I have a 2022 Atlas SEL with a V6 and tow package. Great vehicle and love all the features.
Such a beautiful SUV with amazing LED LIGHTING
I bought my 2024 VW Atlas R trim and I love it!
Awesome content with my dream SUV Ben.
2.0 4 cylinder turbo in a huge SUV, get ready for engine replacements. I don't understand why we don't get the euro versions( Diesel Touareg ).
Absolutely wrong, the 2.0 4 cyl is VWs longest running and most reliable engine. The Audi Q5 and Q7 use it with 261 hp each and I’ve never seen a replacement needed for one.
This EA888 4th gen is even better 👍👍👍, basically a de tuned Golf R engine
your camera moves two quickly, it is not stabilizing.
My wife has a Volkswagen atlas 2021. She had a deer in May 2023 and it has been sitting at the autobody shop every sense. The autobody shop cannot source a bumper or hood for this car and Volkswagen cannot tell us when they will start making hoods or bumpers for this car. This has left us with a car payment and insurance but no car that we can drive. I would not buy a Volkswagen. Atlas Volkswagen is not manufacturing parts to repair their cars.
Well, I owned Atlas R Line and wouldn't go back to buy any VW. It failed me at 56K with radiator, water pump and many sensors. Never again VW. I wish all VW Atlas will not have any issues like mine. And one last things is carbin noises as well.
Volkswagen is recalling about 2,000 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport SUVs from model year 2024 because their engines can fail while driving. “In rare cases,” Volkswagen says, the problem can trigger a vehicle fire.
VW tells federal safety officials that “contamination during the bearing production process may have caused an increased particle occurrence in the engine oil circuit,” which can lead to wear around the connecting rod bearings. That can loosen those connections
Too bad they got rid of the v6. Having the same motor as my gti in a bigger suv is hilarious
The 4 cylinder is faster than the VR6 due to the torque curve
@@aidangraham4727but with turbo, less reliable.more shit to break.
@@dcartellone2659basically you’re right. However, the newer generations have not shown any significant issues with the turbocharger.
The bad points of my VW Atlas are
You can’t put the seat heat ON at night in order to have a warm seat or steering once you start the engine at morning inside your house
Secondly
You can’t put the car on Eco mode permanently
But we have to change to eco mode every time we start the car
What’s the difference between eco and comfort ? I have this car and don’t feel any difference honestly
Lol, you’re mad that you can’t run the seat heater for 12 hours?? Or set some sort of timer for it?? Come on.
@@traviswoodall6547 I think he’s saying he wants it to come on by default, such as if you remote start your car to warm up in the winter, most people would want the seats to heat up at the same time, vs waiting to get in to manually turn them on.
my eco mode stays on and so does my sport mode
very nice
Would get it if the reliability was good…
Honestly my experience with VW is good. It is far from being unreliable.
Worse shit dont buy. after two months. check light . over heated. rear AC . its a big bull shit
You talk way too fast
😂😂😂
VW really needs to work on reliability before they even think about expanding their market in the US.
Have 2 of them (2019 Jetta and 2023 Taos ) flawless reliability so far. These reliability comments are getting old. My most unreliable cars have all been American cars.
@@great_deception correct, modern VWs since they introduced gen3 of the EA888 2.0t and the 1.8t in 2015 with the GTI have been super reliable in the grand scheme.
@@great_deceptionagreed. No more American cars for me.
@@great_deception I couldnt agree more, i’ve had three new vw’s since 2015 and none have ever given a single issue!
Sorry. It’s reliable if you do the maintenance. A lot of Americans ignore that part. Get a Honda.
Looks very cheap
would like to see the ambient lighting of the SEL model during night / darker light
It’s so nice in person.
I just bought my wife the Volkswagen atlas R she loves it first ever Volkswagen wife's previous vehicle Ford edge ST 😊
You don’t have to press a button to close the hatch. Just wave your foot under the bumper and stand back.
