"The United States is continuing to provide military assistance to Ukraine under previously approved aid packages, despite a temporary pause in foreign aid funding, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, said on Jan. 29."
The Ukraine Aid Bill was passed by a large majority in Congress and was signed into law by Pres. Biden. Pres. Trump can veto future spending bills, but not those that have already been passed.
What "Ukraine grift"? The GAO has been auditing Ukraine aid now for nearly three years and has not found any grift at all. We are tracking every piece of equipment sent to Ukraine with microchips to ensure that it is not being sold off by corrupt officials there, and to date everything is legit.
Imagine living in California while Ohio is getting invaded by a foreign power that spends more than 30% of their GDP on their military and you still think spending less than 4% of your own GDP on your own military is going to keep you safe. EU needs to step up.

You mean "DEI," and you are correct that most Americans are GLAD to see it gone. It was always a waste of government resources, and contrary to the 14th amendment guarantee of equal protection.
Europe is funding and supplying Ukraine. NLAWS, Storm Shadow/Scalp, F16s, Mirage 2000, Challenger2,, Leopard 1, Leopard 2, radars, long range artillery for starters
In terms of total funding (including humanitarian aid and budget support), Europe has contributed as much as the US. The US has led in terms of military equipment simply because we have vast stockpiles of the stuff, while Europe has very little to spare. The solution is to use the frozen ruzzian assets to buy from the US the fighter jets, tanks etc. that we have in abundance so as to tip the balance against the teetering ruzzian mafia state. Ruzzia has already lost 2/3 of its armor and a third of its Black Sea fleet in the conflict, so it is now sending troops onto the battlefield on scooters and golf carts, with slim to no protection against Ukrainian FPV drones, artillery and HIMARS strikes. The ruzzian losses, running about about 45,000 casualties per month, are completely unsustainable.
Thank you God for all those years we were able to help and Thank you God for those who will still help Ukraine. Thank you God that I do have a heart of flesh and know for a fact you will always take care of me and what I give to others you will repay me again as it says in your word. And I do Thank you for saving me before the foundation of the World. Thank you. You need to repent of your hatred for what you call "the snake in the MAGA party." Jesus taught us to pray for our enemies...but of course the MAGA movement is not your enemy, even if some of its adherents may be confused about some issues. Thanks to Pres. Trump, pressure will be put on Putin to withdraw his murderous troops from Ukraine, well beyond anything Joe Biden did until the last two weeks of his Administration.
Trumps priorities are Trump, if he does not personally and directly benefit from any government spending it is going to be stopped or at least come under an extreme amount of scrutiny.
He’s got a lot of ground to make up, as Biden received $31.5 million, through the conduit of the smartest man he knows , Hunter 😂, at least Trump loves, and protects his country ,unlike the Biden crime family.
Lying is a sin. If Pres. Trump had to "personally and directly benefit from any government spending," why has he refused to take his Presidential salary? He is the only President ever to do so. And you can't identify a single government program that "personally and directly benefits President Trump."
Thank goodness . Throwing billions of taxpayers dollars with no clear strategy of ending the conflict, only prolonging it. We welcome it. I'm sure with some diplomacy and negotiations there will be a resolution. A breath of fresh air honestly.
The way to end the conflict is to go all in in support of Ukraine. How is it that after nearly 3 years of war, we have yet to send Ukraine a single A10 Warthog or F16 fighter jet, even though we have thousands of these in mothballs doing nothing, with no plans to use them? Why have we sent Ukraine only 13 Abrams tanks, when we have over a thousand of them sitting idle. Such aid can be provided to Ukraine at minimal cost, and will tip the balance in favor of the defenders without any US troops having to fight there.
" Everything is going according to plan ", this was clearly stated in that project 2025. Unfortunately half of Americans didn't think it was worth their time to go vote. Leaving the decision to approx. a quarter of eligible American voters to determine all your futures.
Take care of America first!! Supplying condoms to Gaza is ironic. Shouldn't they be multiplying and replenishing? A former BBC journalist or commentator? A federal judge wants to review.
