At least 3 times, possibly more, we have thrown the game off assuming a FG will be cleanly executed.
If your offense is struggling, I get it. When you have a top 3 QB in the league that's put up 5TDs and 400 yards, 4:50 on the clock on the opponents 40 1st and 10, you put the ball in your fucking QB's hands.
On top of that, Zac literally calls a timeout and ICES HIS OWN KICKER? Not condemning these idiotic blunders is the reason Mike Brown will keep Zac for another 15 years like Marvin.

Well the o line is better this yr then others but when the games on the line they brake everytime and borrow needs the Learn to step up in the pocket more he drops back 3 steps then stands there to long and when he does try stepping up in the pocket the inter line isn't holding up borrow can't throw int in the 4th qd ether

The defense is the reason why they lost, not the hold, not the interception. You can’t give up 41 points. It shouldn’t come down to a single play.

I’m a Ravens fan. But this game was epic. I hate these high scoring games. But some of the passes were just INSANE!

That was one of the worst 3 play calls after recovering the fumble in OT that I’ve EVER seen. “Inept” is the only word. I’ve never been one to call for Zac’s head but if today doesn’t show he’s neither a head coach nor play caller then I don’t know what you need to see.
If there was ever a time for Zac to go for the throat in OT, it was today. 1st division game, losing record, no home wins, and you run it 3 times. Pure incompetence.

I'm honestly still in shock. This season has been such a disappointment. I get that we've had a couple very unlucky plays that cost us the game including the FG hold today, but Burrow is playing so well, how is the defense this bad??? Something needs to change man!
Yup. No reason why our defense went from the top 10 to the very last in only a few seasons, even with getting rid of Reader and Bates that shouldn't of made a drastic difference to this defense. Nobody knows how to tackle, they aren't able to guard their man; we went from being a terrible run defense and okay pass defense the past few games to now an okay run defense and a terrible pass defense. No reason three veterans should be getting smoked downfield like that. I honestly think Stone was throwing the game a bit there, even did a little helmet hit with Lamar on one of the plays

Taylor also took the ball out of Burrow’s hands against New England when he decided to punt on 4th down, conceding the game.
There's one simple reality for the Bengals in all this. Just as KC is the Ravens kyrptonite, such is the case for the Bengals with Lamar. He now has a 9-1 record against them.

Bengals greatest accomplishment was tanking to get the #1 pick and drafting. Burrow. Now that he's here you can see they are too cheap and slow to actually build a winning franchise around him. This franchise has been a joke for years and nobody should expect anything else.

It was smart by Zac to play it safe with a good kicker. That kicker prob would have made it if the hold was better. And that would have been game. So it’s Zac fault the holder lost the game?
@@HollyG95you always kick on 3rd down in these situations for this exact reason if the hold is botched you fall on it and kick again. But no they ran it against the best rush defense in the league 3 straight times and put all the pressure on that one play. Now we are 1-4 this coaching staff sucks

Zac Taylor is the worst coach in football
Seems the Safeties are not very good with Bell and Stone, and they were supposed to be a major upgrade. Bell looks slow to me and not very athletic, and Stone looks small and not really fast either. I kind of think Stone benefitted playing on such an awesome Ravens Defense last year that was getting pressure all the time, and mostly winning, and had that intimidating Ravens feel. I'm not so sure he was as good as the Bengals maybe thought. That being said, I think he may be ok overall as he continues to learn the Bengals scheme, but I'm kind of concerned he and Bell are going to be a bottom 10 duo in the NFL. They should have focused more on developing Jordan Battle. But they panicked and tried to bring in the veterans. General Manager seems to have missed with drafting and free agents on D recently.
Yep I could have told you Stone was overpaid. He was a backup his entire career and got lucky with a bunch of INTs last year. Sad thing is I really like stone but he and Queen went to the worst possible teams

Our Bengals are way under performing
Zac Taylor is the cause of those point swings. Week 1 not prepared out the gate again against a team that will probably win 3 games in the Patriots. We play great in KC negated by a PI from a guy who had no right to be on the field a personnel decesion by Taylor and the coaching staff. A Monday night football game were it looked like no one was really prepared at all by the coaching staff. Carolina game where the offense took its foot off the petal but we still won. Today coaching not to lose instead of coaching to win. The offense was cooking and you didn't trust them in OT? And I do think the Brown family sees things and how our window is. I do think he will be fired if he has another game like this. He is slowly losing the locker room. Taylor got carried to a superbowl by a talented team. But he is cleary driving this Lamborghini with the E brake on!

The owners and mgmt, need to step up and hold these coaches accountable, Slack taylor is Marvin Lewis 2.0 his record ( 43-50-1 (.463) and lackadaisical attitude are spot on. This coach and his staff have been riding the backs of our star players since he got here. All of fans want to know why we still have this coach with his LOSING record, any other franchise would have fired his sorry A$$.

The defense isn’t really inconsistent, it’s more surprising to see them do something good than bad. So when it comes to consistency, they are consistently bad.

You let Joe throw it worse case scenario joe throws a pick going to either Chase or Higgins or hell throw it Chase brown on some quick screen and see it he can hit the outside. If Joe throws a pick lets say around the 10-20 yard line. Its better then giving them the ball on the 50 yard line. You air that ball out or atleast act like your going to instead of bringing in 8 OL just means committing 1000% to running. Which makes it easy on the Defense that Joe torched all game...
And with all that said if the kicker gets a good snap bengals still win so why blame the play calling and not the snap and/or holder

Hey folks...tough one & some self evaluations must happen after this for everyone in the organization. There are going to be a lot of things thrown out there this week locally & nationally but the team has to stay together & take it 1 game at a time. Now on to the Philly game. If this season is lost do the 'powers that be' in the organization have the courage to make the requisite moves to make this a retool instead of a rebuild if the season goes south.

Three running plays, Zac knows he 's going to kick a FG to try to win the game. Then when he sends the FG team on the field, he calls a timeout to ice his own kicker. DUMBEST CALL OF ALL TIME!
I'm a Ravens fan and there's a true difference in the coaching decisions. The game on the line, Ravens coaches trusts Lamar, Bungles coaches seems to doubt Burrow.

Season difining loss today and the Def is the issue now. Cinn. needs to accept the cheap Burrow years are gone and it's time to rebuild the team the way the Chiefs and Bills have done. You don't win by paying top tier WR's, you win by paying the top 5 NFL QB and build a cheap team around him as he elevates the less talented players and have a Def that makes stops. Having a 1-4 record is only 3 more losses the remaining season from missing the playoffs... again. Gut check time in the Cinn. locker room.

The defense sucks and that's not going to have a chance at changing until the offseason.That's the real story. It seems like they haven't drafted too well on that side of the ball despite investing a lot of picks over the last several years and a lot of their established players are aging out. 38 points from Joe Burrow and the offense should always be enough to win.
