distinct armor plates and maybe a weapon unique to them. And the same for both knightly houses and freeblades.
The Acastus Knights feel very much like there was a plastic imperial and resin mechanicus design for each as there is with all the other knights, but at the last minute GW decided that both of them were going to be made by forge world instead. Possibly because they realised that "holy crap giving players the Porphyrion in regular games would be ridiculous".
The ammo feeds are great, the reason they're missing from the regular kits is because you can't bend plastic like you can with resin. It'd leave only one pose on a huge, center piece kit, or need to be in a bunch of extra parts. Would be cool to see fw produce an extra parts kit to add them though

Not sure if both are available in the kit but the single cyclops head I've seen on the Magaera knight models are much better than the sad robot one on the Styrix.
As much as I love the idea of the questoris I don’t think I could get one since they started making the cerastus. The Acheron would be a fantastic backing to my Salamanders but I have to agree that the Atropos looks incredible! One day....
With the increase in price for GW models it no longer makes sense to purchase these here in the states. Would really love to add to my collection but the pricing is just ridiculous.
I own a Lancer and I love it. Deciding on a pose was a bitch but once you lock it down it was a great project. If you can justify the money and you want a Cerastus I highly recommend
I have only one problem with the knight-castigator, and that’s that the sword is too short, as is the sword arm. I find both just a little on the short side. If both were maybe 10% longer each I think it’d look much better.
Atapos is my favorite cerastus. The Acheron is a close second, the Lancer is third, and the Castigator is my least favorite. I just can't get over how ridiculous it is to have such little articulation for it's sword arm. If you want to pose it in a resting state, you have to bend the entire arm below the elbow just to point the tip of the blade downwards. If the Castigator had articulation at the wrist, or if the sword was arm-mounted tonfa style, I would like it much more. However, for reasons unknown, FW has decided not to give you the option of acceptable slashing poses out of box.

The Atropos is absolutely my favorite...but is a real bastard to assemble. The questoris knights look really good on the table...the Magaera was my first FW knight, but is not the best stat-wise.
For me it's the Lancer. The moment I saw it I knew I needed it. Plus I have an idea for how to make it look unique. My only real issue is I'm a terrible painter and I want to do the model justice.
Personally I’m gonna have to go with the castigator knight and the knight porphyrion they just do it for me. Something about Gatling guns and turbo lasers.
It seems to me the actual knight helm is still flipped up and their faces are always showing shouldn't the face plate rotate from above their faces protect and look more armoured and way cooler ?????
I really like the ammo/tube feed for the guns as well but then if I think about it sensibly (which I shouldnt), they are friggin exposed, a well placed shot onto them can pretty much render the entire gun useless haha, cutting the ammo feed from the gun.
I actually used to HATE the Atrapos whenever I looked at the FW knights. But after looking at the bare resin here, I've softened up to it. I think it was the really dull paintjob and awkward posing that did it for me. Bare it looks much better.
Haven’t watched all the video yet, doesn’t the castigator have the ammo belt you want? (Yeah it did; never mind) I own the castigator, they are a pain to put together. I want the Atropos. Of course. Personally I reckon the acastus porphyrion is great too. That chunk of resin looks like the terminators roided up big brother. While I can see people fearing the Atropos, i reckon the Porphyrion properly causes terror ( *2nd edition reference intentional)
The Asterius reminds me of Big O (the show, not the titular robot) for some reason. I can't quite say why, but it looks like a Megadeus, and it's my favorite FW knight for that reason alone. If y'all don't know what I'm talking about, go track down the series right now. We're all cooped up home anyway. Might as well watch some great anime.
Yo, as a collector of the Tech Lads, I humbly request that you do a range review for the adeptus mechanicus, and it’s skitarii legions, loved the vid! Goodbye.

Also Kirioth - ‘This is my favourite ForgeWorld Knight!’ (The only one without the ammo pack😂)
The Atropos is absolutely my favorite...but is a real bastard to assemble. The questoris knights look really good on the table...the Magaera was my first FW knight, but is not the best stat-wise.
I have a lancer and its my favorite model i own. It was my first forgeworld model. Also holy shit is the spear massive on the model.
I love the Castigator too but its 300!$ in the USA. we get the pleasure of spending about 50 extra dollars for the same product.
When I get to the stage where I can afford one (but can't afford a Warhound) I'd totally get a Castigator.
Isnt there some rules to be able to field atrapos? Its my fav by far. Then moirax.
I’m a castigator man myself in regards to the cerastus knights
(Yeah it did; never mind)
I own the castigator, they are a pain to put together.
I want the Atropos. Of course.
Personally I reckon the acastus porphyrion is great too. That chunk of resin looks like the terminators roided up big brother. While I can see people fearing the Atropos, i reckon the Porphyrion properly causes terror ( *2nd edition reference intentional)
I think Veuglaire is said like View Glare?
12:25 Ooh he's a big'un! A serioud big'un! O_O
as someone who owns an atropos I am happy
OK i now know what my nest personal 3D modeling project is
The Asterius reminds me of Big O (the show, not the titular robot) for some reason.
Goodbye.
Everything from the Prophyrion to the end of the video look like they should be Chaos. Something about the proportions of them compared to the Questoris Knights just have a look that puts me in mind of Chaos taint.
I would replace the arm-guns of the porphyrion with apocalypse missile launchers
i word i would recommend instead of realistic would be believable
"its a believable mechanicus design" as an example of my meaning in this
13:30 functional... that is about what your looking for, a thing that looks like it could function.
I'm a Castigator and Lancer man myself.
I am currently working on all 4 of the Crastus knights, just finished 3 Moirax, a Styrix and Mageara pics on my Instagram airbrush.cowboy ;)
the acastus is genuinely the same height as the warhound. Not the same chunkiness tho
I'm sorry. But my favourite is the knight lancer and I'm the same, as soon as forge world opens, one WILL be mine. Oh yes. He will be mine
We know you love your head wait...
Porphyrion for me, all the way, I am an old School batteltech fan and this one looks propper mech-y!
main requirement of watching youtube channels: Harmonious voices. Subbed.
My favourite is the Kytan.. oh wait that's not a knight.. or is it? No but the Knight Moirax is my favourite. The smaller knights are cool
I have a Castigator, it wasnt that bad to put together.
i love the flamer/fist knight most. still. if i buy forgeworld it'll be a warhound.
Kirioth how could you miss out the Warlord-Sinister Psi-Titan
Buy for my favourite of all the titans
veuglaire - a french medieval cannon - vu-glare
Forge World Chaos Knight?
I've pronounced Veuglaire as 'vo-glare'.
You forgot the chaos questoris Knight, I thought that would have been a high priority for you
If I ever win the lottery...
I mean they could have called the Volkite Veuglaire the Volkite Crapaudaux..