Effectively, he is also about to levy a direct tax on the American people by imposing tariffs on imports. It will be interesting to see how consumers react when they realize that American tariffs, while they do hurt the country selling the goods by harming their ability to compete in a free market, are paid by the citizens of the nation that imposes the tariffs - the American purchaser of goods. Wealthy Americans can probably afford it though, unless the increased business costs cause too much trouble -- car parts for example - and their personal assets will increase in value. Ordinary Americans who count on a regular pay check and who have relied on cheap goods? Not so much. Every business will be affected differently. The ability of American businesses to compete will be affected too, of course, especially when trading nations respond with tariffs of their own. American tariffs are not a one way proposition and will definitely hit America first. It’s a good time to be wealthy. Buckle up.
The US consumer won't be paying the tariffs. Example, we have US lumber producers and Canadian lumber producers who sell for around the same price. When a 25% tariff is put on Canadian lumber, the US lumber retailers are gonna start exclusively buying US lumber. They're not gonna pay 25% more for Canadian lumber and mark it up 25%, they can't, because their competitors will be buying US produced lumber to sell in their stores that will be priced cheaper. If the Canadian lumber wholesaler wants to retain his US customers, he will be forced to lower his price 25% to indirectly pay the tariff, or sell no lumber.
@ Assuming there is no demand for the Canadian lumber in the US, that supply can be met with US lumber exclusively, and that the Canadians can’t sell to others who seek to import the cheaper wood into their countries, yes. It gets even more complicated within value added supply chains where domestic businesses depend on less expensive imported parts, for example, to create the secondary or even tertiary industry they’re in. Tariffs are very complicated and both benefit and harm people in complex ways, which is why, of course, businesses historically seek free trade zones in a free market economy. That’s all about to come to an end by the look of things. Interesting times ahead.
@@sisuriffs If Canada can sell its lumber and other things to other countries, they should do it. The US just doesn't need their things, since we have producers of the same things they produce. US lumber production in the great southern pine forest has now surpassed Canada in lumber production. It was due to Biden increasing the tariffs on Canadian lumber to 15%. We also have a big lumber industry in northwestern and other states. The reason Canada has been selling so much lumber to the US is not because we needed it, but because they had tariff free trade and their government subsidizes lumber. The King owns 89% of the land and resources, called crown land, and he sells his trees to Canadian lumber producers cheaper than US companies can buy trees in the US. The 25% tariffs should be enough to shut out Canadian lumber from competing with US lumber. Nothing against Canada, but we have to look out for ourselves. We can no longer give countries tariff free access to our markets. Historically, only states got tariff free trade. We never allowed a foreign country tariff free access to flood us with products and compete with US companies. We're going back to the days where everything is made in the US. Canada needs to just become a state and avoid the collapse of their economy. 80-90% of their exports are sold to the US, while they only buy 10% of our things due to gobs of tariffs against US products. They have no way to win a trade war since we're basically the only one buying their things.
@ You raise many good points. I appreciate your nuanced take on a startlingly complicated situation. Apologies if I respond in too much detail here. TH-cam is less than perfect for good discussions. I agree that Canada should find new less volatile markets. I would add Canada should return to the days of less US-connected trade dependency, that Canada should find trading partners more reminiscent of the pre-NAFTA years while removing current interprovincial trade barriers. Canada needs firmer borders. In Canada, the whole issue of ‘reciprocity’ with such a powerful neighbour to the south has been a sovereignty issue since 1867. I disagree a little with your characterization of how Canada-US tariffs have worked in the past. President Taft, for example, was a big proponent of tariffs but was clear about avoiding them when it came to primary resources (like lumber, oil, etc.). You are right though that the difference between how primary resource development is administered in the two countries has been at the centre of the softwood lumber disputes that have occurred and been more or less resolved peacefully, regularly since the eighties. You summarize the American business owners’ lobby position accurately, but the concept of Crown Lands isn’t exactly lands that belong to the King, though I see why it sure seems that way to private American companies who must own the lands they develop or log, for example. For the record, many American companies have also made a fortune developing Canadian resources, in Canada. Many Canadians over the generations welcomed the local albeit often temporary American investments in their communities even as they sometimes resented the obvious cost to the area when whole forests were clear cut for pulp and paper for the New York