I went to a dealer to change oil for my Jetta we want to buy this I saw it in person and oh my God I fell in love and I seen many suvs this car in person looks huge and I can't say enough
The only issue this is 64k Canadian in Canada prices are just way too much and you have to add tax another 8k and interest rate another 8k that's 16k gone before 64k
So 64k plus 16k is ridiculous to drive a basic suv it's nice but it's not Lincoln or Cadillac
Hey Ben Does the Atlas Cross Sport R line Premium still have fake exhaust vents in rear?
yes
@@MemphisMo ruins the whole vehicle. Thank you
It's not a good look for sure and I literally build the damn things@@dadoo985 maybe we'll finally get it right on the next model
Hey man, weren't you my math tutor at SLCC Mathlab in 2013-2014???
No lol
VAG is garbage and here is why: NO CUSTOMER service in Canada, I own a 2021 Audi A4 TFSI 45 mild hybrid (261hp) with 30K km. Problems : central diff was locking, dealer changed the fluid, sims ok now, rust appearing on the roof near the windshield, rear shocks are starting to sweat. The worst thing, that the dealers don't care anymore. Don"t mention the jetta 2010 which I bought new at the time, holes all over the car from rust. Never again I will purchase a VAG product.
Can you get it without the ugly wood interior? 🤮
I love how you talk fast, and get right to the point. Love your videos, when buying a vehicle I respect and value your opinions
is it true that the R-Line VW logo does not light up compared to the SE with Tech trim ? :-O
Judging by these comments, there are a lot of suckers that going to buy this SUV with the four cylinder engine SMH
Good content but delivery too fast for me.
56k 😂
Can you see album art on the digital cockpit when listening to music on carplay?
Just test drove one today, yes you can.
they couldn't have made the interior screens smaller....O.o
In 56000 k you can buy pure luxry car models accura mdx, audi ,lexus 😅
Yeah with absolutely no options or features. To get a HUD, full connectivity and premium sound system, you are back up over $80k.
Nothing but low budget Audi q8
Sounds like a bargain
Shares the same chassis & parts
@@amanvirmani4079 nope sir, Audi Q8 is built on MLB Evo platform (Porsche Cayenne, Bentley Bentayga), Atlas is MQB (as is Audi Q6 and Tiguan).
@@whiskeyskcorrect.
Could you explain why VW not adopt auto hold for a brake unlike other competitors ???
🤷♂️
Because auto start stop & auto hold cannot go together
@@amanvirmani4079 that's not true... BMW, Mercedes also have auto hold and start stop
Actually even though it doesn't have the label showing auto hold, it does have it. I have a 2021 VW Arteon and it doesn't have that label but it works flawlessly. I use it all the time at long stop lights!
@@jitengori9268My 2022 Q5 is the same way and I suspect that this vehicle operates the parking brake as a brake hold as well.
I am having an issue with my 2024 Volkswagen Atlas. I bought it last September 23rd, 2023. Three days after, after I gas up, the Distance-To-Empty decreases by 5 miles instead of per mile. It's bothersome knowing that it changes like this. When I went to the dealer, they said that "normal operation for range to go down by increments of fives. test driven another atlas, same condition.". Which I need clarification on that.
It is normal though...
The value is only estimated anyway since it heavily depends on you current driving style and traffic situation.
I still have my 2003 VW Passat and still runs great. The decrease of mileage in increments of 5 is normal. It’s been that way the day I took delivery of the car when it was new.
The trouble with any VW product is that, no matter how nice it is, the quality and reliability is appalling. It's amazing that companies like Jaguar are the butt of all the reliability jokes when modern VWs are far worse in this respect.
I must drive a Toyota that has more recalls than VW 🤡
I have the complete opposite experience. No issues so far with VW.
And btw I think recalls are a good think since the company reacts to potential problems when they get to know of them. Just because other manufacturers don’t have recalls doesn’t mean they have no problems.