Times in my father’s time, for example. Canadian companies did too. A smoking chimney means a full lunch pail, was the saying then. Similar development practices went occurred in the USA too, I realize. Crown lands refers to the fact that under the Canadian constitution, each province manages resource rights through charging ‘stumpage fees’ to loggers, in the case of softwood. Resources such as oil, nickel, critical minerals, etc. fall under that important provincial jurisdiction. Alberta, for example, is VERY protective of its oil rights, and was burned big time when Biden killed the Keystone Pipeline agreement. Oil remains an emotional east-west issue even within Canada. Despite the stereotypes of supposedly socialist Canada, the Biden administration was no friend to Canadian business. Crown lands therefore do not belong to the King, but of course, in a constitutional monarchy like Canada, New Zealand, Australia, or the UK, the King remains an important figure head- more like Uncle Sam than an actual owner of anything in a sovereign Canada. The Governor General represents the Crown, and is a Canadian appointed by the elected PM to fulfill Constitutional ‘royal’ duties. You and I probably agree the two countries should probably amicably part ways a bit. Many Canadians objected to tying the economy to a country with TEN times the population and purchasing power in the first place. Canada fought an election over it (that is worth considering in the ‘they sell us more than we sell them’ idea being put out there these days. Canada could never consume as much as the USA can). It was Ronald Reagan himself, a friend of American big business, who with PM Brian Mulroney, a friend of big business in his own right, convinced everyone that NAFTA could only benefit both countries. Cheap Mexican labour at the time seemed irresistible as well. I would argue the Canadian and American worker paid a big price for that. Opponents warned that some day an isolationist president could come into power and threaten all the mutual advantages conservative Canadian, American, and Mexican politicians promised with NAFTA. They argued the USA is actually a naturally isolationist country. I respect that. The world owes a lot to America and the Enlightenment principles it was founded upon. But I never supported tying our economy to the USA so enthusiastically. The mouse must play carefully with his friend the elephant, even a friendly mouse and a friendly elephant. That day the Canadian opponents to the idea of a mutually prosperous and amicable North America has come, it seems, even though opponents back in the day were dismissed as parochial xenophobes with no vision, conviction, or courage. Canada will and should develop new trade relationships as America turns inward, as you suggest. Canada should and is already turning inward too. Yes, that means becoming more independent militarily too (that has been shamefully neglected). Canada will no doubt wish their American cousins well, but will never become a part of the USA. Never.
@@icontrolmyownguns2096 Quote: _"When a 25% tariff is put on Canadian lumber, the US lumber retailers are gonna start exclusively buying US lumber"_ And that will increase the price for US lumber because the demand for US lumber will skyrocket, if there even is enough US lumber. The same happened in the past when the US put high tariffs on other foreign products.
Fortunately, at the time of our Revolution, when we were being battered by a power more than three times our size, with a vast military, the French did not say "French money only for French people." Finally, if there is an allotment in the First Lady's budget for hair styling services, did you complain bitterly about that when the hair of Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and Jill Biden was styled at taxpayer expense? I didn't think so. Actually, during Pres. Trump's first term, Melania cut the cost of the Office of the First Lady by more than half compared to what Michelle had been spending.

Never.
@@icontrolmyownguns2096 Quote: _"When a 25% tariff is put on Canadian lumber, the US lumber retailers are gonna start exclusively buying US lumber"_
And that will increase the price for US lumber because the demand for US lumber will skyrocket, if there even is enough US lumber. The same happened in the past when the US put high tariffs on other foreign products.

France largely financed our war of independence. We can pay that debt forward by helping Ukraine in its war of independence against our major geopolitical foe.
Being good stewards of tax payer's money? Do you mean like using military planes to transport immigrants? Or having two department heads for the department of so called efficiency? Or are you talking about the thousands of dollars that is spent on Melania's hair stylist?
Lying, lying and lying. You didn't complain about Biden spending millions of dollars to fly illegal immigrants here from godforsaken places like Haiti. As for DOGE, it doesn't have "two department heads," because Vivek is off doing other things. In any event, neither Vivek nor Elon Musk was or is going to be paid a dime for their services.
Finally, if there is an allotment in the First Lady's budget for hair styling services, did you complain bitterly about that when the hair of Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama and Jill Biden was styled at taxpayer expense? I didn't think so.
Actually, during Pres. Trump's first term, Melania cut the cost of the Office of the First Lady by more than half compared to what Michelle had been spending.
